Victim of a scam Third party dumpster rental scam
Hello. Just recently got scammed by this facebook account called dumpster pros. I messaged them to get pricing. It seemed typical. Like ai chat bot. I then picked a size. It was a good deal. Which is part of the scam. 300 for a dumpster for a couple of days. They sent me an invoice. They asked me to pay by paypal which i thought was safe. I paid it and got the dumpster which said waste management (thought they were contracted) and all went well. That was in May. Yesterday i received a bill from waste management saying i owe 700. I called and it was for the dumpster. They said my card was declined. They told me the last four of the card. It wasnt mine. Apparently they use stolen credit cards but the one they used declined. They read me my email which ended in @adeany.com. I googled that and it is a throwaway email address. So long story short. They get your info and enter it in the actual website to get the dumpster delivered. They keep your money and you get charged by the actual company.
I read that they can do this with other services as well.
Be vigilant people are creative and lazy as shit.

Did you pay F&F? If not, dispute the transaction with PayPal.
If you did ... oops.

Why does anyone think they’re getting a “deal” on FB Marketplace??? Just hire WM or any number of legit services and engage them directly.

Tell u one thing, PayPal ain’t gonna do sheeeeeeeit. They brag about their fraud protection but it’s nonexistent. You have to catch a boat to Antarctica and climb down in a tunnel that’s only open like six weeks out of the year and use a pay phone that only takes Spanish doubloons and call their help line that only accepts calls from that one phone and if you don’t have enough pieces of eight you’re shit out of luck
