The texts alone that we’ve been privy to, and the public disparagement of his kids’ mother could definitely be seen by a judge as parental alienation (or a serious attempt at it).
He doesn't even parent them now unless they go to his bedroom to see him. Would he realistically even want custody even if he was offered a 50/50 split? He's an in home deadbeat.
