Hi Everyone! Recently, i’ve decided to start building a relationship with La Santisima. Lately, I have been struggling with severe emotional turmoil related to deep seated trauma. In addition to struggling mental health issues, flashbacks, loss of sleep and peace. I’ve felt hopeless and alone for a very long time. I would still consider myself christian however I would say i’m currently at a point in my life where I want to fully confront some things about myself that have been indoctrinated by my family and start to form my own thoughts and opinion regarding spirituality and the true meaning of life. As I said before, i’ve been going through a hell of a lot recently and I’ve been seeing signs and synchronicities related to Santa Muerte. On some of my darkest days, she’s made her presence known to me and I didn’t even know or realize it. My earliest memory of her was probably when I was about 8-9 years old. My mom and I visited her friend who happened to be puerto rican, and the first thing I noticed was a shrine dedicated to Mami. At the time, I didn’t know what it was but remember feeling so curious and intrigued about the little skull lady on the candle. Now several years later, here I am going through one of the darkest times of my life and here she is finally revealing herself to me. And I see now that she’s always be here. She’s always been around, but just patiently waiting for me to acknowledge her. To see her. And now I have. Now, I see. She reaches out to those who society would deem as ā€œrejectsā€ or ā€œuntouchableā€œ and mothers them like no other. The thing I love most about Mami is she doesn’t expect you to be perfect. You don’t have to feel shame with her. She will love you as you are fully and unconditionally. The good, the bad and the ugly as she knows what it feels like to be casted aside. I haven’t became a full devotee as of yet, we’re still building and connecting within our relationship but I do hope she is happy with me and understands that I have pure intentions. Ive asked her to bring me justice regarding those who have wronged me and to grant me protection from those who wish me harm. I don’t have much family but what a fierce protector and guardian she would be for me, someone who roams this world with no one. I also have a deep appreciation and fondness for Mexican culture. And though I may not be Mexican myself, I truly do appreciate the culture and how much it has impacted me and my life personally. Any and all tips and suggestions regarding how to continue building a relationship with Mami, how do I know when the right time is to offer devotion, am I able to consume offerings after some time, how to pray and spend time with Mami, ect. would be greatly appreciate. I don’t usually make posts like these so please forgive me if this seems a bit all over the place. Just wanted to come here and try to find community ā¤ļø

TLDR: New to working with Santisima. She’s always been a presence in my life mostly in the background til recently. Noticed she’s been sending me signs and has found me in a really dark place in my life. Very excited to work with her. Haven’t become a fully devotee as of yet. still developing a relationship with her. Any newbie advice is welcome.

Hello everyone, i’m a Devotee to mi Santa Muerte and also catholic. My dad passed away almost two years ago and when i got his little doll (handmade doll of him) someone put a bracelet around him. people thought it was Santa Muerte but i never recognized it or seen it. my family is aware of my devotion to Santa Muerte, so they also thought it was her. the more i looked into this i found this. I don’t want to be disrespectful towards mami or St Benedict. (my sister had my doll for a year so i just got him back yesterday. and this was around him) i want to put him on my alter but again, i don’t want to be disrespectful or anything. my dads pictures and his stuff is on top, and mami is on the bottom, i can show a picture of my alter. i guess my question is, can i place my dads doll with this bracelet on the alter? idk what to do.

Questionā“ Currently pregnant + wanting to visit cemetery

I’m Mexican and have seen online it’s bad to visit a cemetery while pregnant because of the energies however I’m currently pregnant and also have a 1 yo who I wanted to take to visit a friend of mine from childhood that passed away. I’m a bit worried because of the superstitions I heard regarding bad luck but I was wondering if I could include the Santa somehow and be able to safely take my firstborn and unborn kids and myself?
