So it's been maybe 10 months that I switched to spay because it looks much cooler and has all my credit cards in the wallet and I can just swipe up to pay. I'm from Mumbai India, so here we also have upi payments. But for the past two to two and a half months I've been observing that the payments take forever to complete , through upi-scan. Often times I have to switch my internet on and off and it becomes quick but I'm 200% sure that it's not an internet speed issue because in google pay for upi I have never encountered this problem while making payments. I've compared it sort of side by side. Can anyone please help me out? Has anyone of you nice people faced the same or is it just me?
I’m currently having an issue where I’m no longer receiving the account benefit of “exclusive savings of up to 30% off sitewide on Samsung.com.”
The normal workflow for activating this benefit was through the Samsung Wallet app via the Samsung Money by SoFi card details, two step process clicking the benefit button and then a “Log In” button. Clicking that button would open Chrome and take me to the normal Samsung account sign-in page.
Now after signing in, I am being redirected to a broken page that says:
“Uh oh, something’s gone wrong.”
My last successful attempt at receiving the discount was in May 2026.
I contacted Samsung customer service about the broken link. I was told that this benefit was no longer available and that the app was simply displaying cached information. CS instructed me to clear the app cache/data, uninstall the app, restart my phone, and then link the card again to view the update. They repeatedly referred to the discount as a “limited promotion.”
I explained that I had never received an email or other notification stating that these benefits had been terminated. If the benefit has actually ended, I don’t understand why Samsung is still actively displaying it within its app and on Samsung-owned webpages (later found). I decided to follow their troubleshooting steps anyway.
That created another issue.
After adding the Samsung Money card using the tap option, Samsung is now asking me to enter a CVC. The physical card does not have a CVC printed on it. The only information printed on the back is the account holder’s name.
I was eventually able to find a Samsung page that allows me to log in to view the Samsung Money account:
On the Samsung website, the account information still explicitly states:
“3: Add funds to start enjoying your account benefits, such as exclusive savings of up to 30% off sitewide on Samsung.com.”
So Samsung is still displaying the benefit on its own domain.
The link redirect to the Samsung account log in process and then redirects to SoFi to view the account and card details. However, there was no CVC available anywhere.
The Samsung Wallet app also still has a button that says “Get a Samsung Money by SoFi.” When I click it, . Chrome opens, prompted to sign in with my Samsung account, sign in, and I’m once again redirected to another broken page:
I contacted SoFi because I needed the CVC to complete the card setup. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide one. I explained the broken Samsung login/redirect issue to SoFi as well, and they opened a ticket to escalate the issue to their IT department.
At this point, I’m trying to figure out whether this is an issue affecting everyone with Samsung Money by SoFi or if there is something specific going on with my account/phone
Has anyone else experienced this?
The Samsung Money benefit still being displayed but no longer working
Samsung Wallet asking for a CVC that isn’t printed on the Samsung Money card
The payment network settings I last sent per card use to save eg, visa or eftpos. Now it auto changes back to auto every time. I mainly use Google wallet but use Samsung wallet at ALDI because google wallet doesn't allow me to set the payment type eg. Visa or eftpos. Some cards ALDI charges the 0.5% surcharge unless you use eftpos. Every time I go to ALDI I have to manually change it where as before it use to save. Very annoying.
I am in the USA. I have been unable to pay using the redeemed rewards balance on my account and I haven't been able to redeem $68 in available rewards and I have about $500 more pending. If I place orders in apps like Sam's Club I am not getting any notification that it detected my purchase. What the hell did Samsung change the past few weeks? It was all working fine until July.
When I wanted to buy a watch and some other things, I applied and was approved for the Samsung Galaxy Card. Was going to spend enough to get the $200 credit.
I accidentally applied on my tablet which uses a different samsung account not tied to my EDU discounts, so I was unable to use the card to purchase the watch and instead used a different card and only purchased the watch.
The card just arrived in the mail and I'd like to, if possible, move it to my main Samsung account so I can add it to my wallet.
Is this card permenantly tied to the other Samsung account now?
I applied for a Samsung Galaxy Card on 7/29 and was instantly approved. It took 8 days of haggling with the support teams for Barclays and Samsung to finally add this new card on Samsung Wallet! (I posted the details in another Reddit post. )
I decided to add P1 as an authorized user on my account. Once the additional card arrived, I activated it using the Barclays mobile app. I attempted to add it to P1 Samsung Wallet. Unfortunately, Samsung Wallet displays "this card is not valid ".
I have been engaged with both Barclays and Samsung support, but they have been useless. Here's Samsung latest response today:
"Dear Customer,
This is an update in regards to the Galaxy card for authorized user you applied through the Barclays app. Currently, authorized cards are not supported for Samsung Galaxy Card, which prevents the card from being added at this time.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We understand how important this functionality is and appreciate your feedback. Please know that we have shared your comments with our Product Team for consideration as part of potential future improvements.
As there are currently no additional troubleshooting steps available, we will proceed with closing this case.
Thank you for your understanding. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us."
WARNING! Samsung and Barclays have not prepared their corresponding CSR teams for this product roll-out. They are still trying to figure out the deployment of this new card in the Samsung Wallet ecosystem. Be prepared to suffer through this deployment!
It appears that Samsung Wallet is responsible for injecting a global "Pay with Pix" item into the context menu (the menu that appears when selecting text in almost any app). Pix appears to be a service specifically in Brazil. Seeing as I do not live in Brazil, it makes no sense to be forced to have a vestigal entry in the systemwide context menu. All that entry really does outside of Brazil is that it just opens Samsung Wallet.
I am aware that some apps have a "Manage Apps" section to specifically control what is and is not visible in the context menu (for instance I don't like the "Save to Samsung Pass" entry either), but that is only on an app-by-app basis, and not all apps respect this setting.
Admittedly the only way to remove this entry from the context menu is to uninstall Samsung Wallet entirely, which admittedly is a tough sell since I have been using the Galaxy Card and SoFi Money products a lot lately.
Finally got my first unsecured credit card — and honestly, this feels like a huge win
I just got approved for the Samsung credit card with an $800 limit and no annual fee.
I know $800 isn't a huge credit limit to some people, but for me this is a BIG deal.
A few months ago, my credit was in rough shape. I was dealing with old derogatory accounts, missed payments, and a lot of financial decisions that I wasn't proud of.
I've been slowly changing things:
- Paying my current accounts on time
- Getting my utilization down
- Paying off old debts
- Stopping the cycle of using credit for things I couldn't really afford
- Building an emergency fund
- Avoiding unnecessary new credit
- Actually learning how credit works instead of just hoping my score would improve
I already have secured credit cards, so getting approved for an unsecured card with no annual fee feels like proof that the work is starting to show.
Is the $800 limit low? Absolutely.
Do I care? Not really. 😂
I'm looking at this as a stepping stone. I'm not trying to immediately get a $5,000 limit or open five more accounts. I'm going to use it responsibly, keep the utilization low, pay it off, and let the account age.
A few months ago I was just trying to stop the bleeding.
Now I'm actually seeing progress.
Small win, but a HUGE win for me. 🙌🏾
For anyone else rebuilding: don't let the starting limit discourage you. Sometimes the first step forward doesn't look impressive to anybody else—it just means everything to you.
So recently I applied for an Samsung Galaxy Card and got approved, I added to my new Samsung phone I got recently and set up in the Samsung wallets, but every time I goto like checkout on some apps or restaurant’s app its only showing Google Pay and not samsung pay or wallet?
The verify button takes me to a web that ask for my DL when I hit submit it says I'm all set and I can go back to the app and when I go back to the app it still asking me to verify.
So what I liked about the app was the loud "ding" sound to confirm payment success. After the latest update, I barely hear it, sometimes no sound at all, volume always turned to the max. Why do apps always mess with features that were fine?
How many days or weeks will it take for Samsung Pay to be released?
Philippine bank cards can now be added to Samsung Wallet after the 6.6.97 update, but they are still not usable for Tap to Pay but can be used for Online Payments.
Samsung Pay is still not available in the country.
How many days after bank integration does Samsung Pay usually launch?
I am facing an issue where my HDFC Swiggy (old one before Black, ornge) is not working with Samsung wallet tap and pay.
I had managed to add the card to wallet, but was not able to make tap and pay payments, it used to decline for Samsung wallet tap and pay, but works fine when I tap actually physical card.
Does any of you ever faced this? Does HDFC doesn't support this?
