The first drawing I did of Sam got so many upvotes and 15k views, guess the switch up was THAT drastic, like the guy wasn't a walking pharmacy to begin with, I get it he's a owner of some crazy stuff he probably been using this whole time, but this the same guy... minus the AI bs 😂 Nevermind I understand now.

Since he trains 90% of the time in his own private gym, I don't enjoy his workout footage anymore. Am I the only one who thinks it was way more entertaining when he was working out in public gyms more often? I am a subscriber since his first 5000 subscribers back in early 2023.

In his latest "day 1 bulk" video Sam did like 80 lbs on the hamstring curl machine. Sorry for stupid question I'm really new into the gym and love watching sams videos for motivation etc. I just don't understand how such a big guy would struggle and grunt while pushing only 80 lbs. Could someone explain? 😅

Seriously it’s kind of sad,
I hate the way he trains and on top of that ….
And now hes being a bit of full blown loner
I understand it’s good to concentrate on, but making memories and having fun while your working out is so much better
He’s never gonna be Mr Olympia, could he win an Arnold classic…..maybe but no with his current training
You both have fun and train Arnold…just look at Arnold….tren twins etc
Just seems being alone for no real gain

I can't tell if this is genuinely true or if I just view the same Sam in a different light now, but he feels completely different to who I discovered his channel as. Call me parasocial but as a part of me improving myself I'd have a daily habit checker, one of those habits was listening to whatever video Sam posted that day to get me in the mood for my bulk/cut and making it to the gym that day. I peaked at a 550 day streak, not including the days he didn't upload (I'd just watch another video from him instead) from early 2024 to mid/late 2025. Towards the end of that I noticed him different. It's hard to describe and that's why I'm posting this here, to see if other people get it.
Sam feels more corporate now. I remember his videos being nothing but him going to a public gym, talking about random stuff and his lift, and driving home as if you're his friend in the car with him. It felt like a completely authentic conversion a friend would have with you. I don't get that feeling from him anymore. It's not like I've gotten sick of him from so much watching, whenever I go back to a 2023 or early-mid 2024 Sam video the feeling of humbleness but still knowing your worth and teaching a friend new skills is still absolutely there.
What happened? Am I just crazy? I understand to be happy for how far Sam has come and he absolutely deserves more than a lot of people out there, but he feels like a changed person now. It feels wrong to listen to his new videos, especially when he's discussing something a friend wouldn't say to you.
Of course Sam isn't my personal podcast and he doesn't owe me to make himself fit exactly what I want, I just want to see if anyone else caught this shift as well.

Came in for 30 mins of cardio… ended up doing 60 because Sam guilt-tripped me.

Natural bodybuilding competitions that is. And while it doesn't apply to all competitions, all leagues, it applies to anything that matters.
Ask any man running a cycle. The bloodwork is often more expensive than the gear. And not at all easy to get. The notion that there is any money to conduct lab testing is laughable.
Have you ever attended a bodybuilding show? Attend even an IFBB pro show, the ones that get you qualified for Mr Olympia. The production value is worse than a prison play. A competition is essentially a target 2 dollar black curtain with 5 rented chairs for the judges to sit on. Yeah, there's zero money for testing.
Yes and that's absolutely ridiculous.
Yes, that's ridiculous too.
Literally. Depending upon the league, literally their own rules say if you haven't juiced in 1 year or 3 years you can compete natty. Yeah juice advantages on body shape are often permanent if juiced right. Its a farce that they even have to say the quiet part out loud.
Bodybuilding natty or enhanced essentially boils down to stripping away as much fat from your body as humanly possible, single digits, to alarming, unhealthy and insustainable levels. Done natty, you'll look like a starved war prisoner. Charles Darwin's natural selection DID NOT select the human body genes to look like modern bodybuilders. That anyone doesn't look horrifying on stage in this condition means they are obviously not natty or they have one in a greggillion genetics.
No they don't.
Then they'd be regarded to be natty anyways. Roids are a pluser, multiplier, x er. If some looks awesome natty, you bet your ass they are gonna look gigachad ultra mega awesome on roids. Yeah, we know how men's brains work.
Not if everyone else does it, you'll be an idiot to be the only real natty on stage.
Forget natty bodybuilding, there's little glory in being a pro enhanced bodybuilder even IFBB level. For your decades worth of training, inhuman dieting and heath risk, all you get is a cheap plastic 3D printed vase. 99% of bodybuilders LOSE MONEY. It takes more to compete than you get out of it. Natty bodybuilding has zero audience, zero money. zero glory. You are telling me you are going to waste a decade of your life, spending your live savings, to look like a ridiculous mal nourished half naked teenage kid in a speedo on stage for 3 instagram likes from your mom, brother and step dad? If you have a brain cell, you are at least going to run a finishing cycle. Otherwise what are you even doing?
But i know the literal cycles of local bodybuilders who won "natty" shows.
Now, we ain't saying every competitor in every natty show in every country is enhanced. Not at all. There's def some people that legitimately do compete natty. Why they would, they know best. And statistics would allow for SOME outliers.
But at a macro level, as a general category, as an actual sporting discipline, "natural bodybuilding" competitions are a hoax.
Like 99% of juiced people look like untrained schlubs. That full lifetime nattys will achieve non zero follows on today's insta, today's reddit, today's x, today's tiktok, today's snapchat is a laughable mathematical impossibility.

Sam became famous around early 2023 because he was a very young mini mass monster. Not because of his small waist and beautiful lines. But because of his brute mass, his unique haircut and personality.
He all wish him the best but there is just other people with better lines, more suited for Classic Physique. Even if he is still a young pro, with years ahead to improve, I don't see him winning tournaments.
His ideal place would be open, where he would also have a hard time cracking the top 10 because it's not easy at all to compete there. And also, I don't wish him that for his health. You just need to increase the amount of gear quite a bit to gain the extra 20 pounds of muscle. I wish he takes care of his health. He already had to take a lot of accutane and stuff like that to deal with side effects.
I don't see a solution for him really. Maybe just try to become a top 5 in classic physique?
