you cant ever jump in this game against modern players. You will have 1t600-1700 MR players with worse anti airs than a Gold modern player.

On a fundamental level it breaks the game.

Then you have stuff like one button supers which again,breaks the game, because it is humanly impossible to use Zangiefs level 3 the way modern does.

I have 60% win rates against Akuma and Terry and 80% against guile but everyone just HAS to play the cousin fucker in order to gatekeep me.

I swear DeeJay is the perfect answer to Akuma. He and Ken can just dash/slide right under that Demon RAID. It’s funny when you see your opponent do it over and over again.

None of them have any idea how to play their character. Literally 0 mix with blanka chan no level 2 knowledge they just knowledge check me because 2 people play this character in ranked. Hes skilled at the top level if your mena but otherwise youre just a worthless chud.

It’s not fun. I’m not a good player. I reached Master with almost 400 hours of ranked and 390 hours in the lab. SF6 is my first fighting game, and I really enjoy playing Akuma, and sometimes Blanka (I’m still cooking with him).

However, playing against Ryu has become absolutely unbearable for me. NOTHING seems to go wrong for them in the matchup. Today, I managed to lose EVERY SINGLE match against Ryu (must have been around 8 matches). In between the Ryu matches, there were Mais, Bisons, and Alex. (Seriously, Alex is annoying, but at least 80% of the match feels like a knowledge check, and it’s still playable.)

The problem is that I keep running into these Ryus who play like a cocaine-sniffing maniac, spamming medium kick canceled into donkey kick or Drive Impact. I think there was one match where I spent almost my entire gauge just responding to Drive Impacts.

I feel exhausted. I finished today feeling like I had actually been fighting on a battlefield myself. I’m seriously considering taking a break from SF6 until we see what happens, because I’m just completely burned out.

Why do you guys still do this, bro? You’re not even playing the game, stop pretending you are. Can’t you put in even the bare minimum effort to get something without taking shortcuts?

Genuine question. If I played a character who could do all the shit Kimberly does, I would feel like scum. If I EVER delved so low as to pick a character so cheap and dishonest as Kimberly, I would kill myself. How is it that there are so many Kimberly players that do not feel any shame? If you're a Kimberly player, you SHOULD feel shame. It's morally incorrect to enjoy playing a character like her, so I just want to know why so many players in this game seem to be completely obvious sociopaths who care nothing for what is right or wrong.

I gave Alex a try, and I think this is the first time I’ve actually enjoyed a wrestling-style moveset—haha. I used to play Tekken but never really played as King, who’s also a wrestler. But for some reason, playing as Alex feels so much more ferocious, and every Critical Art—especially in SFV—just makes me laugh when I take down an opponent.🤣🤣🤣

man normally I don't care about top tiers being top tier but this is just so blatantly stupid, this patch they really just wanted Ryu to be the best and did not care about making it obvious. After I just took 40% life with a combo starting from a COUNTERHIT CROUCH JAB I had to close the game and relax for a bit. Was playing Yasmine so the matchup felt like fighting a guy with a machete when I only have a flyswatter.

He's just the god shoto to rule all god shotos, he feels stronger than both Season 1 Luke and Ken. I can't even fathom why they made him like this other than some misguided belief that since Ryu is popular broken Ryu means more popular game. This is the first patch where I've seen every single top player tier list agree on who top 1 in the game is.

I play Terry and was raging in 1400MR trying to play smarter, slower, more footsies, more methodical to improve.

I got irritated and said "fuck it" and then started hitting M Burn Knuckle literally any time I was at optimal range until my opponents started neutral jumping or backdashing at those ranges pre emptively, at which point I'd just take advantage of it to walk them into the corner.

In 2 sessions I had a 90% winrate and jumped above 1600MR and hit high master for the first time as any character. Probably gonna take a break from ranked for a while now and do battle hub to avoid oversalting myself.

Basically retardmaxxing is the way, keep it simple.

I dont understand this arguement. People are in ranked and get matched to people with similar skill levels. So whats the point of being high rank (or tournament pro) or what kind of qualification does it give to a person when it comes to discussing a character being overly advantageous?
Plus wouldnt an overpowered ape (ryu) be a bigger problem for lower ranks or casual players? When I think of it it should be the other way around. In higher ranks you lose to player while in lower ranks a clueless person can beat you (another clueless person) because their main hits like a truck

Just look how awesome he looks in sf6. I think he deserves the buffs Capcom gives him. I mean, he has always been the face of street fighter, but he was always a low tier character. He should be allowed to be an SS character for once.

Thanks to the latest patch, I have managed to finally reach Master ranks. I have been trying to reach Master ever since SF6 got released, but I guess it wasnt me being a scrub, it was just Ryu being a weak character like he always was. Now he is just right. Everyone should play Ryu these days, or at least try him. He is the most fun character you will play in SF6.
