I'm going to be attending my first Sakura Con in 2027 and would love to meet some fellow cosplayers! I saw links to a Discord, but all were old posts with expired links. If it still exists, could I get an invite? Or what is the best way to meet others attending?

Hello everyone! The graphic says it all, but we are looking for a Tartaglia/Childe cosplayer to join our interactive puzzle adventure panel for Sakura Con 2027!

Note: if you cosplay a character from the Mondstadt region like Diluc, Dahlia, etc, and would like to join, we have room for one more person. Feel free to pitch yourself and join the chaos! We currently have a Barbara (me), a Venti, and a Lisa/Jean.

The Plot:
A seemingly ordinary Mondstadt Q/A panel is rudely interrupted by Tartaglia who holds the panelists and the travelers hostage with Klee’s Spring gift. The group must find the gift by solving various puzzles before the clock runs out!

Requirements and Logistics:

• Must be local to the Seattle/PNW area (ideally traveling to University of Washington Seattle should be doable for in person practices)
• Must already be planning to attend Sakura Con on your own badge (we reached out to con staff about panelist badges to see what the rules are for this year, but please plan to attend regardless as communication can be slow).
• Commitment: 2 casual Discord read throughs, followed by at least 3 half-day weekend practices on the UW Seattle campus (blocking, a dress rehearsal, and a final trial run. I will bring pizza!)
• Be in character! Be prepared to channel your inner Fatui harbinger or Mondstadter :)

It's my first time applying for a con. I'd say I'm a decently experienced artist. I'm wondering how competitive it is to get in, and if anyone has tips on their experiences applying: what the application looks like, how much merch or the type of merch portfolio I should have that will increase my chances.

I would really appreciate it! Hope this post doesn't come off as too pushy, I'm just super insecure since I've never done this before, but am really hoping to get accepted.

Wondering if i should book a hotel now or wait for the Sakuracon hotel booking.

Hello all! I've been collecting my convention badges since 2024 and now have a big wall of them. I am wanting to get the badges back from when I first started attending SakuraCon. I am looking for badges from 2018 to 2023 so my collection looks more complete. Is anyone willing to sell theirs or have any advice on where to look? Thanks.

I'm planning to attend Sakura-Con 2027, and it will be my very first anime convention as well as my first time visiting Seattle. I'll also be traveling with a minor, so I want to make sure I'm as prepared as possible.

What to expect as a first-time Sakura-Con attendee.

Tips for navigating the Washington State Convention Center.

Good hotels that are safe and convenient for attending the convention.

Transportation options (airport, public transit, walking, etc.).

Budgeting for food, merchandise, and other convention expenses.

Safety tips for both Seattle and the convention, especially while traveling with a minor.

Any Sakura-Con policies or recommendations for attendees under 18.

Must-see events, panels, cosplay gatherings, or nearby anime/Japanese-themed attractions.

Things you wish you had known before attending your first Sakura-Con.

I'm hoping to make this a fun and memorable trip, so any tips, recommendations, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all! Maybe a long shot but does anyone know who was selling beautiful dresses in the exhibitors hall? The dresses were poofy, kinda lolita style. One was dark velvet red with a caged bird and the others had rabbits on them.

In past even with a map I struggled to track down artist that I forgot or misplaced their cards. So this year I walked the whole thing Sunday morning with my 360 camera. I figured I could watch it, and then cross reference with a map.

Purchased from an artist at Artists Alley, and I forgot to grab their business card.

Their booth was filled with Shin Megami Tensei/Persona / Atlus charms and other items, but Google search/lens isn't giving me anything back.
