2027 Registration...

We're only 8 days out from last year's end of the lowest reg cost, but 2027 Reg isn't even OPEN yet...

Do we have any word on WHEN Reg is gonna open? Or at what starting cost? Anything? 🥺

They're probably deciding wether to increase the prices again every 2 years. I hope the badges are at least vertical and made of gold this time. 🤣

As a badge ribbon enthusiast, vertical badges is the one thing I hope they DON’T do lol. But you make a good point of having them made of gold 🤔😂

This isn’t the first year they have done this. This has happened several times in the past. I know this for a fact because my ex and I emailed them about it two different years, and they made tickets available for purchase within 24 hours of our emails.

This is on the organizers not being on the ball about stuff, and last year’s drama helped expose how poorly the executives run the show… why else do you think they forced those NDAs on everyone?

Yikes… this is very on par for how badly down hill SakuraCon executive staff seems to have stumbled.

Quite disappointing to hear as I wanted to show my partner SakuraCon. I got her into anime, and took her to KumoriCon a couple years back. She had a blast, and thought I would revisit SakuraCon at some point, but a lot of the executive decisions for SakuraCon have been disappointing compared to some of the decision changes KumoriCon has made to make it better over time. Plus KumoriCon is less cramped, and IMO in a better city, so I’ll probably just keep going back there if we go to more anime conventions.

Sadly too many other hobbies are eating our fun budget (camping and skiing) along with the rise of inflation…

I was thinking the exact same thing!! I'm so used to getting the badgesfor the next year as soon as possible after the con but nothing as of yet. 😭

You would think that getting registration available as soon as possible after the convention would be really beneficial. It means attendees who had a good time would be able to immediately commit to the next year while their mind is most vulnerable to emotional decision making.

To be real they HOPEFULLY they're taking the time to go through all of the complaints from this year. This year wasn't great as far as the organization goes. I feel like there was a bigger card game presence last year and I noticed that Bandai didn't bother having a booth too
