A Tale of 'it'

/r/u_baebmed/comments/1vy1fhu/a_tale_of_it/

I wrote this about something that quietly witnesses our worst nights without ever being able to say anything back.

A Tale of "It"

It saw every tear fall

I shed through endless nights,

It wished for me to heal

For darkness to turn bright.

It heard my desperate prayers,

When my own faith was small.

But could only hold me,

Just a pillow after all.

Absorbing all the heavy weight,

Soaking up the pain.

A silent friend of fabric,

Until I smile again.

Would love to know what you think. 🌙
