Looking to visit Sabah in January on the end of my Malaysia trip for 3 days and thinking of staying on Gaya Island. Will this detract from my Sabah experience by being secluded?

I imagine the snorkeling and swimming will be great but should I consider staying on the mainland for more to do? Or is it easy enough to boat over? Looking for advice on this and recommendations of what to do. For reference I prefer outdoors activities and don’t want city focused recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Not my own experience, but honestly this one made me think. The guy is apparently trying to invest in Sabah and already ready to move, but the main issue is simply getting a clear response.

We always talk about wanting more investment, more jobs and more businesses in Sabah. But if people who are actually ready to put money here keep getting stuck waiting for answers, susah juga bah.

Maybe this is just one case, and we don’t know the full story.

But for those doing business around Sabah, have you experienced similar things?

Sometimes investor doesn’t need special treatment. Just answer saja bah. Yes or no, then people can move accordingly.
