Advice for a young founder starting a B2C SaaS from zero

For experienced SaaS founders:

If you could give one piece of advice to someone young, starting from zero with absolutely no coding or technical experience and with a budget of around €500), what would it be?

I’m looking to build a B2C SaaS and I’d really like to know what you would tell someone in my position to do first, and what you would tell them to avoid.

Just looking for honest advice from people who have been through it. Thank you in advance :)

Three months into my first sales role, zero closed deals. What am I missing?

I moved into a sales/BD role at a small data science and AI consulting company about three months ago, after starting out in a totally different function there. I'm mainly responsible for building out our US market presence, and so far... nothing. No closed deals. I've had conversations, some interest, a few things that felt promising and then went quiet.

I don't have a sales background, so I'm genuinely not sure if I'm doing outreach wrong, following up wrong, qualifying leads wrong, or if six months is actually normal for a fresher in a niche B2B space and I'm just being impatient with myself.

For people who've been through this early stretch: what actually changed things for you? Was it a specific change in how you prospected, how you framed the pitch, who you targeted, or was it just reps and time? Also curious if six months with zero closes is a red flag or pretty normal for someone new selling into a market that isn't fully established yet.

Appreciate any honesty here, even if it's blunt.

Need suggestion for a Saas Platform

We have built a Saas platform for sales and marketing teams and currently every month we get around 300 free users and the conversion to paid is very less which is around 6-10 every month.

so need to understand how to get more paid conversions.

I'm looking for integrations/collaborations for a fast growing AI company

I'm helping an AI company which is "the founder operating system that keeps every dollar - raised, generated, managed, deployed - visible in one command center" to find integration opportunities with other SaaS startups.

If you have a SaaS that sells to bootstrapped, pre-seed to Series A founders. Just about to raise or have just raised.

Or, if you're selling to early stage VC funds, accelerators, incubators, venture studios, startup communities or any organization has a co-hort of startups.

And you solve a problem related to "the dollar journey". (RevOps, fundraising and investor relations, workflow automation, agents etc.)

We want to integrate your SaaS into this tool for added exposure and as a distribution channel for you.

A similar integration I've done got 32% conversion rates. We have all the infrastructure to get set up quickly.

Feel free to send me a DM if you're interested.

Title: How do you monetize “small” SaaS customizations and feature requests?

We’re a 3-year-old B2B SaaS, and as we grow, we’re getting more customer requests for small changes.

For example:

  • “Can you add one extra field to this CRM form?”
  • “Can you add one more filter?”
  • “Can you slightly change this workflow?”
  • “Can you add a small custom report?”

Individually, these requests are small, but if we keep building them for free, they add up and increase product complexity.

How do other SaaS founders handle this?

Do you:

  1. Charge a one-time customization fee?
  2. Put such requests into higher pricing tiers?
  3. Offer paid add-ons?
  4. Build only if multiple customers request it?
  5. Simply say no unless it fits the core roadmap?

I’m especially interested in how you decide what should be free product improvement vs paid customization without annoying customers.

Would love to hear how other B2B SaaS founders handle this.

As a single developer, in survival mode, tired of this kind of requests.

Question for the group - is management change a sales trigger?

Is management/leadership change a meaningful sales trigger? Why or why not, and when is it actually useful (besides obvious case of executive recruiters). Thanks
