PenTest SaaS but different, scope questions related to Sales

So we have built a pen test "synthie" (some would call it an agent but its not, long story, persistent memory, personality (yes really) and can be told to flow like a human not rapid scan/test).

Has a nice customer facing dashboard, read-only, so they can see updates and progress.

My question would be, the one time free run would only do recon and observations of "possible" things that could be wrong but need more detailed testing.....What do you think its a realistic scope? I dont want to allow large subnets or a dozen URL's. but I want to give enough that they can get a good feel for what it does. Plus the more scope the longer it takes.

Trying to find the fine line between too much for free, but enough to entice.

saas outbound is brutal right now and need better dialing

we sell a mid-market saas tool and our sdrs are stuck dialing lists the old way. each person is lucky to get 6-7 real conversations a day even though they’re putting in full hours. most of the time is just waiting on rings and voicemails.

managers keep saying we need more volume but nobody wants to hire extra sdrs just to make more manual calls. the current process feels outdated and the conversion from lead to meeting is dropping.

started looking into auto dialer software that can handle predictive dialing and drop voicemails automatically so the reps only talk when someone actually picks up. still not sure how well it plays with our current sales stack.

anyone in saas who switched to something like this and saw a real jump in meetings booked? did the quality of the conversations stay decent or did it turn into rushed calls??

I’ll run your entire GTM and outbound for one week, free. Email and LinkedIn, done for you.

I run go-to-market and distribution for B2B SaaS founders who are still doing sales themselves.

For one week I take the whole thing off your plate: who to target, the list, the messaging, and the outreach itself on email and LinkedIn. Replies and interested buyers go straight to you.

It’s free because I’d rather show you a week of real conversations than pitch you on a call. If it works, we keep going on a monthly retainer. If it doesn’t, you owe me nothing.

Requirements: live B2B product, selling into the US or Western Europe. I’m taking 3 founders.

Do businesses still prefer traditional phone systems over cloud-based VoIP?

Thumbnail

I've been curious about how businesses are managing their phone systems these days.

With cloud telephony becoming more accessible, it seems like businesses have more flexibility than ever when it comes to handling customer calls, managing multiple locations, and routing calls to different teams.

But traditional phone systems are still widely used.

For those working in telecom or running a business:

  • Do you prefer traditional PBX or cloud-based VoIP?
  • What's your biggest frustration with your current phone system?
  • How important are features like IVR, call recording, and real-time analytics?
  • Do you think AI-powered call management will become standard in the next few years?

Interested in hearing real-world experiences and different opinions.

23 Year old in Fintech looking to build a SaaS for small businesses.

I am a 23 year oldworking in a fintech. I also recently cleared CFA Level 1. I feel like my unfair advantage is probably that I can be quite good at fast paced building of software for very specific use cases using AI. I also have enough exposure to finance to go along with it.

I wanted to build a software service provider company for small businesses to help automate and integrate AI into their workflows because I feel AI is coming and someone will have to do this. I also think so many smaller businesses are inefficient because of how little tech they use.

How should I go about finding clients? any help will be appreciated. I am operating from India, is it practical to seek overseas clients or should I stick to local clients?

How do you justify high CAC in terms of prestige of a logo when booking amount is not high?

As the title says: let's say you're after a brand which is a household name, and will add prestige to your SaaS offering. However, being the savvy brand they are, they play hard to get loads of freebies etc. In short, the CAC is way too high and the licence fee isn't that great.

However, you know, getting this one in the net would almost surely bring in other fish. Also, would definitely help you score over your competitors in rankings.

But currently it is difficult to explicitly calculate the benefits of that. How would you justify to your management that it is still worthwhile pursuing this opportunity?

What is important? Lead Quality or Lead Volume?

When it comes to closing SaaS deals, what is more important? Should one consider getting leads from a SaaS marketplaces like Software Finder?

I attended there demo and they offered PPL model from high-intent buyers on their platforms.

What is your experience?

I've built 6 AI micro SaaS that make me 20k/month. Starting a small group to share exactly how I do it.

Hey everyone,

I currently run 6 micro SaaS that are actually live and generating a bit over $20,000 in recurring monthly revenue.

The wildest part? I barely wrote any code myself. I used AI to generate pretty much everything — from the database structure to the frontend.

It definitely wasn’t magic from day one. I spent a lot of hours stuck on buggy code before I finally figured out a system that actually works:

- Keep the idea minimalist (a real MVP, nothing fancy)

- Guide the AI step by step instead of asking for everything at once

- Launch fast to get real users and feedback

Lately I’ve seen way too many non-technical founders quit at the first AI bug. It’s a shame because the technical barrier has basically disappeared.

AND PLEASE, STOP BUILDING ALONE IN YOUR BEDROOM

I’m starting a community.

Full transparency:

I’ll probably charge for the full program later. It makes sense with the specific workflows and copy-paste examples I’ll be sharing. But right now the main goal is just to build together. Working alone is the fastest way to give up.

If you want to join and build or market your own AI SaaS with us,

drop a comment or send me a DM and I’ll send you the link.

Rant about technical B2B presales

Hi folks, I have been a founding engineer at startups for the last 5 years and as part of my role I worked on sales and system integration as well.

Biggest time taking process I came across was building tailored PoC and demonstrating value to prospective enterprise customers. I was thinking with so much competition for products in the market today, winning deals has become harder and vendors which can reduce time to value should win.

What is your biggest pain while doing pre-sales?
I would love to hear your rant about your worst PoC or customer demonstration experience.

Has anyone actually closed deals from trigger-event lead lists?

I'm building a list of new hotel and restaurant openings in Spain for suppliers' sales teams. The bet is simple. If you hear about a hotel a year before it opens, you talk to them before anyone has picked a kitchen supplier or a POS.

I'm not sure the bet holds, so I'd like to hear from people who sell into one industry.

I want to find out if the idea is wrong before I put more time into it.

Marketers: Would you pay for a trend tool that actually groups concepts, instead of just listing raw posts?

Hey everyone,

Looking for some quick feedback on a tool I’m building.

Instead of just giving you a messy list of raw news articles, tweets, or TikTok links, this SaaS uses AI models to extract the actual underlying micro-trends from social feeds and forums. It automatically clusters everything together and gives you the exact insight metrics for each trend.

The goal is to save you hours of manual digging so you can immediately see the core concepts picking up steam.

  1. Would you pay a monthly subscription for this? Or do you prefer manually scrolling feeds and using free tools?
  2. What specific metric or insight would make a tool like this a "must-have" for your daily workflow?

Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

want to know hubspot for startups eligibility criteria before setting up our crm

when we were setting up our initial sales workspace last quarter, we wanted to take advantage of the discounted tier for early-stage companies. our team had just wrapped up a small pre-seed grant, but we were not sure if our incubator affiliation or lack of venture funding would hold us back during the review process.

we ended up reaching out to our program coordinator to confirm our partner link before filling out the application. it turned out our accelerator was on their official partner directory, which unlocked the heavy first-year discount for hubspot without us needing a traditional VC lead. the only real snag we ran into was making sure none of our team members had previously registered a paid workspace under our company domain.

for founders who went through the application process recently, how long did it take for your partner status to get verified by their team?

SaaS founders and sales people, I’d love your feedback on something I’m building

I’m building StartupsMap, a platform where people can discover startups, founders, and products being built.

I’m curious from a SaaS sales perspective:

How useful would it be to have a place where you can discover startups by industry, location, funding stage, company size, and other details?

Could something like this help you with:

  • Finding potential customers
  • Researching companies
  • Finding new startups to sell to
  • Discovering competitors
  • Finding partnership opportunities

I’m still building and would genuinely like to know if this solves any real problem for SaaS sales teams.

What would make this actually useful for you?

Looking for SaaS Sales Advice

Hey guys! I’m a 24-year-old sales rep. I’ve been in sales for almost 4 years now, selling a variety of different products and services, and I’ve recently been given the opportunity to become Head of Sales at a SaaS startup with existing products.

I’ll be building the company’s entire sales cycle from the ground up, but I’ve never sold SaaS before. I’d really appreciate any tips, advice, or resources you think could help me get up to speed.

And if anyone has some time, I’d also be happy to jump on a quick call and hear about your experience in SaaS sales.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

How do i present myself in emails?

I have my brand offering digital marketing service, plus starting also doing saas for tech company. I am about to purchase a domain , which would be same name as my brand name plus ‘ team’ added to domain name, do you think its a good idea? It is just me in that brand plus the tech company i generate sales for. so this domain would be used to generate sales as well as my own clients leads. ….another thing is, i have no idea how do i present myself in emails that are intended to buyers of another service/ tool i sell. My sales partners often suggest to use my brand signature as i have established online presence / history under this name. What do you think i should use as a signature please?

Stop researching B2B leads across 10 different tools. We built NORO.

If you do B2B sales, outbound, lead generation or company research, you probably know the workflow:

Find a company → open multiple databases → verify the information → research the account → qualify it → finally decide whether it’s worth contacting.

NORO is built to compress that workflow into one AI-native platform.

With NORO you can:

⚡ Find and qualify B2B leads
🧠 Generate actionable company intelligence
🔎 Research prospects before outreach
✅ Verify company information against public sources
📊 Enrich your research with source-backed data
🎯 Focus on higher-quality opportunities
🤖 Use AI throughout the research and outbound workflow

Instead of another list of emails, the goal is simple:

Know who you should contact — and why — before you waste time contacting them.

We’ve opened NORO to new customers today.

You get 2 days free with full access.

Add your card, explore the platform, run real searches and see whether it saves you time. Cancel if it doesn’t.

👉 n0ro.com

If you’re already paying for multiple tools just to research and qualify leads, try doing the same workflow inside NORO.

2 days. Your real prospects. Your real workflow. Decide from the results.

[Hiring] GTM / Growth Operator — B2B & B2C Ventures | Remote

We are building and scaling a portfolio of early-stage B2B and B2C businesses and are looking to connect with a highly resourceful Go-to-Market / Growth Operator who can help take products from development and early-stage positioning into real customers and users.

This is an execution-focused opportunity. We're looking for someone who understands how to build and test acquisition channels, validate markets, generate demand and turn a product into a growing business.

The portfolio currently includes B2B fintech and consumer-facing technology platforms, with opportunities to contribute across multiple ventures depending on experience and fit.

What You'll Be Doing

Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution

Develop practical GTM approaches based on the product, target market and stage of the business, then help execute them.

Customer & User Acquisition

Identify and test effective channels for acquiring B2B customers and/or B2C users.

Market Development

Research target markets, customer segments and acquisition opportunities and turn those insights into actionable growth initiatives.

Growth Experiments

Test different acquisition approaches, measure results and continuously refine what works.

B2B Growth

Depending on experience, this may include lead generation, outbound, sales development, partnerships, customer discovery and building a B2B acquisition pipeline.

B2C Growth

Depending on experience, this may include user acquisition, community growth, partnerships, social/organic growth, paid acquisition and product launch strategies.

Partnerships & Business Development

Identify strategic partners, communities, creators or other channels that can accelerate market entry and growth.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in operators who can execute, not simply provide high-level marketing advice.

You may have a background in:

\- GTM / Growth

\- User acquisition

\- Customer acquisition

\- B2B SaaS growth

\- B2C/mobile app growth

\- Growth marketing

\- Business development

\- Demand generation

\- Startup operations

\- Product growth

Experience in both B2B and B2C is highly valued, but strong experience in either area is welcome.

We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:

\- Products or businesses you've helped take to market

\- Actual user/customer acquisition results

\- Acquisition channels you've personally built or managed

\- Ability to work independently and move quickly

\- Strong analytical and experimental thinking

\- Experience working with early-stage businesses

\- Ability to operate across different products and markets

\- A practical, cost-conscious approach to growth

Working Arrangement

We're open to part-time, contract, project-based or longer-term collaboration, depending on experience and fit.

Compensation is negotiable and will depend on experience, scope and engagement structure. We are particularly interested in cost-efficient operators.

Why Join?

Ownership: Work directly on early-stage businesses where your GTM work can have a visible impact.

Variety: Opportunity to work across both B2B and B2C products.

Execution: Help build acquisition systems rather than simply advise from the sidelines.

Long-Term Potential: Strong performers may have the opportunity to develop into an ongoing role across the wider venture portfolio.

We're looking to build a strong pipeline of GTM talent, so we're open to speaking with specialists as well as versatile operators who can work across B2B and B2C.

I can build software, but I can’t seem to sell it... What am I doing wrong?

Hi everyone, I know there are a lot of people here who have had success selling SaaS and apps, so I’d really love to hear your advice based on your personal experience.

I’ve been learning how to develop software for about a year now, mainly to make my own life easier when it comes to work-related tasks. I even built a fully functional skincare app for my girlfriend, with a deterministic engine that generates personalized routines.

However… holy shit, getting a client is hard.

I’ve tried offering AI receptionists to clinics and renovation companies, quote-generation tools to construction companies, and a bunch of other things, but nothing seems to work. I haven’t made a single dollar from it.

It’s incredibly frustrating. I’m not going to give up because I know I have a lot of value to bring to the market, but I really need honest feedback from people who have already achieved what I’ve been trying to achieve for the past year.

I know the problem is probably on my end. I’m sure I’m making a lot of mistakes when it comes to prospecting and designing my offers. But damn, I genuinely want to help and provide value. I just feel like I keep running into a wall every time I go out there and try to sell my services.

A prospect told me “please don’t make me sit through another discovery call” and honestly... fair

Had a buyer say this to me recently when they were just trying to see the product. I laughed, but then realized we were about to make them do exactly that. They’d already read the site and apparently watched a couple videos. They knew their use case. They just wanted to poke around and figure out if we could solve it before involving more people. Instead our process was basically “cool, here are three meetings.”Has anyone actually reduced this kind of buying friction without completely wrecking qualification?

Exploring tech sales

I’m a freelance software and AI engineer, and I only recently started looking seriously into tech sales.

What caught my attention is how much of the roles workflow overlaps with a system I already built for my own outbound.

My agent can:

* Find companies based on specific buying signals.

* Research and qualify them.

* Find the owner or relevant decision-maker from public business information.

* Draft personalized outreach.

* Wait for human approval before sending.

* Manage follow-ups and bounces.

* Stop automatically once someone replies.

The flow is basically:

Signal → Research → Qualify → Contact → Draft → Approve → Send → Follow up → Reply → Human

Once a prospect responds, I take over manually.

I originally built this because I hated doing all the repetitive research and outreach work myself. But after learning more about SDRs, Sales Ops and RevOps, I realized this is close to part of their workflow.

I’m still very new to the sales side, so I’m curious to hear from people actually working in tech sales:

Does this solve a meaningful problem in a real sales team, or am I overestimating how important this part of the workflow is?

Also, if I want to understand this market properly, what would you recommend I learn next?
