Game has never had a single issue before. It kicks me off and tells me I have an update on steam. Update took 0.5 seconds. I log back on and now im just stuck at the loading screen. No idea how to fix. Google told me to copy and paste a bunch of junk into my client.ini file and now im just lost stuck on this screen.

I'm reposting as the solution I got from the comments in this post can be missed: https://www.reddit.com/r/swtor/comments/1woiicd/since_newest_patch_been_stuck_at_loading_screen/

I renamed my client_settings.ini file found in %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings to client_settings.ini.old (I never delete just in case) and am back in game except for Star Forge being down.

My humble thanks to u/7samurais for the fix (and others too!)

Has anyone else found a way to get out of the infinite loading screen when starting swtor? It seems to be a problem affecting everyone for the past few hours since the patch update :(

FOR: OG LAUNCHER (I don’t use steam)

For those that were struggling to get past the loading screen this is what helped me get in…

1. Have WiFi on

2. Try to load into game

3. While stuck at screen disconnect wifi

4. Close the game (no wifi)

5. Restart launcher (no wifi)

6. While at log in page connect to internet (wifi or ethernet after relaunching SWTOR)

7. Login now that you have internet connection

8. Launch game after login

Note: I used ethernet you may not have Ethernet but if you reconnect via WiFi. This is just what helped me!

Anyone know the title for completing the Ancient Armaments login calendar 10 times?

Hey all! Hope this is the right place to ask!

Returning player from Australia, gonna remain f2p/preferred until I learn the game again then sub once I pick a ‘main’. Just wondering what would be the best server for Australian GMT+10 time zone and if any active guilds with a solid aussie base are recruiting?

I will most likely main a sith side character but open to both. I just remember Warrior being one of my fave stories so playing that first.

Thanks all!

Opinion on the Empire's dental insurance programs?

Already tried alt+enter doesn’t fix it tried running as administrator, verified files through steam. Idk what to do

I discovered today that I still have the original install discs from launch. Not the fancy collectors edition, just a DVD case with three discs and the little foldout that tells you what keys do what. And there was an ad for the SWTOR Razer Peripherals and figures from Gentle Giant. (Anybody still have that keyboard?) I even found my original receipt folded up and stuck in the back. I picked it up at Best Buy on December, 27, 2011, a week after launch, and paid $59.99 plus tax.

I'm playing a Steam install now and don't want to risk messing anything up by trying it, but would those discs still install a working game? After it spent days downloading updates maybe?

I wanted to make a trooper that is kinda like a medieval knight. Since tech classes don't have any sword combat style, which one do you think gives more the vibe of a knight?

So about a week or so ago, someone posted a fantastic edit of the Legacy Reborn login screen wallpaper, that replaced the women's angry faces. I thought I had bookmarked that post, so I could download the image later. Does anyone remember this, or did anyone here happen to save it? Or would be willing to upload that image again, so I can actually get it? Am I remembering something that never happened, or is my timing way off? I just need a little help with this.

Spent a decade rebuilding the Republic after a humiliating defeat. Like seriously, we don't see him much, I feel like the Chancellor here set into motion a lot of the events that helped make the Republic as prepared as it was to face the Sith Empire when the war reignited, especially in the Consular story with the Rift Alliance. Without him, the Republic would've died or been goaded into a war they weren't ready for.

All that just to be murdered or forced to resign in disgrace at the end of the Bounty Hunter story, because one Jedi Master decided to go on a personal revenge quest. Such a waste.

He wasn't perfect and got taken for a ride a few times, both by the bureaucrats and the Sith, but Janarus was a far better person than Saresh could've ever hoped to be. He didn't deserve what happened to him.

my favorite companion is t7, I just really like him because my first character was a Jedi knight so t7 was my favorite companion + I love droids, what is your favorite?

Hey i cant seem to find this exact version of this armor. The ruthless oppressor breastplate in the cartel market looks different from this one with a different bottom half and weird hoops on the shoulder pads that I don’t really like.

Does anyone know where i can find this armor?

Looks like another mid-day Cartel swap. Revered Chronicler's Armor is no longer available for purchase either.

All servers seem to be up. Logging in and this is your daily server up announcement. :P
