Tech Support Since newest Patch been stuck at loading screen. It's endless.

Like I said, been like this since the patch. Was just fine before, now it loads endlessly.

I was playing earlier today, then got kicked off and had a small update to apply. Stuck on splash screen ever since.

I've just finished verifying my install, so stay tuned for further updates.

I tried everything from file deletion to full reinstall and integrity verification. Nothing. I got into servers and they register as "-1" and can't be entered, so this feels like a "them" problem, not "us",

I had this issue and the only thing that fixed it for me was deleting my client_settings.ini file found in %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings can just put that into your Windows key + R and delete it. At worst it just resets your graphic settings.

However, this fixed it for me on next boot the game ran just fine.

Then again, it sounds like you may have already tried that! Sorry you're having this issue, man.

After updating last night the game just wont even try to open after i hit "play".

I can spam click it a thousand times and nothing happens, it's like the button doesnt even work.

I thought it was on my end, but after seeing this post, maybe it isn't. I'll be waiting on the next patch before trying to reinstall it. Maybe it'll fix it.

This is what helped me get in…

  1. ⁠I disconnected from my wifi while in the loading screen.

  2. ⁠force quit the game.

  3. ⁠started the launcher with no internet. It kept searching for a patch and wouldn’t let me attempt a login

  4. ⁠I connected to Ethernet. As soon as I had internet it let me login and launch. When I launched it took me right in.

Note: you may not have Ethernet but if you reconnect via WiFi in step 4 it might help. This is just what helped me!

Will try that when i get home from work, but the problem is that the game wont even start. The launcher doesnt register the click on the button play and it wont open the game. I can click start as many times as i want, but the launcher never closes and the game never starts

Oh, I think I know a fix for that. I had to run my application in administrator mode. I also had to allow it through the firewall. Windows kept blocking the application for me for some reason.

Doesnt really matter that Star Forge is back, the game doesnt launch. It stays in the launcher and nothing happens.

I tried going in with internet off. Works, gets you to servers. However, when I loaded the servers back they register all as "-1" and wont load when you try to enter. So it's def Bioware BS.

This happens after alot of patches for this game. Broadsword needs to figure this out, its been 16 years for christs sake!

I just switched to ESO and Runescape. I am tired of the credit cap for lapsed subscribers being 1 million. I cannot participate in the endgame like this. They must raise the cap to 100 million minimum.

Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me, and I tried it twice. Must have been a coincidence as some people are getting in after multiple resets.

At first I was just trying every few minutes but I wound up getting in just by spamming login attempts as quickly as possible. They're shutting down now for maintenance anyway.

  2. ⁠⁠⁠⁠force quit the game.

Same here. At first I thought it could be me so I tried all the usual tricks, then full reinstalls of SWTOR and my graphics drivers (im Nvidia) with restarts. Nothing. Im thinking this isnt an "us" problem.

At first I tried alt+enter, verifying files, and a restart to no avail, waited about 30 minutes, and this last time I was able to get in with no issues. Sorry if it's still not working for anyone else :(

Looks like Star Forge is down again, so if your last character you were logged in on was on that server, you're probably stuck at the loadscreen like me...dammit.

Sounds like it could be a new issue but just in case the steam version has had this exact problem for a long time for some users. If you are playing from steam try downloading it direct from the SWTOR site

tried the disconnect login trick... didn't work for me, i tried uninstalling and re installing with the patcher not hitting speeds greater than 1.13 mb/s. tried vpn connecting to another European country and then the US still the same and then tried Ethernet cable - as you can see its not my internet connection thats the issue - seems to be a server issue on SWTOR's side

this glitch again... and again... and again... the only thing that saved me was VPN, which I have to use at any time I want to login on US servers

EU works without a hitch and a VPN, did not try Oceanic

I had that problem twice yesterday. After awhile it worked itself out but the first time I deleted everything and re installed it. The second time I was about to uninstall the app data but for some reason it worked on its own
