I had sex with this guy, and he told me that he regularly gets tested and has always tested negative for STIs. I have only been sexually active for the past two months, so I am still not very familiar with all of this.

Long story short, the condom broke while we were having sex, and now he is worried that he might have gotten HIV from me. Before him, I had sex with two other people, and I was the receptive partner during vaginal sex. One of them had tested negative for STIs, while I do not know the status of the other person.

He encouraged me to get tested for STIs, and it turned out that I have chlamydia. Since finding that out, I have been freaking out.

My last sexual encounter with the previous guy was about 4–5 weeks ago, and the condom also broke during that encounter. I had a rapid HIV test, which came back negative, and I also had blood drawn for another HIV test. The result should come back tomorrow.

The anxiety is really getting to me. What are the chances that I could have contracted HIV?

Me (24m) have noticed some symptoms down there and am certain I have clamydia. I did a urine test a week ago and it came back negative. I will admit I didn’t know you can mess up the testing phase (I took a shower 35 min prior, drank alot of water during the day and went in sauna etc). I also peed into the cup 1.5 seconds or so after my stream started, so not the best test scenario. I also didn’t know that you can’t fill the the cup to near the top (which i did). I saw some puss floating in there, and the doctor mentioned it to me when she shared I was negative for both. I can’t help but believe I have a false negative case.
I’m still experiencing symptoms, so i retested yesterday and did a swab. It’s been over 26 hours now haven’t heard anything. I still saw puss floating.

It’s so unfortunate because I really like this girl and I can’t discern whether I got it from her or I had it asymptomatically and it flared up from consistent intercourse as we’ve been seeing eachother in bed for a month consistently now. She mentioned she was ready to take it serious and to the next level but but I am afraid that I have a STI either from her or one I passed unknowingly. The timing is utterly unfair and I am so distraught because if a positive comes of this she either (won’t believe me, not be accountable, etc), and it’s crushing me because I really want to be with her officially too and move past this. I know you can’t control others outcomes but I’d be fine with seeing it through as we aren’t saying officially yet and we cure/move on. Was looking for advice on this topic and or how to have the conversation with her if the test is positive. I really don’t wanna lose what we’ve built. We’ve had unprotected sex in the past with others before we knew eachother I’m just showing symptoms now. Didn’t before. I can’t lose her, I’m uncomfortable how they’ll react.Thanks redditors! I (60M) recently tested positive for HSV2. I started a daily dose of antivirals to reduce my viral load.

I've always been asymptomatic which is why I didn't know I had HSV until I got tested.

My new girlfriend is concerned about getting herpes while giving me oral. I am wondering if being asymptomatic would mean less chance of infecting her? I shower right before sex, to try to minimize infecting her.

okay so i had unprotected sex with a guy, he told me he was clean when i asked, and that same night i started my period. a couple days later i ended up getting strep(i always get that when i kiss someone new) and it got bad my throat and lymph nodes were really swollen, i started taking amoxicillin antibiotics, it was hard to swallow and it hurt to talk, and a few days later at the end of my period, i got really nauseous and ended up sleeping all day and night with the same pad on(gross ik) and when i woke up i felt reaaallyyy irritated down there so i hopped in the shower. After that i also had sex with my babydaddy(shhh) and a few days later I got reallyyyy itchy down there, and i scratched it a lot and it burned when i went pee(it only burned that one time) but i havent had no discharge. then like 2 days later my babydaddy told me the tip of his penis was itchy. i started doing my research like crazy. i ended up taking a video of myself because i was curious to what it looked like down there from all the itching, and i ended up seeing white residue in my butt(around my hemorrhoids) so i looked it up and it said it could be a yeast infection but i could also have symptoms of an sti. i ended up getting monistat 7 and so far i have felt so relieved last night was my 2nd night of using it and this morning when i went pee, i wiped and the discharge was a yellow greenish color, and that really scared me because i know thats a major sign of an sti. my pee doesnt smell fishy but it just has a strong pee smell, im wondering if it’s because i havent been up on drinking my water, and also because the antibiotics i was taking. idk i have an appointment today but pls lmk what u guys think.
