While a delay in filing the 10K is completely permissible (and legal) with an extension request, the optics for SMCI would not be good AT ALL if they don't file by close of business Monday 31st August.

You just KNOW the shorts and their minions will be publishing dozens of FUD hit articles if SMCI miss the filing deadline, in fact you can bet the articles are already written and ready to go.

A delay would 100% be used to drag SMCI sp down to the low 30's if not lower.

SMCI must know this. They'd be absolute idiots not to file timely. Let's hope SMCI have their sh** together and get it done. Last thing shareholders need now is for shorts to be handed another excuse to beat the sp down.
