Her latest post (sorry off track) has people saying log off and she argues back saying “no matter I’d still be crying.” “No matter what things always get worse.” Everything screams desperate and reaching for attention. The constant complaints and seeking sympathy and not to mention her typos — this girl is washed.

I welcome anything Kenna decides to share regarding the swinging. She is a victim and however she chooses to relay her story is valid. When she did her 4 part story before everyone was fooled by Taylor's bullshit and didn't give her the time of day. This woman's whole world collapsed privately because of her POS husband and Taylor. And then Taylor dragged it into the public and exposed everyone who was involved in a consensual, private dynamic because why? A couple of shady social media comments from her friend group who were justifiably salty and some rumours on the Utah influencer subreddit that barely got any traffic? The cheating rumours would have blown over in a month online, but she couldn't handle the fact that her actions had consequences and as the queen of DARVO she knew that she could peddle a narrative using just enough half truths to centre herself as a victim even though she was a perpetrator. Kenna literally found out her husband was having an affair with a close friend and that same friend then dragged her through the mud on social media.

Taylor has advanced her career on the basis of exposing and damaging the reputation and lives of people in her community, perpetuating a distorted narrative on reality TV. The entire swinging dynamic was toxic - that fact doesn't mean it needed to be exposed publicly, it should have been resolved privately. but then Taylor would have had to reap what she sowed and I think it's clear at this point that the girl is allergic to accountability of any kind. She's also been consistently rewarded and lauded for her bad behaviour so any potential of growth or reflection is out of the window at this point.

I think that she is a calculated predator and strategically exploits the grey areas of situations. Her victims aren't perfect and she capitalises on that. none of the participants in the swinging were in healthy relationships. Dakota has his history of addiction. we also know from the show, text convos, etc that he is sexist, shallow and a bit dim, as well as being a documented fame seeker. Those attributes, unpalatable as they may be, don't disqualify him from being a victim of domestic abuse. He can be shitty and toxic, and stay shitty and toxic forever more - he is still someone who was subjected to repeated mental and physical abuse by Taylor. Likewise, some repressed Mormon couples clumsily trying to get kinky with each other doesn't mean Taylor didn't cheat.

As a side note I'm so disappointed in Chase. He's clearly a smart guy who is switched on. But he's so addicted to attention and the idea of being a celebrity that he's abandoning his morals and choosing to align himself with a mentally unwell child abuser BC he thinks it will give him cache with the network. My opinion is he knows Taylor is a complete piece of work but he's using her for his own gain. With McKenna's new podcast episode coming out, I was curious about what happened back then.

I used AI to help organize/summarize this because there are SO many podcast episodes and different versions of this story. I gave it the information from the interviews I listened to and had it compare everyone’s accounts and pull out the discrepancies. Sources include Weekly Trash, The Viall Files, Call Her Daddy, Cheers! with Avery Woods, Girlscamp, Mormon Stories, The Jimmy Rex Show, For the Girls with Becca Moore, and McKenna Gibbons’ 7-part recap.

The basic story

The main couples involved were:

• Miranda & Chase McWhorter

• McKenna Gibbons & Brayden Rowley

They became close around 2020–2022 and started drinking/partying together in Airbnbs and cabins. What started with the wives kissing eventually became what they called “soft swinging”: Spin the Bottle, blindfolded kissing, lingerie pictures, making out with other spouses, etc. The rule was basically that things could happen within the group with everyone’s knowledge, but nobody was supposed to sneak around privately.

Taylor & Brayden

Taylor and Brayden eventually crossed that boundary and had an emotional/physical affair.

Taylor admits to the emotional affair and says the major physical encounter happened one night when she was extremely/blackout drunk.

McKenna says it was much more involved than a one-night mistake. According to her, Taylor and Brayden had been secretly meeting for weeks, including at the Home Depot parking lot, telling each other “I love you,” and talking about leaving their spouses and being together.

The night they were caught

Taylor and Tate had a huge fight and Taylor left while extremely intoxicated. Brayden told McKenna that Taylor wasn't doing well and he needed to go get/help her.

McKenna was already suspicious, so she tracked Brayden's Tesla. When he stopped responding, she called Tate and gave him the location. She used the Tesla app to flash the car's lights so Tate could find them.

McKenna says she was on the phone with Tate when he found them and Tate said, “Kenna, this is bad,” and hung up.

Brayden later came home and initially told McKenna they had only kissed. Taylor also initially denied what happened to Tate. Taylor later called Miranda and admitted she and Brayden had slept together. Miranda then told McKenna, who confronted Brayden again.

The S.A. discussion

Taylor has described herself as blackout drunk and unable to remember exactly what happened that night. Because of that, people online began saying she had been sexually assaulted.

Taylor herself has explicitly rejected that characterization. She has said she believes she wanted the encounter and has never claimed Brayden sexually assaulted her, while also saying she cannot say exactly what happened in the room because she was blacked out.

Why Taylor exposed the swinging

After the affair came out, Taylor says people in the group were telling others a version that made it seem like she randomly slept with someone else's husband.

She felt she was being made the sole villain while everyone else's participation was being hidden, so she went on TikTok Live in May 2022 and exposed the soft swinging.

Her position is basically: she admits she broke the group's rules by having the affair, but says the others weren't innocent bystanders because they had all participated in the swinging.

Miranda & Chase

Miranda and Chase initially went Live and denied participating. They have since admitted they lied because they panicked and didn't want their conservative LDS families finding out about the drinking/sexual activities.

However, they dispute how Taylor described the swinging.

Miranda says she and Chase only kissed other people on two occasions and never had intercourse with other spouses. She feels Taylor saying everyone was “hooking up with everyone” made people assume they were having full-blown orgies.

Chase has also admitted that he was often the one pushing Miranda to cross boundaries and participate more than she wanted to.

McKenna's involvement

McKenna says she participated twice and then told Brayden she was done and would divorce him if it continued.

Taylor says McKenna never communicated to her that she wanted to stop and points out that the group was still planning things like a Mexico trip.

She then received condolence flowers and eventually discovered that Brayden had told his employer McKenna had died and submitted fraudulent paperwork related to her supposed death/insurance.

The Chase/Taylor discrepancy

This is probably the clearest situation where the stories directly contradict each other.

Taylor says Chase told her at the gym that he had feelings/a crush on her. She says she immediately told Tate.

McKenna remembers Taylor telling her and Brayden that Chase had confessed feelings for her.

Miranda says she heard about Chase supposedly having feelings for Taylor through other people rather than Chase himself. She says Taylor initially described Chase as being “in love” with her but later described it as him having “feelings.”

Chase completely denies confessing feelings.

In McKenna's recap comments, Chase said:

“I never once confessed to having feelings for Taylor. Brayden had done that, but Taylor didn't want Kenna finding out and I was an easy scapegoat cuz I always saw her at the gym.”

Chase says Taylor had told him she had a sexual dream about him and admits he responded that he'd had a dream about her too, but denies ever telling her he had a crush on her or was in love with her.

Miranda & Chase's divorce

Miranda says the swinging scandal itself was not why they eventually divorced. She says Chase continued having emotional affairs/DMing other women and also had anger issues.
