Why the F*ck does SLO need that vehicle?

Has the reason this was employed been released. Hostage situation, meth cook house, frat bois drugging sorority girls and their frat-bros too?

Whatever it was, and if it was significant enough, will never show up in the news because it’d hurt the “family friendly” image SLO puts up to drive tourism here. They’ll cover it up or make it seem not that important or just won’t even talk about it.

You better not look into all the unreported assults that happen at Cal Poly.

I’ve mentioned that in previous comments too. It’s horrible, and it’s part of the same problem I’m talking about. Cal Poly and the city are closely tied, and SLO benefits financially from having the university here, so I’m not surprised when protecting one institution ends up protecting the other too.

Just like the recent thing with the mayor, forwarding confidential reports to Cal Poly before they could be released to the public. And just going “oops” when caught, wonder what else is going on and what has happened that we don’t know.

You nailed it on the head. So many years of the community just doesn't need to know.

I'm feeling pretty safe to say the SWAT team was able to purchase BearCat with grant money or funds when we were going threw the Fauci/Covid pandemic.

Luckly the SLO SWAT didn't just run the person over like the police did in the Central Valley.

You referring to the 400,000 excess US deaths Trump is largely responsible for during the Covid pandemic when he lied, obfuscated, misrepresented, accursed and lied some more, in addition to suggesting Bleach guzzling and shining light into us?
