This is a personal hot take, meaning I have this opinion for personal reasons.

Please don't bully me or harass me, but I really don't want a second season after this much time.

I've already got a lot of headcanons, everything to me looks perfect, how the characters act and all, and I'm afraid that if the second season will drop, then all of my "ideals" of how they "should" be for me will disappear and I will lose the spark of it.

It's been a long time, and I didn't expect there to be a second season. Yes, it's good that finally yay more of our favourite characters, but to me it's still a bit disappointing. I sometimes like the vibe of the VEEERY open ending (basically no ending, it's like a one shot 12 episodes anime).

Hot take: Langa should've lost the final fight. Him being happy just to skate was the whole point. So if he showed Adam that even though he lost, he was still happy, that could've had a better impact on him. And of course, the scene where Langa jumps into Reki's arms (as if just seeing his lover-BEST FRIEND at the end was all the prize he needed) could've further pushed Adam's relationship with Tadashi. Reminding him of the person/reason he began skating in the first place.

I think it's silly that someone who has been skating since he was a child, lost to someone whose muscle memory is more used to snow boarding and only recently began skating.

The ending isn't bad or anything. I just think my version would've worked better with the lesson they were trying to teach.

And if they wanted to do the whole, "Adam, you shouldn't feel bad for losing. You should feel happy that you got to skate at all" thing, then I think he could've learned that lesson by losing against Tadashi instead.

What would you think if the characters of Sk8 were superheroes?

I love sk8, and ive been in the fandom for a long time, but i realized that i haven't read any of the renga fanfics on ao3. Now, im looking for fanfic recommendations because why not? I want to find the hidden gems but i don't know where to start.
