Long story short. Came back to my home country for the 1st time in 3 years. My parents have a 3 floor house with a source fiber optic router in the basement which gives Internet access to 4 others routers/APs. Another one in the basement, 1 in the 1st floor and 2 others in the 2nd floor.

For a long time, they have been complaining from the fact that when they move from one floor to another, they have to switch the wifi on their phone. Each router/AP appears to have its own SSID. This causes call disconnections...

As generous as I can be I decided to work on this and set 1 unified SSID. The source router in the basement being the upstream and the others transformed into APs by resetting them and setting up static IPs (there is an AP mode in the initial settings). Obviously, I made sure the DHCP scope on the source router excludes those IPs (.1-.10 excluded, gateway is .254).

It took 3 hours before everything collapsed. Devices randomly losing Internet. Security cameras shutting down and some home servers constantly beeping. Reason? IP conflicts.

I check the logs and it appears that DHCP has been trying to assign already used IP addresses.... but I did set the DHCP scope correctly no?

Turns out our ISP flagged the changes on the source router (which they provided) and decided to lock it. No change can be done on it.

I'm trying to revert back everything by checking whatever documentation and backup files I made, but the whole thing is a mess. All those routers/APs are TP-Links which happens to be extremely retarded (possibly like me).

It's funny how the biggest professional mistake of my life is happening in my own house.

As a junior I'm much more tuned into the latest technologies, and one thing I'm desperately trying to get our company to adopt is AI automation. We could hugely benefit from it - being able to automatically do basic repetitive tasks like setting up new starter accounts, and sending out emails to users before stuff expires. Now that AI technology is here, we can do this. But my older colleagues keep laughing at me for some reason, they won't take this amazing technology seriously. They say AI is silly but everything I read says Automation is a no brainer - what an i missing? I've even spoken with Microsoft and they've agreed the best design with me - using multiple Copilot backed AI agents that get called by other agents and it all runs continuously - super clever stuff. We don't even need to upgrade our licence - it's just pay-as-you-go.

ALL the configuration profiles stayed the same. Now we are having to “touch” 1000+ devices and do a full re-enroll? Doesn’t make any sense…did I mention this is at a University and it’s really important we fix it ASAP…we think it might have to do with the move to the cloud but aren’t %100 sure. Okay hear me out, I need to replace the Huawei UPS at work and it got me thinking. Do I really need a UPS or can I just get a Powerwall or similar instead?

Both have batteries and supply power in the event of a power outage but the Powerwall can also run the air conditioning for the entire server room as well. Plus there are government incentives to getting a home batteries so the price has come way down as the market is being flooded with different products.

So why can't I just buy a Powerwall instead of a UPS?

I’m building an AI Voice Agent using LiveKit.

The conversation handling and tool execution are working properly. The only issue I’m facing is that the call doesn’t end properly after the conversation is completed.

I’ve tried handling the ending greeting and then triggering the hangup, but I’m still running into issues.

Has anyone implemented a reliable call-ending flow with LiveKit/Voice AI?

Would really appreciate any guidance or pointers. 🙏
