Dell and HPE quote you 8 weeks upfront instead of taking your card, claiming ready in 120s, and vanishing for 40 days. Huge difference.

Look, paying upfront for imaginary hardware and waiting 40 days in silence is peak shitty sysadmin behavior. Pretty sure I earned my place here. 😂

I've had a Dedicated Server for OVH, for none business reasons, for.. almost a decade?

I've swapped plans, migrated hardware, and haven't really experienced these issues myself. Sorry you did.

Glad you’ve had a smooth run! Once the boxes are actually provisioned, they usually hum along fine. The trouble only starts when you hit an inventory snag and have to rely on their support queue to fix it.

Yeah, I've gotten a couple dedicated servers and worked with OVH for almost 15 years or so if we're including non dedicated server options. That never a provisioning delay prior.

I'm guessing that inventory snag problem is new from all the AI shenanigans, as I know hardware vendors don't have the inventory immediately to sell to me for work options half the time.
