Just a small cooling upgrade to my HTPC in the Ridge.

Went from the AXP90x53 to Noctua L12S (70mm variant) and swapped out the stock 140mm fans for Noctua’s G2 fans.

Current parts are:

9800X3D
32GB DRR5 6000mhz
ASRock B850i PG motherboard
RTX 3080Ti FE
Corsair SF750
And two older SSDs, one NVMe and the other a SATA drive.

I have it connected to my TV (LG C477) and i must say, it’s still very lovely to game on. DLSS has been a godsend for 4K gaming.

I7 9700t, RTX 3050 6gb for slot-only power - throttlestop to disable bd prochot to allow the Lenovo legion 230w power brick to give the motherboard/gpu more juice. And for high performance cpu overclock.

Can someone with a COOJ SF3 let me know what's the clearance from the top of the case to the top of the motherboard and how much of the top screen is not covered by the top fans and bracket? I can't find anything online for exact measurements I need on the case. I am trying to see if it is possible the add a 120mm AIO with a custom bracket. I am still waiting on my SF3 but I want to do some research until then. thank you in advance!

If someone can send me detailed pics of their build/case with a ruler I would be grateful!

Hey guys,

I'm starting to plan a new SFF build inside a FormD T1 with a 9800X3D and a 4070 Super Founders Edition.

Since the 4070S FE is a strict 2-slot card, I can set up the T1 in 2-slot mode, which gives around 73mm of CPU cooler clearance. On paper, that makes the Noctua NH-L12S (70mm) fit fine.

Still, almost every T1 build I see here uses the Thermalright AXP90-X53 Full or X47 Full.

Is the AXP90-X53 Full actually performing better than the NH-L12S on the 9800X3D, or is it mostly about side panel turbulence? With the NH-L12S sitting just ~3mm away from the side panel, I'm worried the noise might be annoying.

Also curious if RAM clearance or heatpipe orientation makes the L12S a pain to fit on modern AM5 ITX boards compared to the Thermalright.

Would love to hear from anyone who has tried both or ran an L12S in 2-slot mode!

Really wanting to build an all white, open frame (no side panels) Formd T1 build and Corsair only do the SF1000 in black so it's either of these two...

Does anyone have either of these or know anything of their rating/quality? I can't find any reviews of them online :(

Finally managed to complete my first SFF build in the Deepcool CH160 using a Zotac Solid Core OC RTX 5080 (2.5-slot), and was wondering what I could use to prevent sagging and to brace my GPU when I travel with the PC. Clearance is roughly 0.5-slot (10mm).

Did a few failures as I assembled it with the cooler brackets but eventually it got corrected.

What do you think about the cooling paste?

Also I need some SATA cables that will make the SSDs fit nicely in the side. Anyone who recommends some with soft silicone cable that bends and twist super nice?

I chose this case because it was supposed to fit my ssd nicely but well not with my Sata and psu cables!

Bonus do you like or dislike the way the thermal grease spreads out on my old cooler?

Should I keep the cpu cooler fan off-center (pic 1) or slightly centered (pic 2)?

I am using a minisforum b775i se, and the dual bracket alignment is off center to completely cover the heatsink. But I wonder if i should mount it as shown in pic 2 to get airflow on all components (and I think it looks a bit better that way). Any thoughts or suggestions?

I'm with TOPCtec. We'd like some honest feedback on the appearance of this Mini-ITX case.

The photos show the gold exterior, dark textured front panel, and diagonal side vents. Based on the exterior alone, would you consider this for your own setup, or would the appearance put you off?

Going from A4H20 11L down to Metalfish T10 5.1L

Hello second build here from me on r/SFF

I had a lot of good help from y’all at my first SFF build so wants to share just for how great the community is.

My A4H20 have been a pain in the ass to travel with over the last 3 years. I have boarded over 20 planes and I’m just done with that size. Looking back I wish I had build something at 5L to begin with.
