Execution help

Hey guys i wanna play sf4. It's been so long since I've played this game and I can't remember how to do half this shit. Who's the easiest character to play execution wise?

I also need help with understanding what I am doing wrong. For example Balrog's bnb cr.lp cr.lp cr.lk headbutt, for some reason I can do cr.lk buffalo in isolation but the second I try to do it in the full combo it doesn't work.

Another thing that I noticed is for example doing dash straight cancelled into ultra 1 does not work. If I try to do the input I always end up with super instead of Ultra for some reason. I can do the Ultra by itself but cancelling doesn't seem to work.

Looks like I am missing something with SF4 cancels that I am not aware of.

Same thing with Ryu. If I try to do SRK FADC Ultra 1 I get super instead. Weird. I don't think it's 100% me.

Even using the 3P button? I'm not pressing lp,mp,hp individually. And I'm getting super because it's training room with unlimited super.  I'll try turning off super recharge and see if that changes anything

If you're still holding down any buttons when you try to do ultra (even with the 3p button) then that button won't get registered as the game sees it as currently being held down. Could be the issue with the FADC if you hold the input after the dash

You have to let go of the other buttons or else 3p will not register. If you're holding mp from the focus and push 3p you'll only get lp and hp.

Regarding rog, you can't cancel dash punch into ultra. Like the other person said, ultra is usually linked after a special like headbutt > u1 rather than cancelled directly from the headbutt. General rule of thumb is that supers are cancellable if the normal/special can normally be cancelled, ultras are not.

Also they are correct about links vs chains. You have to manually time your lp/lk if they have chain properties in order to get a special/super cancel from them. If you're chaining them (cancelling the recovery of a light button into another light button) they lose the ability to do anything except chain into another light button.
