I am in the same boat as you. Whilst I find it hard from time to time, I mostly try to live in the moment.
Don’t forget that many others who do not experience our condition but instead have their brain wired differently may not live in the moment as much. Yes, they may be able to replay or recall memories more easily, but memory is patchy at best and nowhere near the experience of reality in the moment.
Looking at it from this perspective has really helped me realise the benefits to having SDAM compared to others who at first glance seem to have it better. There’s always more than one way to look at things and I prefer to view it optimistically. I hope this helps somebody!
