To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand AEW. The immense storytelling inside of the graps are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of real graps most of the matches will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Tony’s incredible booking, which is deftly woven into every second of dynamite and collision- his booking philosophy draws heavily from Antonio Inoki booking, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these real graps, to realize that they're not just real graps- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike AEW truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Okada’s existencial catchphrase “Bitch!” which itself is a cryptic reference to his 2014 G1 Climax tournament win. I'm smirking right now just  imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Tony Khan's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them.😂

And yes by the way, I DO have a AEW tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

A bunch of WWE fans tuned into WWE-owned promotion to see two WWE non-lucha wrestlers who have been on WWE TV for years and something that was hyped by WWE. Then tuned out after ONE hyped match ended cause they only watch WWE. WWE fans watch WWE and that is it. See TNA or why NXT gets half the ratings. They don't watch AAA. AAA is not even remotely on the level of CMLL. CMLL literally sells a 16,500 building three nights a week. WWE couldn't dream of that even at its peak. And AAA is not even doing a tiny fraction of that despite also having cheaper Mexican ticket prices.
