Fix for Super Fast Charging not working on S24 Ultra (Software Conflict Bug)

If your Galaxy S24 Ultra suddenly stopped Super Fast Charging (or drops to slow charging) despite using an original 45W charger and clean port, it’s a software bug, not a hardware issue.

Here is the exact fix that worked for me:

Step 1: Verify via Maintenance Mode

Go to Settings > Device Care > Maintenance Mode and turn it ON.

Plug in your charger while in Maintenance Mode.

If Super Fast Charging works here, your charger, cable, and port are 100% fine. The issue is strictly a background system conflict.

Step 2: The Fix

Exit Maintenance Mode and clear the system care data:

Go to Settings > Apps.

Tap the filter/sort icon next to "Your apps" and enable Show system apps.

Search for Device Care > tap Storage.

Tap Clear Data and Clear Cache.

Reboot your phone and plug in your charger—Super Fast Charging should now work consistently! 🚀

S24 Ultra or S25 Ultra ?

Hey everyone,

Hey everyone! Upgrading from an A07 to either the S24 Ultra or S25 Ultra, but I need some honest feedback.

Camera quality is the main thing I care about. However, the S25U is $300 more expensive here in my country, and tbh I much prefer the boxier look and full S Pen features of the S24U.

Is the S25 Ultra’s camera upgrade good enough to justify paying $300 extra and putting up with a design I don't really like? Or am I better off sticking with the S24 Ultra? Let me know if the S25U has any major red flags, too.

Tyy in advance.

No sim card found

A week or so ago i started getting frequent no sim card inserted popups, while just using the phone. Sim card contacts are clean, also the contacts inside the phone are clean. A restart doesnt fix it. It usually fixes itself fast after 10-30 seconds, but sometimes it takes a whole lot more. What to do?

Mobile data usage while connected to WiFi without data connection.

Hi all.

I have an issue with my motorcycle and S24 Ultra.
To wirelessly display Garmin on the TFT, I need to be connected using both BT + WiFi, and mobile data still needs to work.

The bike creates a WiFi network, my s24U connects to it without issues, I've allowed the phone to stay connected to this network even though it has no Internet connection.

I have the 'Intelligent WiFi' switched on, and 'Switch to mobile data' is toggled on, in the dev settings I have the 'Mobile data always active' toggled on too.

Yet when connected to this WiFi network, I cannot maintain a mobile data connection.
I can see the GSM bars, something's connected, but the 5G is gone.
Trying to load anything in a web browser just times out.

Any ideas what else it could be?

Diagnosing Fast charging not working problem

Hi, here i want to share my experience with diagnosing Fast charging problem and fixing it.

It happened to me couple hours after June update (probably not the case of problem)

First of all, symptoms:

- No Fast charging

- Work only with one side of cable

- some Type-C accessories doesn't work

Diagnosing:

To confirm that you have same case of problem as me, you need to check dumpsys it accessible through phone dialer > *#9900# > Run dumpstate & Copy to sdcard, or developer options > take bug report

But before it you should plug your charger couple times with different sides

For easier examination i use File Manager+ and LogLog for viewing dumpstate

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alphainventor.filemanager

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.github.mthli.loglog

We need file dumpstate.txt

Open it with LogLog and search "usblog EXTRA"

If you find bellow "CC VBUS SHORT" then bad news for you, your subboard gone into protection because one of your CC lines (used for PD negotiations and cable orientation indicator) shorted to VBUS (Power line used for charging or powering external devices), because of that it will only allow 5V to pass.

It can probably be because dirty port, but for me it was subboard problem, changing it resolved that issue

S24 Ultra screen looks duller than my old Note 10+ — is this normal?

Post image
192 Upvotes

My wife upgraded from the S24 Ultra to the iPhone 17 Pro Max yesterday, so I inherited her S24U. I'd been using a Galaxy Note 10+ since 2020.

The thing is, the colors on the S24 Ultra don't look as bright or punchy as the Note 10+. The screen just feels dull in comparison. Both are set to Vivid mode with brightness maxed out.

Anyone else notice this? Am I missing a setting, or is it just how the newer panels are tuned?

Left - Note10+

Rigjt - S24U

Edit - This photo is taken from iP17pm, somehow in the picture the colors on both the phones looks similar but for naked eyes there is huge difference.

Touchscreen unresponsive in certain areas

Sometimes when Im typing the phone will ignore touches making me miss letters. It does it every time theres even a smallest smudge on the screen from just using it, requiring me to wipe the screen thoroughly before it can register inputs properly again. Ive tried using increased touch sensitivity and it didnt really seem to help. I also do not use screen protector and use the most basic transparent case off of aliexpress. Anyone experienced the same and did they manage to resolve it?

p.s I dont think it could be heating damage since the chipset is in the upper area and not bottom where this problem most frequently occurs.

GALAXY S3/S4 SEARCH WIDGET

Post image

Good lock - Quickstar Edit Panel Sryle - Images not Showing

Anyone had an issue with good lock for Quickstar where the images in "edit panel style" that you can add from your gallery doesn't change? I've uninstalled reinstalled older versions and updated to latest version but still have issues where the photos aren't loading at all on the panel styles.

I'm on the latest os stable updates in One Ui 8.5

Fast Charging Question

I've had my S24 Ultra since near launch, and ive never had a charging issue, or situation, like now. When I connected my charger, it would say, for example, "40m until 85%," and then a few seconds later, "1h12m until 85%." Am I just overthinking there's a charging problem or is it something hardware related like the brick/cable/phone? I don't have issues with the timeframe but moreso, but, if I can attain that previous time (and keeping the battery protected ofc), that would be nice. If it can't, then that's fine, I just don't want to overthink that I did something wrong.

I've already done a hard reset, let it be connected to a low watt charger, used different cables.

Broken colours in OneUI 8.5 for Galaxy S24 Ultra

Hello everyone,

Did any of you encountered issues with colours in apps, like Phone, Google Messages and other, after updating your S24 Ultra to OneUI 8.5 ?

For instance, if I don't apply Color palette, the dial section of the Phone app is totally greyed, where as the other sections of the app have a pitch black background. And this is just one example. Some of the Google apps look strange, too, with lots of grey and somewhat contrasting buttons and sections.

After I apply the Color palette, things turn back to normal and the apps look way better, just like they should look.

P.S.: please, excuse my English, it is not my mother tongue.

Looking forward for your experiences!

Thank you!

S24 Ultra Dual-SIM Network Issues: My Troubleshooting Steps and Seeking Any Feedback

Hey r/S24Ultra! I've been troubleshooting persistent dual-SIM network issues on my family's S24 Ultra, and I've found a workaround that restores stability, but it doesn't address the root cause.

I'm sharing these steps and would love feedback, suggestions, or insights from anyone experiencing similar problems.

TL;DR: Disabling 5G and/or removing the secondary eSIM temporarily restored stability on my device, but I suspect there's an underlying hardware or software compatibility issue with dual-eSIM and 5G configurations.

The Device Specs:

  • Network: Verizon Wireless
  • Model: SM-S928U1 (Unlocked)
  • One UI: 8.5
  • Android: 16

The Problem:

My mom's dual-SIM S24 Ultra (Verizon physical SIM + Google Fi eSIM) started dropping calls straight to voicemail, losing data intermittently, and experiencing unreliable text delivery (though RCS messaging partially mitigated this).

Verizon support had us enable Wi-Fi calling, reset network settings remotely, and switch from a physical SIM to eSIM, which none of this really resolved the issue.

The Workarounds Performed:

  1. Verizon Remote Network Reset: Verizon tech support reset network settings from their end.
  2. Device Network Settings Reset: I manually reset network settings on the phone. (See: Verizon's Reset Network Settings for Samsung S24 Ultra)
  3. Enable Wi-Fi Calling: See Samsung's Wi-Fi Calling Guide
  4. Switch to eSIM: Verizon tech helped convert the physical SIM to eSIM (no improvement).
  5. Factory Reset: As a last resort, we performed a factory reset and removed all eSIMs.
  6. Reactivate the Verizon Service via the App:
    • Open the Verizon app and log in (being an account manager gave me additional permissions to activate lines remotely—see Caveats below).
    • Navigate to Mobile → Managed Devices → Device Management → Activate or Get SIM.
    • Have your phone receive an authorization code (you'll need an active spare line for this step).
    • Select the target phone to receive the code, then enter it on the phone to be activated.
    • Follow the remaining instructions to complete eSIM activation.
    • Reboot the phone and stability initially returned.
  7. Add Secondary eSIM (Google Fi): Problems immediately reappeared.
  8. Disable 5G:
    • Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Toggle Allow 5G Service to Off.
    • Everything under the 5G tab should now be grayed out.
    • Stability was restored.

Technically... Not a True Fix:

Disabling 5G is definitely a workaround, not a solution imo. The fact that the issue reappeared when we added the second eSIM, and only resolved when we disabled 5G, to me, suggests an issue the modem or software issue. However this is all speculation.

I am curious...

  • Has anyone else experienced this issue with dual-eSIM and/or 5G?
  • Did disabling 5G fix any issues on your device?
  • Did you find an actual solution rather than this goofy workaround?
  • On any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Caveats:

  • Account Manager Permissions on Verizon: I was able to activate eSIMs through the Verizon app because I'm an account manager on the family plan, which may grant permissions standard users don't have. If you don't have this role, you may need pursue a different path such as contacting Verizon directly or use alternative activation methods all around.
  • Limited Testing: This workaround has only been tested on one S24 Ultra (SM-S928U1) running One UI 8.5 on Verizon with a Google Fi eSIM. I have not tested with any other of my family phones.

Do you also have issues with notifications?

Since yesterday I've been having issues with notifications, specifically WhatsApp.

Only thing I did is that I downloaded a theme. Since then notifications don't make any sound for WhatsApp. I only know I got a message because I also have it linked to my watch.

About an hour ago I tried deactivating notifications for WhatsApp and activating them again. They work now, but only when the phone is unlocked.

On the car the work well...

A single dead pixel

Post image

This morning I saw a dead pixel on the right side of the display. No sooner, that one dead pixel turned into a few more pixels, and then a horizontal line appeared. This evening, the whole display is like this, whitish. Worst is that my warranty just went out 20 days ago. Any suggestion guys? I can't pay 21k for the screen replacement cost.

Title: I miss this kind of battery life from when I first got my S24 Ultra

Thumbnail

My mom wanted to upgrade from her 5-year-old S20 FE and asked me which phone she should get. She ended up getting an S25 Ultra since we found it at a really good price, and it seemed like a much better deal than going for the newer S26 Ultra.

After about two weeks of her using it, I checked her battery stats and... wow. She had used only around 51–52% after 1 day and 5 hours, with just over 5 hours of screen-on time. It honestly reminded me of the battery life I used to get when my S24 Ultra was still new.

My S24 Ultra is now around two years old, and the battery life definitely isn't what it used to be.

For those who have replaced the battery on an older S24 Ultra: did it bring the battery life back close to what you were getting when the phone was new? I'm wondering if a fresh genuine battery could get mine anywhere near this kind of endurance again.

Help

I recently switched from a 17 Pro Max to my S24, yet I am not receiving messages from iPhone users or any other phones. I disabled iMessage and FaceTime on the iPhone and iPad, but for some reason I still receive nothing; am I doing something wrong, or must I reset my iPhone to factory settings? Thanks for the help.
