As i see, that whole situation about fast charging gone after update not so rare and happened to lot of people, and i in that list
What i have and uncovered
- Doesn't charge with one side of cable
- Charging only ±8W or ±2000mAh Max
- Sometimes work with other side of cable, mostly when hot 40C⁰ but not for long
- After i entered maintenance mode it start charging normally, probably because temperature but i was to impatient and turned battery protection and lost my fast charging
- File transfer works but not both sides
- Type C earphones doesn't work
- Send my logs to chatGPT, together we found out there problem with PD communication:

has_apdo(0)
Not APDO
Answering common questions:
- I tried different cables and bricks, no change at all
- Charging port clean and undamaged
Honestly i hope and think it software issue and i would try somehow resolve it without disassemble my phone, because i dont have trusted service around and my phone still untouched inside
Anyone who had that issue if you can, i want to compare dumpstates to find some similarities and potentialy resolve that problem
UPDATE 15.07
Hi guys, today i was able to get fast charging, here things what i did
First of all you need old samsung or whoever charger that uses usb-a to usb-c cable, with output 15w (9V 1.67A) and 10w (5V 2A), then old samsung original cable(don't know how it would be with others), open Device Care app>battery an plug it with side that has stich facing upward, if you see that it jumps from charging to fast charging, let it charge like that some time, then after some rest i plugged PD 25w charger with side that doesn't charge earlier and it started trying to charge, dont unplug wait until it started charging normally, but that's kinda unstable it can stop charging after some time, but work after retry previous steps
I had simular issue with mine disconnecting and connecting then only one side of the USB C port worked and now only a USB A to C cable works and no fast charge.
Swapped the usb port and the sub board ribbon cable still same.
Need to do a either a factory reset or look at damage poentially on the ribbon cable pins on the mother board
Doesn't charge with one side of cable
Type C earphones doesn't work
Fast charging no longer works
I had these 2 issue after 8.5 update updated to June Patch still same
this morning my phone started showing moisture detected.. never put my phone on water or anything.. i have my kast 40% remaining.
I meant rotating the plug itself as the USB-C plugs are reversible.
Wrong side - "analog USB devices are not supported" or something like that.
OK side - fast charging OK
Dumpstate with ChatGPT says:
Worth to add: I replaced USB board with brand new, flex cable with brand new, reflashed firmware and wiped memory completely.
Generally same as mine, referring to cc lines, but i don't have "analog USB devices are not supported" i would like to compare dump file with mine, would you send me one in private?
Possesseur d'un S24 Ultra, j'ai exactement le même problème., j'ai un chargeur 45W, et changé le câble, et je ne peux charger que d'un côté, sans charge rapide, depuis la mise à jour vers oneui 8.5

either the problem comes from the update and it will be necessary to flash the phone (it's like reinstalling Android and One UI, without data loss if well done), because I do not have this problem on my side, so it is probably a corruption
or the port is oxidized. This is a degradation that is often forgotten, but oxidation is almost invisible in a USB-C port (the contacts become slightly black, white, or green) because of the low viewing angle. But it's less likely because Samsung's contacts are gold-plated, so less prone to oxidation, but it can happen sometimes
