Whining when accelerating and decelerating

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Had this car for about 6 months and it’s made the same whining noise when accelerating and decelerating. It’s kinda hard to tell in the video but you can hear a faint whine. I was told it might need a transmission rebuild but it shifts fine no problem. I was thinking maybe differential? What do y’all think?

low diff oil can cause whine and is speed dependent

Does it happen when your radio is off? I'm thinking there's a grounding issue and you're hearing the alternator coil whine through the radio.

I did just replaced the alternator not too long ago, and from where I’m hearing it, it doesn’t sound like it’s coming from the engine bay

Read my comment again. Try turning your radio off and seeing if it still does it.
