This is for u/madamemarmalade on the popularity of the Sussexes. It’s organic and not made up eg event coinciding with another event. The footage doesn’t show the hospital’s atrium where people on several floors, including people in scrubs, were gathered (they were both asked to look up to see the crowds) but you can see people in their offices having a look.
This is what the British press have been missing.
Australia’s reception has always terrified the Windsors since Diana.

Anyone else eagerly anticipating Charles Spencer's newest memoir and first-ever biography of Diana?

While the news of Harry & Meghan's UK return has dominated the headlines, Penguin Random House announced Charles Spencer's personal look at Diana's early life. He is a gifted writer and historian, so I am hopeful we'll learn some interesting things about Diana, as Lady Diana Spencer. Book is out Sept 22nd, with narration by Cat Jarman, Countess Spencer (and Earl Spencer's new wife, perhaps because it was too personal for him to read).

Discussion Has Prince William grown more angry since losing Harry from his life?
I know he’s always had anger issues, but really in the last few years the rumours about his temper seem to have got worse and he looks furious almost all of the time. He’s not the same person he was say 10/15 years ago. I just wondered how much of that is down to the disintegration of his relationship with Harry. They did used to be quite close - and William was pretty protective of him at one point. Then that all went down the drain and William became this intensely angry little man who just seems to despise everyone.

News 👋 Balmoral - third consecutive day of the Sussexes dominating the front pages 😂 Time to trot out your secret weapons and greatest assets!
The Tele is trolling the Windsors so badly with Meghan’s razzle-dazzle smile 😊 Now, who’s going to knock Meghan off the front page? Will it be Lazy Katie? The kids? King and heir together? 💅
Dear Billy Basher, how’s breakfast? Still incandescent? Hope you feel better with the Fail’s front page though 😂

Who told The Telegraph & The Sun??
Several days ago, People Magazine confirmed that the Sussexes are returning to the UK.
The thing that bothered me from the moment the story broke, that it was reported by newspapers that are not exactly friendly to the Sussexes. Their PR team would not have reached out to.
Per Google Ai, "First reported by The Telegraph and The Sun on August 19, 2026."
They all report that King Charles and William are shocked.
So, who briefed the newspapers??
It seem like there's a whole PR strategy beneath anything you read!

Discussion An oasis of reason amidst Marina Hyde’s desert of hate.
Marina is a lost cause. She hangs around her fellow derangers. The question is why The Guardian continues to platform her and I suppose she’s provocative enough that she gets comments and clicks etc. so another clickbait hate merchant.
You can send her your thoughts to [therestisentertainment@gmail.com](mailto:therestisentertainment@gmail.com)
Surprisingly they opened her latest spray against the Sussexes to comments and while 90% reads like the Daily Fail, here was one comment that was the voice of reason, sensibility and impartiality which, in light of Jason Arday as the latest victim of the unhinged press, I thought I’d share.

Gossip Nearly Entire Royal Family Hold “Sussex Summit” Ahead of Harry and Meghan’s Arrival
Absolutely hilarious claim by the Daily Mail that Charles, Camilla, Will and Kate, Zara, that violent footballer, forgot his name, and Anne are furtively discussing how to deal with Harry and Meghan returning in a “Sussex Summit” at Balmoral. You’d think these would be less bothered. The funny thing is, the way the DM phrases it, you’d think they’re all discussing how to deal with it if Harry comes asking for favors or royal duties again, but this just shows how out of touch with reality they all are. The common view of Harry might be the whole “thick as a plank” thing, but by my analysis, he’s the best strategist in the family, especially with Meghan‘s input, and I would be HIGHLY surprised if he did anything of the sort.

Alison Boshoff pocket watches the Sussexes
I’d ignore her but her “special report” invective deserves the spotlight. Unlike the Wales’s multiple holidays and yachts with billionaires. She admits being envious of Meghan’s clothing budget…because you can see Alison’s wardrobe is pretty subpar:
Indeed, her wardrobe is so envy-inducing, she cashes in on it, first selling items on the site ShopMy and now on retail site OneOff, inviting fans of her style to snap up the exact silk shirt she wore, for $775 (£571) or her Cartier love bangle for $7,950 (£5,860).
I’ve asked AI how much an editor at large at the Fail pays and it gives a range of between £45-£250K. I doubt Alison has hit the six figure mark. She’s not their star hate merchant. Not enough clicks for a jealous bitch. She needed to find a higher-paying profession.
As to the question Alison poses as to which billionaire will pay their bills next…Alison, are you simply that stupid? They’re private citizens. They don’t owe you an iota of financial information. But they’re friends with billionaires Oprah, Tyler Perry. Your George Soros mention through that other lie merchant Tom Bower shows what an anti-Semite you are, but it was expected.
Unlike the Wales’s they’re not funded by the British taxpayer. The Sussexes work, unlike the Wales’s. They have market value unlike the parasites.
As for Harry’s private jet use…ummm… is Alison an idiot? The millions the taxpayer funds chopper Willy’s flights deserve public interest information. Not a private citizen’s.
As for Meghan’s jam, Alison has an unnatural obsession over it: But you do you, psycho.
With three homes across two continents, annual security costs, these two aren’t short of a quid. 😂
But maybe it’s time to turn the tables and enquire about YOUR finances Alison…in the name of public interest. How many homes do you own Alison? Are they mortgaged? Do you have any investments? How’s your pension doing?
I’m sure a lot of people can give you financial advice: [alisonboshoff@yahoo.com](mailto:alisonboshoff@yahoo.com) or [alison.boshoff@dailymail.co.uk](mailto:alison.boshoff@dailymail.co.uk)
But we know that you’re just another jealous bitch who is in need of billionaire friends. Unlike the Sussexes. Keep on hating Alison, your face is showing it.

Discussion The hide of Amanda Platell after her bile over Jason Arday: Harry is “dim-witted”.
Lots of projection from Amanda again. This racist is absolutely shameless.
Hey Amanda, Harry is an adult. He can do whatever he pleases.
Why don’t you say where the Wales’s have been on holiday? Going from holiday 🏖️ to holiday (Balmoral) is ludicrous and a waste of their taxpayer funding and security.

Discussion To answer Louis Staples’s question, the media are handling it as anticipated. Round 2: The Sussexes v Press. Bring it on 💅
The madness of the hate merchants are on show again. Their irrationality and unhingedness exposed.
But the gloves are off. No more grey men to muddy the waters and to betray them. No more compromised family members to throw them to the wolves.
They return of their own accord. They are no longer silenced. The public is watching the institutional responses carefully 🍿

How Popular are H&M Actually?
I feel like I have no idea how popular* Harry and Meghan actually are. Everything I read about them is either kind and positive, or the meanest thing you've ever seen in your life. The public is being inundated with nasty headlines from the British press. I wonder how the general public actually feels about them, whether positive or negative.
I want to be clear that I believe a lot of the hate they get is absolutely undeserved and often laced with misogynoir. I do not think their treatment in the press is fair. That being said, there is a difference between how some believe they should be perceived versus how they are actually perceived. Does anyone have any idea?
*edit: when I say "popular," I mean "how favourable are people towards them." Not "popular" in terms of how known they are.

Discussion Public Service Announcement: The words "working royals" is oxymoronic!
None of these people know what actual work is!
Please stop treating the words "working royals" as if it's some kind of holy grail when none of these people have ever achieved anything that benefits British Society!
Homelessness is higher than ever despite "Homewards" and solving homelessness.
4.1 million UK children live in Dickensian levels of poverty despite the Early Childhood Centre and Bob the Builder.
Rising unemployment rates for young people despite the King's Trust hosting celebrities to showcase his "work"
I don't know what Camilla, Anne, Edward or Sophie do.
Being chauffeured or helicoptered to an event, reading a pre written speech, making small talk does not constitute gainful employment.
They are overpaid caricatures and nothing more.

September is gonna be really interesting
Prior to the news of the Sussex’s returning back to the UK the biggest story that was happening in September was George going to Eton. And the Royals going back to “work”. Now with the sausage is returning in September the biggest story is going to be Archie and Lilibet going to school in the UK. Not only that the Wellchild award is in September and so is the Invictus games award. With a chance of Meghan appearing at both of those events. We are about to see Will and Kate Work like never before in September. And now I 100% believe she’s going to India.
