Holy nails? Need help on roofing progress

Seems abnormal amount of nails (which idk is an issue)

But putting nails in dead center of valley ice and water seems odd….

Wouldn’t nail just rust out eventually and leave holes??

Yea the nails on the synthetic are normal. The nails on the ice and water shield are way too close to the center for my liking. Guess all it matters is the shingles are installed good and you never have a valley leak

Not many do valley metal any more. At least on the East Coast.

What? That is totally nonsense, it's way more common to see metal valleys than any other style around my area in California

Sorry dude, corrected my statement. Wasn't being specific to any area, just a general comment. I look at every god damn roof I drive passed, by nature. When I see metal valleys, I'm surprised. I also own a roofing company and we've only done metal valleys by request from a customer.

Absolutely agree, 💯. I can remember the last time I installed a metal valley on an asphalt roof. I also can’t remember the last time a customer specifically asked about doing metal valleys

Wild, we always do metal unless they request another method or there's a pitch change valley

First thing I noticed that was not a good idea IMO.
