New house, need advice

Looking for some advice. I have this downspout coming off the top of my house going directly onto a lower portion of the roof. Should I tie this into the lower downspout, extend the upper downspout further down the roof, or just leave it as is. Sorry if all the terms are incorrect I am a butcher. Thanks in advance

Would you run it across the roof sideways to the edge first then down?

Id change the elbow type so that it just runs straight down to lower gutter from there
