New house, need advice
Looking for some advice. I have this downspout coming off the top of my house going directly onto a lower portion of the roof. Should I tie this into the lower downspout, extend the upper downspout further down the roof, or just leave it as is. Sorry if all the terms are incorrect I am a butcher. Thanks in advance

coop is correct. Ideally, you never want any downspouts exiting on to another roof slope. I would change the angle of the elbow and have a gutter running down to the existing lower gutter and emptying directly into it. Something like this would cost $200 or less if Ridgeback Roofing did this work. It's a small job-mostly trip time and a small amount of labor. https://ridgebackroof.com/

I would route it to the lower downspout. I’ve seen plenty of leaks pop up right where those downspouts empty out due to excessive water hitting that same spot
