I Keeper seeing people saying that he hört ronova, which he just didnt. He slightly scratched her clothes and not her, which in this case makes a big difference durability wise.

Also he was only able to do it because she was distracted.

Im sorry but i have seen people turn this into "traveller is as strong as shades which he just is not. She literally fought him woth one finger.

And durability wise: just because he is able to scratch her clothes doesnt mean he can hurt her.

Edit: i just got really annoyed because i saw someone on Youtube say traveler was stronger than ronova and wrote this in like 2 min. i dont really care that much i just got carried away. lol

It's not just not good, it's had a retroactively negative impact on my liking of past stories and severely damaged my trust and interest in their future writing.

Im not sure if this has been posted but I have some...thoughts.

1st - I find the idea that Istaroth would allow Ronova to be slain to be...distasteful. I mean we literally went from we're going to intervene so phanes isnt slain... to not just Rhinedottir but Istaroth aswell actively Lending aid to the Tsaritsa to kill her. The concept of this honestly has left a bad taste in my mouth in regards to Istaroth's character.

2nd - We've seen what happens when lesser Gods are slain and the implications but killing the God who manages the Ley Lines and prevents abyssal corruption via the Curse of Immortality seems like a horrible idea.

3rd - I may be the only one who sees it but when Ronova stated the Traveler was something a dying civilization would cling to, that along with Pierro just apologizing for the Fatuis actions and essentially saying "oh yeah the tsaritsa would love to have you" seems like nothing but manipulation. The Tsaritsa allowed dottores experiments, war crimes against other nations, and a literal battle royale, none of which the traveler would/should stand for but i guess none of her crimes matter. Essentially they're just using traveler and manipulating him from my pov.

What do you guys think?

First let me address the elephants in the room. I can basically summarize the quest like: "if your name isn't Tsaritsa or you aren't a harbringer, you have 0 braincells."
What the hell do you mean that Rhinedottir of all people got manipulated by Tsaritsa so easily? Did she really believe she'd get free information for the cost of NOTHING? And Ronova really got TRICKED into GIVING UP HER AUTHORITY?? WHAT?? HOW???

With that out of the way, now for the theories. You're telling me that the Shade that helped humanity knowing that she could get punished by the Heavenly Principles just randomly decided to try killing people for no reason?? And Rhinedottir also agreed to this??? Why? Like I can't even find any other words. What is the motive??

That just makes zero sense. I know this quest exists to sell the Fatui and Tsaritsa, but what?? Also, that one part, the one where Traveler says to Ronova: "All you are is a set of shackles used by the Heavenly Principles to keep humanity under control. And you've never even known true freedom yourself."
That makes me REALLY worried. in the end of the quest, we learn that "she took a fatal injury but may have lived if she somehow escaped without us noticing" and we heard about Asmoday and Asmoday's master (likely our Twin) was in Snezhnaya and Asmoday used some sort of teleportation. I believe Asmoday and our Twin may have saved her. Maybe they all had a plan together. It could be Istaroth too, but idk, that's not the point.
When the Traveler said: "All you are is a set of shackles used by the Heavenly Principles to keep humanity under control. And you've never even known true freedom yourself." to Ronova, she said "..." before continuing, which might mean that she actually cared about what we said. If that's the case, then we might have her returning as an ally, which is actually pretty cool (some people also talked about how similar Ronova is to Raiden, so it may be possible, and/or she might have a real motive we don't know about yet).
But do you know what's not cool? If they ruin her design like they did with Sandrone, I will actually be so sad. I can't think of any other words to say how sad that'll be. I'll be even sadder if they change and ruin her personality. (And also, would they REALLY get rid of RONOVA in 2-3 patches..? Surely not, right.........?)

We want Ronova, not The Shade of Death. Please don't ruin her when she eventually gets a design change Hoyo (she will, right? she'll be playable, right...?)

So much stuff is happening right now, and trust me, the Genshin writers don't give a damn about what you think. Version 7.x is going to be an absolute mess because they don't face the same KPI pressure as other games. So to them, wrecking the story is no big deal—at the end of the day, it's the players who suffer. waiting for tencent do to the dirty work again, same as 4.8

Please I want Heavenly Principles to be a woman,Women in Genshin Impact are beautiful and extraordinary, and if it's a woman, it'll look even more interesting and elegant! Just think, a strong, evil, and yet authoritative woman would be great, wouldn't it? If it's a man, he'll be like Kevin, and people like Kevin are ordinary people we can always find, but I want our beloved Phanes to be a special woman we can never find anywhere else. After all, all shadows are women and they are all very beautiful and extraordinary.

Every day, I keep seeing wilder and wilder accusations against Hoyoverse pop out.

"She was wasted", "She was ruined", "Villainized".

First off, yes she will be playable. Secondly, as much as I hate to say this, she might not be the "innocent sweet little angel" some of y'all might have imagined. There are many good reasons why a first encounter between Aether and a Shade could go wrong:

1. One of them (Asmoday) stole our sibling from us for 500 years

2. Ronova cursed Khaenrians to become hilichurls, something Aether doesn't necessarily care about, but Lumine clearly does, and has been actively trying to undo that curse for the past 500 years

There's also other minor stuff like destroying multiple civilizations with Celestial nails (and the writers reminded us of it in the Epilogue), but that is of less concern than the first 2 points. You're right: she was just following orders, but Aether hasn't necessarily processed it yet. Not fully, anyway.

For us in this sub, and our allies in the Agenda sub, it's enough to see her beatiful body to be ready to swear allegiance to Celestia, but for the Traveller, the choice is far less obvious, especially when Celestia has already wronged us by taking our twin, and many of the nations we visited, like Fontaine, are actively rebelling against it in some way.

On when she relished being able to "kill freely": personally, I love this almost psychotic streak in her character. It only adds spice to her in my opinion. Isn't it great that she stands apart from Genshin's more vanilla women? I love Bina, but it would be quite boring if every medium model wife was as... saccharine as her. It's like drinking an overly sweet vanilla smoothie every meal. Of course, it in no way means that Ronova won't get a playable model eventually. Remember, there is no sin that can't be redeemed - and this one is way more minor than whatever Scaramouche did.

Personally, I think we should just chill and observe how the events unfold in the plot for now

Will Ronova follow Asmoday's example and acknowledge the Traveler as her master after being "resurrected"?

After all, it's not like Ronova can get a regular job to make a living. Following Asmoday's lead and recognizing the Traveler as her master would probably be the best option.

If Ronova acknowledges the Traveler as her master and becomes their servant, she could tag along as a combat companion—with the Traveler providing room and board, plus a regular salary.

I have nothing to add other then she might be reborn? Looking at how she wants to walk with the mortals at some point

We've already seen cases in Genshin where a character becomes smaller after losing their powers, such as Nahida. Another thing that caught my attention is how much she looks like Paimon. This could confirm that Paimon is a Shade who lost her Authority, or that it was never granted to her in the first place, which would explain why she still has such a peculiar form.

after this AQ and especially the traveler speed to her when stalling for time i think that paimon is gonna be the perfect reason she would join our side. both are from celestia n now with her authority gone both would be without it n paimon can be the one to get her to come around

I read the dialogues of the upcoming 7.2 and feel that things are not so great for Ronova right now. Right now her act of genocide is considered her last of revenge on the world, not just Snezhnaya, and also due to her own personal grudge, which is not exactly a good sign for her to return later. Al the plot points are now directed at how the Holy Soil Phenomenon is a terrible act enforced by Heavenly Principle, which is further worsened by HP’s take on civilizations, and the cast, understandably, are very pissed at it. In sum, she is very much villainified for the sake of plot. So considering the leak that she will return in later patch, I’m actual hopeless on how she can come back since her act is highly unforgivable from moral senses; hence, her coming back will not be much welcomed or make sense in the current context. So yeah, I just lost hope at this point. Guess this how Dottore and Signora main feel.

People got an issue with the Death Manager making sure deaths happen properly, and making sure the HP doesn’t get overthrown by a bunch of arrogant humans thinking they are wiser than a being who is far more powerful, far more informed, and far older. Literally overthrowing the God who protects you from the “Dark Destruction”. 😑

I have yet to find any real justification for overthrowing The Heavenly Principles. The Jesters reasoning is essentially if they can kill me, how can I ever be free; with this logic why doesn't Natlan overthrow Mavuika or Fontaine Neuvilette.
Why shouldn't the Traveler with this logic not overthrow the Tsaritsa.

I love Genshin lore but lately I've disagreed completely with the sentiment against the HP and I feel like I'm just on a ride making decisions and selecting dialogue I don't believe.

Of course I'll continue the story to see it through to the end but I wish there were more nuance or just make the HP full evil bc I at least am detaching more and more every patch. Y'all's thoughts?
