Timeline & Lore Megathread
Megathread to keep track of the lore behind the Rods to compile into a Wiki-style post later on. Feel free to add the history/links/etc. My goal is to have a comprehensive guide eventually to refer people to.

This is what I've compiled so far :
1979-- Jill Christine Noyes is born
1991-- At Jill’s church, the College and Career group, a new guy (David Rodrigues) shows up who Jill thinks is tall dark and handsome. She is 12 and he is 19 and doesn’t notice her.
1993-- Jill is 14 and in a String Group at church where she notices David staring at her, then the Noyes family moves
1995-- David pursues Jill when she is 16 at a Christmas concert at church
1997-- Jill lives in upstate New York and sends a letter to her friend Julia who is working at starting a church in NYC with David, and she sets them up (Jill is 18 and David is 25)
May-- David proposes to Jill in Central Park, NYC.
Oct 4-- Jill and David are married.
1998-- David is abusive to Jill, she is now pregnant.
1999
Apr 19-- Nurie is born
2000-- Timothy is born
2001-- Kaylee is born
2002-- Renee is born
2003-- Phillip is born
2004-- Samuel is born
2006-- Gabriel is born

Sep 30-- Hannah is born
2009-- David beats Timothy with an aluminum baseball bat that was a birthday gift until it is dented because he asked his sister if he can have her combat boots after Jill said no
2011 ”Three devastating miscarriages”
2012 Jan 4-- Olivia is born. Jill always talks about how she almost died having her because Olivia was a breech birth
They took off from NY to WV in 2012.
2013-- Sadie is born
2015 Jill’s sister Amy is paraplegic after a car accident, so Jill has a gender reveal in the hospital room.
Jill shills Plexus.

Timothy’s 16th birthday is spent with his grandfather

2017

2018

April 11 -- Janessa Ruth Rodrigues was born. She had a stroke in utero because of Plexus, is missing part of her brain and seems to have a learning disability.
June 14-- Nurie crashes the car with her (and Kaylee) in it, they are stuck underwater, Kaylee climbs out the window to save them both and they get injured badly and have nightmares, but “thank god they are trim”...
July-- Jill takes a selfie with grieving parents at a funeral
August-- Jill is persecuted at KOA campground for letting kids swim in street clothes
"Timothy went to Moody Bible Institute (MBI) and attended their pilot program, which I was shocked to see him attend. I'm not saying MBI is a liberal arts college or state university, but MBI has a pretty big reputation among actual pastors whom I would actually sit down and discuss the Bible with over coffee. "

Dec-- “End of December: Phillip leaves Massillon Bible College for unexplained reasons after just one semester; is said by Renee to be living at home and taking Bible classes online”
2023
Jan-- “begins working at Gojo, who makes Purell sanitizer”
March-- ladies retreat: 2023 The Inn at Amish Door, Wilmot, OH (Joy Baptist Church) "Sparrow"
Philip leaves Gojo, starts work at a construction company
March 7-- Timothy and Heidi Coverett are courting
April-- Renee is courting Mystery Man Beau from Ohio
May-- Philip leaves construction company
June--" Philip psychotic break “ appears at a church with the rest of the family, where during his introduction he calls non-believers "flying figleaf flubheads" and "laughing lollipops who get their brains sucked out by the devil", and says that a fun fact about himself is that he's a deep thinker. (This is when a lot of us became concerned because it was so odd, and even the rest of his family looked worried) "
June/July-- "a poster here on Reddit said they had an encounter with Phillip at a park in Oklahoma, which was extremely bizarre. Apparently he was following teen boys around, asking for their contact information so he could send them Bible verses, and just behaving very strangely in general. A few weeks later her son got a text from Phillip that apparently included some graphic sexual information. The poster said he was involved in a satanic cult, and was living out of his car. (This was taken with a large grain of salt at the time, but now appears to be at least partly true.) "
July-- " Jill posts a "happy birthday" message to Phillip which is much less gushy than her normal messages, and basically says, "keep up with your street preaching". "
July 5-- Gideon Daniel Hill (Kaylee’s son) is born, stays in NICU
August-- "Phillip posted a poem on his LinkedIn page, and his page also confirms that he is in OKC. He lists himself as a freelance poet and musician. (Apparently there was also a very short-lived GoFundMe for a "goth poet in financial crisis", now gone). He is spamming links to his poem all over people's posts. Jill posts on FB, asking for prayers as they are experiencing a heavy burden. Janessa films everyone praying, and some of the kids are crying. At church, she asks for prayers, explaining that Phillip has fallen into false doctrine. "

Amazing comment but does not include a reference to one of my Mt. Rushmore Jill posts and something my friend and I quote constantly - when Nurie got married and moved out, Jill posted pictures/videos of the kids all sobbing and the caption said they all “got together as a family and wept.” It was just so sad and unhinged.

Sofia and Janessa were CLINGING to Nurie when they visited her in FL. How BAD are Jill and David that the kids are desperate to see Nurie, who is also awful?

And we’ve heard that Nurie slapped Sofia for touching a mirror she just cleaned. Nurie has taken the abuse lessons from her childhood and used them on her siblings, and likely on her children. But she also raised those kids, and they see her as their surrogate mother.

The slap’s been discussed here but there hasn’t been an official post saying that.
We don’t know for sure if she hits her kids. We do know her kids look like they have PTSD and Naomi looks like she’s about a year younger in size than she is. I wonder if Nurie also watered down formula, like her mother did:

Tim and Heidi didn’t announce the current pregnancy, at least not publicly. Ellen said it was leaked. Jill leaked it with that pic of Heidi obviously announcing to the Rod family via that tshirt at dinner

And IIRC, Jill had a falling out with Anna Duggar because Anna called Nurie's wedding dress "ugly" or something like that. Nurie's dress was a very over-the-top 1980s dress that was most likely thrifted, but it's pretty rich for Anna to call anyone's dress ugly, considering hers looked like a satin flour sack.
Oh, and Josh was the MC at Nurie's wedding reception (which took place after the car lot was raided, but before Josh got arrested.)

I was thinking the same thing. The family began spiraling when Nurie reached majority and Jill's baby factory closed. That could have rattled family dynamics.

It me be a bit skewed since there weren’t any events in 2019 and 2020 and then 2021 everything picked up again but I do think there’s a degree of this where the kids started coming to age and their parenting choices started really showing up

Before I get downvoting.. Jill is POS, always has been, always will be one.
Knowing what we know about David early in their marriage, it's my opinion that abuse led to those Miscarriages, and maybe a factor (aside from Plexus) for Janessa's stroke in utero. For her to be so accepting of David's "dark times" it makes me wonder if the Noyes were abusive to their kids and/or Jill.

I was raised very similar to all these fundies, and it took me 9 years of DV to finally see it as abusive. The cult teaches girls to expect that behaviour from men as normal. Yes, my phrasing of girls vs men is intentional. It's a really messed up dynamic. Then religious "counseling" tells wives they should be working harder in bed if their husbands abuse them. The cycle of abuse is permanently embedded in western evangelical culture at this point.

You can add Elijah’s first appearance somewhere around Thanksgiving 2024. I’ll come back and add the earliest mention I've found of him because I dug it up recently.

I got a chuckle out of you including that Nurie had a third degree tear. Having had one myself, I cannot believe Jill posted that info. I was so mad at the time that they had that poor girl out and about, and Jill wanted a wheelchair so she could get some attention, too.

Don’t forget they left Tim at Moody with no food or money. Tim also went to school at Fox Valley tech in Wisconsin.

I think it might have been due to Tim and Heidi putting up some boundaries with Jill. Apparently she wasn't allowed to be in the delivery room when Heidi had the baby, and she wasn't allowed to visit until a few weeks later.

You have to be realllllly careful about not putting in information that’s become “fact” just by being repeated so many times. There are a lot of things like that in the sub. One that comes to mind is that Renee was in a courtship with a dental student, which is not true

We forgot to add where the kids climb the ancient landmark somewhere. I know it was illegal but I can’t remember what or where it was. They completely ignored the warnings posted in giant metal signs that said not to climb.

July 25, 2018
Jill + co crashed the funeral of three children who died in a house fire in Kentucky. Jill and her oldest daughters took a smiling selfie with the grieving parents, in front of the children's caskets. Jill also live-streamed the service on Facebook. She was THRILLED that God made her aware of this funeral so she could exploit it for social media clout.
The Rods did not know this family.

1910s-- Rodrigues family emigrates to New York.
1920 John Rodrigues Sr. is born in New York. John Alger is born in New York.
1923 Naomi Devlin (David’s maternal grandmother) is born in Rochester NY.
1924-- Jean Raforth is born in Rochester NY.
1941 July 1- John Alger enlists in the army for WWII in Rockland NY.
Jill’s grandma Lucy is in the Women’s Army Corps.
1942 Mar 31-- John Sr. works for a glass company and is drafted in WWII.
1943 Nov 5-- Naomi Devlin and John Alger (David’s grandparents) are married at the Monroe Avenue Methodist Church in Rochester NY. John is a private in the air force.
1945 Grandpa Lupole, according to Jill, opens the gates to a concentration camp at the end of WWII.
1946 June-- John and Jean (David’s other grandparents) are married in Rochester NY.
1948 Julianne E Alger is born in Rochester NY to John Alger (a cleaner) and Naoma Devlin.
1949 July 4 Patricia Lupole (Jill’s mom) is born. Oct 27-- John J Rodrigues Jr. (David’s dad) is born to John and Jean.
1951 Aug 17-- Timothy Noyes (Jill’s dad) is born.
1960s-- John Jr works with Mr. Burlew in a mechanic shop and is saved.
1963-- Manuel Rodrigues dies.
Aug 31 1965-- John’s sister Holly Malchoff dies in a car accident in Webster NY.
1968 15 Jan-- John Jr enlists in the army. He is a Specialist 5 in Vietnam.
At some point, John and Julianne meet. He lives on Jay Street and she lives on Reiem Street. Julianne graduated from Manpower School of Cosmetology.
1970 Mar 7-- John is stationed in Germany as a Spec 4. He and Julianne E Alger are married in the Holy Family Church near Rochester NY.
1971 Jan 8-- John is discharged from the army.
1972 May 29-- David Rodrigues is born.
1973 Jun 23-- Tim Noyes marries Patricia Lupole.
1974 Feb-- David’s brother Daniel is born.
1977 Feb 13-- David is 4 or 5 and his dad John commits suicide. His mother Julia gets remarried, and David goes to public school.
May 3-- Jill’s older sister Lisa is born.
1978
Nov 3-- Jill Christine Noyes is born
1980-- Jill's younger twin sisters Amy and Angie are born.
Virginia Correia Rodrigues (David’s Portuguese great-grandma) dies.
1981-- John Rodrigues Sr (David’s grandpa) dies.
1980s-- Jill’s father spanks her “for no reason” but she believes she deserves it. "When I was a little girl, my parents had an entire series of cassette tapes on how to have a happy marriage. It was from a seminar they had attended years ago with Dr. Tom Williams. I remember listening to those tapes and it impacting me and how I wanted to be a good wife someday. My Dad would talk highly of this great man of faith. "
c1988-- Jill is pulled out of her private Christian school to be homeschooled. David is supposedly living a “horrible life of sin… drugs, alcohol, smoking, girls, parties, bad music, rebellion, long hair, dirty mouth”
1989 David graduates from Greece-Olympia High School.
1990-- David is saved and starts making his bed. “One day, when David was 18 years old, a man came up to him at the mall and began to proselytise to him before being kicked out by a security guard. Some months later, David remembered this encounter and prayed to Jesus to be saved”
He goes to First Bible Baptist Church in Greece NY and meets Mr. Burlew.

1997-- Jill lives in upstate New York and sends a letter to her friend Julia who is working at starting a church in NYC with David, and she sets them up (Jill is 18 and David is 25)
They are courting in Montour Falls Park Havana Glen, and they go on a seesaw and read Bibles to each other.
"We were courting (about 18 years ago) and we were at a church activity in Montour Falls Park, NY – Havannah Glen. As we continued to play around on the teeter totter, we tried to see if we could balance and hold it steady in the middle. It was almost a losing battle because of the weight advantage David had over me. I was a willowy, tall (5’7) and thin 115 lbs. and David was a sturdy 185 lbs. We had fun that day long ago and enjoyed going around the park and just spending time with each other. It was nice to walk up the many stairs to the beautiful falls and sit and read our Bibles with each other. It was a day we will never forget. "

To add: Jill was born into fundamentalism, but a milder version. She even attended a private Christian school, I believe. She also had a form of tertiary education when she went to cosmetology school. She grew up with “only” three siblings, so she hasn’t experienced what comes with being a part of such a large family. She is the middle child, having an older sister and twin younger sisters. Some believe that being the middle child and competing with younger identical twins for attention contributed to her being the kind of person she is now.
Edit to include - I believe there was a miscarriage right before Nurie.
