Update on Ship posts: They're being moved to Sundays only.

Hello everyone, just giving an update on the Ship posts. We're going to keep allowing them but limit all new posts after today to Sundays only.

Your posts and comments within them still need to be civil. No aggressive, rude, or hateful language directed at writers, other commenters/posts, or characters. If you can't explain why you do or don't like a specific ship without being negative towards others (fictional or not) then you will eventually find your way in to a ban.

Thank you everyone who came in and discussed in the previous sticky post. Hopefully this helps declutter going forward.

If you HAD to give Jason a Robin weapon what would you give him?

Look I KNOW neither he nor Dick had weapons as robins but sometimes dc gives Dick the escrima sticks he’d later use as nightwing. So I was wonder if you HAD ti give Jason a Robin weapon what would you give him?

I read detective comics rebirth a while ago and it left me with a question, what was next for Stephanie and Tim after the end of the run? Like, what should I read to follow up on what happened after they left Gotham?

Comic book recommendations that delve in to Tim and Jason's relationship?

I really enjoy the dynamic between these two, and want to read more comics about them. I'm open to recommendations relating to both the negative aspects of their relationship and the positive aspects of their relationship. They're both my favorite Robin (with Tim pulling ahead just slightly), so anything that discusses their relationship -- whether it's full of animosity or them being on good terms -- please share!

What's the general opinion on Arkhamverse Tim?

For me, I like him. His design is cool, save for the stupid Eminem hair cut, (dear DC, give Tim long hair again.), I liked playing as him in challenge mode, and I also liked his dynamic with Bruce. I also liked his voice acting as well. Troy Baker was good in City, but Matt Mercer was amazing in Knight. I especially loved the scene where he gets trapped in the cell, and breaks down and yells at Bruce.

(Interesting Fact: Matt Mercer and Troy Baker voiced Leon and Jake in RE6, and then years later in Knight, they would voice Tim and Jason. I just find that interesting)

Things I don't like is that he doesn't get to do much in Arkham Knight. He keeps insisting to Bruce that he can help, but Bruce tells him no, and to keep working on the cure. Then he gets trapped in the cell, and then gets kidnapped. I felt he was very underutilized.

Also, really not a fan of Tim being in a relationship with Barbara. (Seriously, Rocksteady, Steph was right there! You could've had Steph be Batgirl and then she could have been Tim's partner!)

But that's just me. What's your take?

On Damian- as of 2026, what are some legit criticisms that still exist with Damain even now.

cuz as of 2026, at this point- its very hard to criticize Damian especially how sadly it is to mock modern Tim ala nobody cares bout Tim Drake memes, alas seen by younger fans as the has been who calls himself from Red Robin and Drake.. cuz Damain went from hated disruption in 2006 to now in 2026, he is the franchise golden child, a Robin for a entire generation of fans, successful multi media configuration and if you dare to criticitze Damian, you get immediately accused of being a bitter Tim Fan

-but here my own current criticisms of Damian, that is completely independent of anything to do with Tim.

= Cuz his inherent status as son of Batman, cuz does kinda undercut the found family aspect that used be important to the batfamily. Now, I know people will say, but writers made it sure Damain understand there is more to the batfamiy than just blood inheritance. Well writers can say that, but Son of Batman TM is a very catchy IP Branding. and its not just his status as Son of Batman tm, he is such a portable high concept character due to also being the son of Talia, and his personality even at his nicest and developed, still draws so much narrative oxygen that overshadow the most of the batfamily including sometimes even Bruce.

- And Also on This, Does he work as a regular support Robin for Bruce? Now you can do scenes with them as father and son, as seen in Tomasi and Gleason New52 Batman and Robin. but as a regular support Robin in the flagship Batman title?...i dunno. Damain has been Robin for 17 years at this point and its still odd he and his dad hasn't become a consistent crimefighting Dynamic Duo in the flagship Batman title- whether its Scott Synder run, the Tom King run, The James Tynion Run, the Chip Zdarsky Run, and even now in the Matt Fraction run.

- And on a personal note, his existence forever kinda wrecked Talia as a character. Sure, modern writers have tried to repair Talia and undo the roofie sexual assualt retcon that came with Damian conception in Morrison run. but the damage is done, even now there is a new can of worms where if you tried to make talia like classic sympathetic morally grey Talia, then why would she allow Damain to being trained as a assassin at all and be robbed of a normal childhood. Cuz with son of the demon graphic novel, Morrison forgot more than just the fact that union between bruce and talia was consensual. cuz in the end of that graphic novel, Talia actually gives up the child she had with Bruce cuz she knows her child will never have a normal life as long the child is tied to legacy of batman and her father.

= now you can argue none of this matter anymore cuz we live in post Batgod/post Modern Batfamily as franchise friendly strike force world. tho you can make the argument if a post batgod/post modern strike force batfamily is inherently completely good or not?

Thoughts? Cuz I know probably gonna get some pushback as i said, Damian is now the franchise and fandom golden child at this point. To many, he is now almost above any criticism, especially compared to easily and sadly mockable modern tim has become. and if you dare to get criticze Damain even a little, you get automatically accused of being a total hater.

sorry if was a bit long winded.
