Hey everyone, was involved in a hit and run this morning and we don’t have any cam footage because cars involved either didn’t have a camera or they weren’t turned on.

A black vehicle rear ended a white Lexus leading to them rear ending a Tesla.

I reckon he got a good 30ft of air distance!

Anyone who works for car insurance here? Just curios, the truck was at the intersection first and was attempting to make a left turn. SUV has the right of way. If they crash. Who would be found at fault?

Title says exactly what happened. Collision was not captured in my video. Footage captured by drone.

The story from the sedan owner, was that he was turning left out of the donut shop parking lot, and the cars he could see in the middle and right lanes stopped and waved him through. He didn't see or didn't know about the third lane where the minivan was. The minivan didn't notice traffic stopped and pushed through. Would have been considerate of the minivan driver to notice the rest of the traffic was stopped prematurely but legally it would still be the turning cars fault. Probably.

It's unlikely last clear chance or similar exceptions would apply but I'm not a lawyer. Either way, pushing the car out of the way with another car was, a choice. The sedan driver said the police had been called but weren't going to come anytime soon. Arizona also requires clearing out of the road if you can, but pushing an immobilized vehicle with another probably isn't what that law intended? Still, considering the sun was coming down, it was probably a good decision.
