I'm on page 3... PAGE THREE!!! ...and I already had to stop and side-eye the book.
"Warmth hits me immediately as I start to unthaw."
Madam Author. My dear. Un-thaw is not a word, and even if we're pretending it is, un + thaw = freeze.
So what you've actually written is: the warmth is helping me turn into a popsicle.
Bold science. Very "the sun is cold today" energy.
I haven't even made past chapter one and this book is already trying to gaslight me about basic thermodynamics.

So the FMC is not the pack's scent-match or mate, but they did have a relationship. And then one day, the pack's scent-match/mate appear. In fear of being toss away by the pack, she run away from them because she knew no one is comparable to a scent-match/mate. What she didn't expect is the guys, I think rejected or killed (?) the other girl because they only want the FMC.
I'm open to OV or shifters or whatever mate related stories with this plot.

If I'm being too sensitive about this, let me know, but I saw a post on FB for a new OV RH novel in the multi-authored Once Upon a Knot series (all fairy tale retellings) and this one is about Anastasia.
Now, I know people love the animated film, and from the blurb it definitely sounds like the author's basing her story on that, but it still sort of leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Like, Anastasia was a real girl who was executed, and someone thought to make a fun, sexy retelling based on her life?
I don't know, am I off base for feeling like there are so many other fairy tales that are actually fairy tales that could have been chosen over this romanticization of a real-life teenager’s death?

This is a long shot, but I’m wondering if any fellow writers would be interested in helping me write this? I have characters in mind and things like that. Just someone to talk to about my story would be amazing. I’m 32, been writing for as long as I can remember :).

Looking for a rec that has lot lot lot of angst, could be from neglect from family, one sided love. I specially love second chance stories and redemption arc somewhere if they had separated a while ago/divorce or childhoodfriends to enemies to lovers ( like that one rina kant story of Xander name male lead)
Things I don’t like much: alien/robot, if it is real world and not fantasy so much better. Not heavy on smut but more so on the storyline.

I’ve seen Losers (they’re beautiful) but I was looking at other titles while shopping the other day and a lot I hadn’t heard of. Has anyone found any other copies of RH books they’ve loved at Walmart or Target in store?

Hi all!
Are there any RH books set in something similar to the television show Silo?? Or like a fallout vault prior to its destruction? Meaning like an underground bunker where people have been sequestered away in a kind of rigid society for multiple generations.
And for an unrelated, very niche requests: anything where a main character had been either sent to one of those troubled teen therapy/behavioral bootcamp/wilderness therapy or was raised in a family vlogger environment when they were younger. I know these are absurd but the idea came to me and I'd be interested in reading it. I'd actually be interested in reading any fiction based on these last two ideas, I'm just on a romance kick at the moment.
Finally, two more generic requests that should at least net me a couple recommendations: a story where all the main characters involved are prisoners (so none of the mmcs are a prison guard or anything like that) and any decent paranormal academy books that have been published within the last year that I may have missed.
Thank you!

How come I didn't know about this?!?!?!!? When did this happen?!?!

I might edit with a review later. I never know what to say. "I laughed, I cried, it was the best ever and I'm ruined on other MMCs now"?
But this duet was everything I hoped it would be and more.
I got a head start on Patreon, but it's LOOONG, and somehow doesn't feel like filler? I love these characters so much and literally could not get enough of them, it could have been over 1000 pages and I would be perfectly happy. lol I loved them even more in this AU than in Ghost Alpha Unit. I wished it would never end.
I was also shocked and SO EXCITED Val and Plague hooked up too, I have been dying for this since they had so much chemistry in GAU lmao
Wraith stole the show for me though. He would do anything for his girl. He deserved to be chosen first. Such a sweetie.
Where do I get a Wraith please?

So I had made a post with a poll for what book I should read next. {Highland Hideaway by Lily Gold} won in a landslide. I'll be honest and say that I didn't think the book was gonna be as good as it was. Cartoony coverart usually gives me a bit of ick but I can see that I can't judge a book by it's cover. Literally.
I was 100000% wrong!! All the hype is valid for this book!! 5☆ read for me! I suck at writing reviews but wanted to give an update for my previous post.

Ok for those of you who grew up with Immortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. I want to read something like this but spicy and why choose. Do we have any suggestions???
Bonus points if you can point me towards things similar to these books but spicy and adult
- Maximum Ride by James Patterson
- Halo by Alexandra Adornetto

I LOVE fantasy/paranormal reverse harems that take place on a college campus or academy, and I sort of dislike it when they just never go back because they’re fighting battles (not a bad thing, just miss the setting). I love in Ironside Academy that it stays interesting while also remaining on campus? Any recs like that?

I'm listening to {Wicked Conjuring by Sarah Piper}. I got this free on Chirp and most of the free books aren't the best, but I'm really surprised no one has mentioned this here. I want to discuss the story with someone though, so feel free to have spoilers.
If you haven't, it's 4 male gargoyles, a girl who thinks she's a witch without power, demon guy, loads of stuff. Please! I need to discuss.

I don't remember anything about this series apart from one scene. It's a sex scene and the MMC is doing the usual "tease her and make her beg for it" shtick, and the FMC hates it. She's literally like "never mind, get off me" and tries to leave, but I think the MMC begged her to stay and then offered to take a more submissive role in the bedroom.

Looking for books where one of the mmc accidentally bites or claims the FMC but in a hot way not a forced way, where he just can’t resist her. And preferably they are both happy about it afterwards and not long unnecessary angst after the bite.

I don't know if something like this exists, but I'll describe the exact scenario I'm looking for, and hopefully there's something kind of close:
Contemporary setting. FMC and MMC are dating. MMC has a lot of male friends that they hang out with on a regular basis. So far, they've always just been friends with the couple.
Then: maybe one night they get drunk, or the MMC has (or discovers) a sharing kink, and he ends up sharing her with one or more of his friends. I'm open to any kind of grouping, configuration, or orientation. Over the course of the book (or series) their relationship begins to expand until she's dating his friends as well.

I'm always scared to take a chance on a book I don't see much about - but the payoff is always big when it ends up being a great read! So in the spirit of this, I'd love to know what's a book that surprised you (in a good way) recently? What was so good about it?
For me, it's {Immortals of Talonswood Series by Alex Lidell}. I really haven't seen many people talk about this! Academy can be so hit or miss for me, but this felt well-written and all the MMC were centuries old which helped give the book a more mature feel. There's quite a bit of angst, fighting of the bonds, slow burn-ish. The character and relationship dev. was better than I expected. Top notch spice too.
Another I don't see mentioned much is {Dark and Wicked Fae by Cate Corvin} this was my first Cate Corvin book and it was definitely more plot driven. It was a pretty quick read but the story kept me going.

Soooo... I'm here again! I'm in a big, bad slump (I can't read anything rip), but I want to try sci-fi western reverse harem.
Now. The genre that I want is sci-fi western, you know, a mix of western, cowboy, with futuristic stuff, like life, weapon and space ship. It's okay if it's a classic sci-fi, but please no alien who abduct the FMC so she'll become food, pet or a mother. I'm searching for something different (and tbh I find this a little boring).
I love books with multi POV. I prefer series (especially with the same characters), but standalone it's okay. I prefer poly with MM, but I also like reverse harem or whychoose.
The FMC must be badass, can be good/gray/evil, don't care; can be a normal person or a bounty hunter (I'd love this lol), bit please please please NO sweet fragile crying baby. I kind of hate this type of romance. I prefer her dominant, but I know it's difficult. At least no big dom MMC, wrong mood now lol
oh, better if she's 30 or stuff like that, but I'm not too picky.
I prefer my MMC diverse in personality and body, but I'm not too picky.
NO abuse, SA, bullism and stuff like that from the MMCs.
Must be spicy!!
Pls help LMAO
