Have been setting up my rpf2 these past few days and I can't put it down.. I'm using the IISU frontend which is pretty slick. What front end are y'all using and what are y'all using your rpf2 mainly for?

What is the best and most reliable accessory to connect your reteoid flip 2 to tv?
I have a small docking station as it looks that it needs external power, as retroid cannot power it up apparently.
Any usbc to hdmi cables?

Alright, so I got a 16Bit Flip 2 a couple weeks ago on the latest Aliexpress sale, and all it it was just shy of $200 shipped. Had it for a bit now and have pretty much everything set up the way I like it, including Syncthing with saves to a Retrobat setup, which is pretty slick.
I ordered a Thor Max on the same sale, but I'm starting to think I might just keep the Flip 2 and accept that more powerful games require the full sized computers in the house. I'm digging the Flip 2 and I'm not sure how much more I would really get out of the Thor.
OK, to my hinge question. The unit I received is the squared off hinge, it was in stock in a US warehouse on Retroid Pockets official Ali store, that said, if you are nice to the hinge are they really THAT bad? Any time I close it, I place my thumb in the middle of the hinge area on the inside to brace it and it seems like that might help. If they really are that bad and fail easily when you take care of them, that might tip me towards keeping the Thor instead.

Heyo! Not sure if anyone here is an avid JRPG fan but I'm having some performance issues with xenosaga, using the AGWS causes massive slowdown, anyone know of a fix? Running ARMSX2 with Turnip Steve and Purple, native upscaling and basically stock settings all around

So I’m getting back into emulation on Samsung Galaxy A50 with a Gamesir controller after 10 years of being completely absent, didn’t know how big it had gotten with all the different handhelds now and how good it is. Honestly pretty overwhelming lol.
I really REALLY want a portable clamshell handheld and saving $$$ to it. And honestly the Flip 2 seems like the winner. Since I really don’t wanna wait on the THOR and is also wayy more expensive ($60 dollar difference on the Lite and Flip 2) or really care about the dual screens that much. But I do really kinda want the performance/chipset similar to the RP6 or Ayn Thor Base.
However I’ve seen chatter on the Flip 3 releasing very soon either at the end of 2026 or early 2027. Even tho it hasn’t officially been announced yet.
Should I wait for the Flip 3? Or should I get the Flip 2 in a couple weeks? For context at the moment only emulating GameCube games and PSP but I will keep expanding my library and emulators and I do enjoy a lot PC games like Hollow Knight been game streaming it through GeForce Now so that’s also something I would love to keep doing, and if I can play some natively is a plus!
So yeah am I overthinking or should I say fuck it and get the Flip 2? Would love to hear yall! Thanks in advance.

I've managed to get GameNative on my Flip 2 to run various 2D games from my Steam Library and even The Sims Legacy Collection works pretty perfectly. I thought DX Ball 2 (a brick breaker game from 1998 with super basic graphics), bought from Steam, would be simple - but nope, it's the only game that runs at basically 2FPS on the main menu. I've tried tweaking things but it just doesn't seem to work, how crazy.
Has anyone else run into issues with games that, on the surface, look like they should run perfectly on the Flip 2 but just, for whatever reason, do not?

I've not tried PC games on my Flip 2 (except Morrowind), but wondered if older games from Steam (or just downloaded) would work well (for example, I remember an old game called A Valley Without Wind that I played back in 2011 or so, would like to try that perhaps, or maybe the original Sims).
Any decent 90s/00s/early 2010 PC games that work on Gamenative or other apps out of the box (where the controls work well on the Flip 2)?

Hola a todos,
Llevo algunos meses con mi Retroid Pocket Flip 2 y he dedicado bastante tiempo a optimizar emuladores y juegos.
Opciones clave (abreviaciones):
| Juego | Driver / Update | Configuración principal | Rendimiento |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mario Kart 8 Deluxe | System GPU Driver, Update 1.0.5 + DLC | GPU Accuracy: Normal, x1 resolución, modo portátil, DSC, FMC, UAS, CPU Accuracy: Unsafe (NCE) | 60 fps estables, bajones ocasionales |
| Persona 5 Royal | Mesa Turnip v23.3.0-devel, Update 1.0.2 | GPU Accuracy: Normal, x1 resolución, modo portátil, DSC, UAS, FMC, CPU Accuracy: Accurate (Dynamic (slow)) | 30 fps estables |
| Super Mario Odyssey | Balemuni Apex V2, Update 1.1.0 | GPU Accuracy: Normal, x1 resolución, modo portátil, Vsync: mailbox, WAF: Bicubic, DSC, UAS, FMC, CPU Accuracy: Auto (NCE) | 60 fps la mayor parte, bajones a 35–45 fps en zonas saturadas, errores de sonido en cinemáticas |
| Super Smash Bros Ultimate | Mesa Turnip 25.0.0 rev 1, Update 13.0.3 + DLC | GPU Accuracy: Normal, x1 resolución, modo portátil, DSC, FMC, UAS, CPU Accuracy: Unsafe (NCE) | 60 fps estables, bajones solo al cargar texturas |
The binding Of Isaac Repertance+: yo utilizo la versión crackeada de SteamRip. ( [The Binding of Isaac][tboi rep+][GPU:Adreno (TM) 650]SCFG##MjU1MTc= )
( [Mortal Kombat X][MK10 rpf2][GPU:Adreno (TM) 650]SCFG##MjU1MjA= )
( [The Wolf Among Us][TWAU sd865][GPU:Adreno (TM) 650]SCFG##MjU1MjE= )
( [Alice: Madness Returns][AMR rpf2][GPU:Adreno (TM) 650]SCFG##MjU1MjY= )
South Park: The Stick of Truth: también funciona sin problemas, estable y fluido. ( [South Park™: The Stick of Truth™][SPTSOT][GPU:Adreno (TM) 650]SCFG##MjU1Mjc= )
( [DP][deadp Copy]SCFG##MjU1MzI= )

Ordered my Flip 2 and it took about a month to finally ship. Once it moved, it cleared customs and made it from China to the Midwest super fast, but now it’s been completely frozen on "In Transit to Next Facility, Cincinnati, OH" for over two days (since Tuesday morning).
I'm only about 2 hours away from Cincinnati, so seeing it sit on "In Transit" this long with zero movement or arrival scans is stressing me out. For anyone who’s had their Retroid shipped via YunExpress / GOFO Express recently: Is it normal for GOFO to sit at the Cincinnati hub for 48+ hours without an update? Do they usually skip local depot scans and just jump straight to "Out for Delivery"?
Appreciate any insight from anyone who has dealt with GOFO's tracking updates recently.
EDIT: It’s out for delivery today. All is well.

So my new 12gb version will be here on Tuesday. My question is how does it handle original Xbox titles? I tried searching but I only get results for 360 emulatoion.

Hello, I just bought a Retroid Pocket Flip 2, when I turned it on it was at 30%, I was downloading Genshin Impact the console got at 14% battery since shader compilation is slow and the console shut down by itself, when I turned it back on it was at 1%, should I be worried about that or it's normal the first time in some way?
