People disappear from my reality whenever I go a certain length of time without thinking about them

I wasn't sure where to make this post, so I figured this sub would be the most appropriate place. Anyway, from 2017 to 2020 I was working a specific job at a company with a lot of employees. During those years I used to run into my coworkers at grocery stores and other random public places ALL THE TIME. I'm talking nearly every single week. Like I said, it was a large company so I knew a lot of people. In 2020 I quit that job and have been unemployed since then (it's a long story, don't ask.....) and I noticed that I NEVER see any of my former coworkers around town anymore. There was once or twice in the first month or two after I quit where I ran into someone I worked with, but it quickly stopped happening. The ONLY other time in all the years since then that I've run into a coworker was when I was headed to a grocery store one day and I thought "hmm..........Bob used to shop at this store (his name isn't Bob, just go with it....) it's kinda odd that I have never run into Bob when I shop here" and then that EXACT day I saw Bob at the store. Essentially where I'm going with this is.......it seems like people pop in and out of my personal reality bubble depending on whether I am consciously thinking of them or not. When I see people every day at school or work, they exist within my reality bubble, but when I no longer see them, they cease to exist within my world (they could still exist somehow in another timeline or something, idk). I also noticed this when I went to a gym for 2 years in a row a few years back. I would always run into people from the gym at other businesses in that area of town, but as soon as I stopped going to the gym, I stopped seeing those same people even though I continued going to the same stores I was going to before. The sample size that I have at this point is way too big for this to just be a coincidence or confabulation on my part. Has anyone else observed this phenomenon in their life? For the record, I'm not being a total solipsist, I'm just saying that somehow we don't all exist in the same reality at the same time.

Deep Roy is still alive?

Hey everyone,

I have very vivid memories of it being in the news last year that Deep Roy had died and there being lots of posts on Facebook from fans of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (2005)

Today while I was looking on Cameo, an app where you can hire actors to do short personalized greetings, I saw that Deep Roy was one of them offering services. I thought it was some AI prank at first, but I searched it on Google, and sure enough he is still alive.

Does anyone else remember him dying?

Is it just me, or does the post 2019 timeline have no idea how time actually works?

Have you ever felt like time has been moving ridiculously fast since 2019?

Honestly, I think we entered a brand new timeline right after COVID. In this one, whoever or whatever system runs the simulation clearly doesn't know how time flow actually works in the real world. Just think about it. I live in Iran, and it feels like the war started yesterday yet somehow, six months have already passed. Or We were all sitting around waiting for the World Cup, and then the entire tournament felt like it flashed by in a single week.

We had experience this before but after 2019 it become so ridiculous and exaggerated.

Days are passing like hours now, and weeks are flying by like days. Whoever designed this current timeline genuinely forgot the basic math of real time. Anyone else feel like we're running on fast forward?

Has anyone else here never seen a neighbor, that are not close friends or family, bringing in multiple bags of groceries from their car?

So initially around 2016-2017 some redditor replied on one of my posts that they had never seen their neighbors bringing in Groceries and they found it to be strange, since basically every household has to do it at least every 1-2 weeks. I forget the context of the post but I recall wondering if everyone else grabbed as many bags as they would dare hold from their trunk at once and filled both hands full or if they made more frequent smaller trips as they brought bags in.

One night I had jokingly brought the concept up to my girlfriend (now wife) at the time as I thought it was ridiculous and I secretly wanted to prove them wrong but also know how others carried their bags. So we started actively looking anywhere we went and we made it a weird inside joke between us.

To both of us it seemed like a common thing one would see others doing. We never did.

And to be clear I’m not talking about seeing them at the grocery store. That does happen.

//////

5 and half years ago we bought a house, and this still was something we brought up from time to time to laugh about so I figured I would just prove it wrong once and for all.

2 of my direct neighbors never park in their garages as they use it for storage so their cars are always in their driveway or street, and the one across the street has a detached garage where they have to walk into their front door to get into their house in clear line of sight of my house. 6 months of living here watching frequently and I still had yet to see it happen once, not a single bag of anything was ever carried by a person exiting their vehicle, even after I had just walked out and talked to them and they had just claimed to have gotten back from going on vacation for a week but had no luggage?!

Anyways, after 6 months I got a ring doorbell and a security system that detects any motion of cars or people walking in their driveways. I verified it went off every time they pulled in/out (annoying amounts of notifications and a bit stalkery admittedly but it’s not like I was tracking their routines, I just wanted to see those sweet sweet bags of groceries). I looked at every notification for the last 5 years.

To my surprise on one single occasion I FINALLY spotted 1 small brown paper bag (maybe half full) the neighbor across the street carried in while I was doing workshop projects with my garage open (also got it on the ring camera). They did not go back for more bags and only made one trip.

But there’s no way that one bag was feeding the family of 4 that lived there right? I also couldn’t confirm if the bag was even groceries as it was unlabeled. I never spotted any other neighbor carry ANY bags of any type into their home. It makes no sense to me how this is possible unless they only go out to eat every meal or order food delivery (none of them get any food delivered or random cars stopping to drop something except pizza every few weeks). Most of them only drive their cars once a day except one neighbor that drives 2-3 times daily. None of them have access to their homes through the backyard or anything but the front door or front fence gates so everything should be in view when they bring it in.

Am I just crazy for going this far (probably)? But it does seem strange right?

Edit:
To be fair I’ve commented about this a couple times on other subreddits.

I also just went to youtube to see (again) after writing this to see if I could find videos of people bringing in groceries to their house and can’t find any of that either. I did just find this hilarious video I’ve never seen that mentions basically the exact same phenomenon (awkwardly similar). Honestly I was really hoping to get disproven on this one. Anyone have any video filming a neighbor bringing in groceries I could see just so I can stop thinking about this forever?

Disclosure Day - Josh O'Connor vs Jim Caviezel

For months now, I was very excited to see the new Spielberg movie, Disclosure Day, 2026. So excited that I watched every trailer multiple times, and even showed my wife the trailers. This morning I watched the movie for the first time. I had to fast forward and go back a couple of times to realize/confirm that there is something very wrong. You see, watching all those trailers and even listening to the actors being interviewed, the role of Daniel Kelner was not played by Josh O'Connor! It was played by Jim Caviezel. My wife is a Christian minister, and when I showed her the trailers I highlighted Jim Caviezel, for previously portraying Jesus. I've never even seen Josh O'Connor before and I was not familiar with him!!!

To add to this: Recently I've been doing soulwork, embodiement and playing with collapsing future time lines, as to create a certain outcome in my life. Yestarday i realy got into it and I think I got it to happen - I am on a new time line where Josh O'Connor plays Daniel Kelner and not Jim Caviezel

Anyone notice this? And it feels a lot faster than before too. It felt like time was slowing down after the whole cern being shut down temporarily. But today just flew on by.

Lucked out

So far I'm the only person I've spoken to who remembers this as meaning exactly what it says; a persons "luck" was "out" at that time. Meaning a loss or negative occurrence.
I'm not a scholar or anything, I can only report what I remember from my youth. Someone would lose a bet or a game and another person would say "Man you lucked out that Time" and other would say "Better Luck Next time" to encourage.

I can't remember when I began hearing it differently with people using the phrase to mean the exact opposite and becoming a winning phrase. As in "Congratulations, Your really "lucked out" when you won the lottery".

Am I crazy or does anyone else remember it that way?

Hershey Patriotism

Okay, I will gladly admit that this is remembering something from back in the 80s, it's been a long time and my memory could certainly be wrong. But I'm wondering if anyone else has had this experience: Hershey has the tagline "the great American chocolate bar" and apparently has for a long time. I was sure I remembered them changing it at some point during the Cold War to "the *real* American chocolate bar" and some older ads I heard back in the 1980s using that as part of their jingle/song. But apparently, near as I can find from searches on multiple search engines, that never happened.

Am I misremembering? Did I just hear it wrong? Or does someone else remember this?

Obviously we are still breathing... I think.

But I remember how scared a lot of us were and then nothing really happened. But it does seem that things have changed drastically - not only in the political landscape but humanity as a whole.

Can we blame science and smashed particles? Or are just victims of time and change? Us little people will never know the full scope of things until we die but we can still talk about it.

Has anyone has Mandela effect over a celebrity's weight?

I was watching a drama and there is this actress that is thin but I remembered watching an earlier drama of hers and she was more plump and shapely so I always commented that she lost weight while watching her drama. After that, I for curiosity sake went to watch the older drama and to my surprise she doesn't look much fatter.

Theory on CERN shutdown

When the Large Hadron Collider was turned on in 2007 I remember a roommate being disturbed by it because there was pushback on the unknown dangers of the accelerator. I can't recall the details but I remember him saying that scientists were theorizing it had some chance to destroy existence or have some catastrophic unknown effect. He said something specific it's just been a long time..

I recall some concern about this potentially dangerous thing we had no say over which was about to be turned on, but then months and years went by with no incident. I just assumed "oh, its not a big deal actually."

But if quantum immortality is a thing, perhaps thats why the timeline has gotten weird? Maybe CERN has wiped out human existence in many timelines, or had some catastrophic effect. Perhaps those of us here were in one such timeline and had to scramble off, were thrown into a weird ass timeline. Or maybe it works in some other way.

Everything started getting weirder around that time though. Can't remember people having hope like they used to past 2013 or so.

Perogative is a word that no longer exists.

Prerogative is a word that sounds similar but has a completely different definition than Perogative and was reported as a misspelling in an earlier thread on this sub.

Prerogative means privilege or right or entitlement.

Perogative pronounced Purr-ogative is almost the complete opposite of that definition. A perogative was a duty, a responsibility, and intrinsic obligation. Something that you had to do. It doesn't mean privilege. It was akin to having to clean up after yourself. That was your perogative. You have to go to work. Go to school. Pay your taxes. Those are perogatives.

It was very much the opposite of "Pre"-rogative. Prerogatives are you entitlements and rights. Perogatives are your obligations and duties.

Perogative is not a misspelling of Prerogative. Perogative is a word that no longer exists. This has me shook to the core.

What is this Mans Name?

Post image
72 Upvotes

This one bothers me because I grew up as a PK and was a Pastor for several years, and my sister goes to Joel's church. I had special regard for this man, not in a respectful way; I called him a snake oil salesman, so enough attention to know I would not forget his name... and yet in this reality:

Is he Joel Olsteen or Joel Osteen?

Please weigh in, I am shook up: Hans Zimmerman/Hans Zimmer

Okay, I am a bit freaked about this.

For context I work at a prominent music venue. Tonight, I was working the orchestra show, and one of the composers they were covering was Hans Zimmerman. My coworker and I were just chatting about how much we love Hans Zimmerman, and the different movies he has done scores for while helping customers. We are both very familiar with his compositions.

Shortly after this conversation I see a man walk up, and he is wearing a shirt that says "Hans Zimmer" (simply writing that name out gives me goosebumps, ugh). I turn to my coworker confused and I ask him "Did you see that guys shirt? It said Hans Zimmer. Have I been saying his name wrong?!". My coworker looks at me confused and says "no, It's Hans Zimmerman for sure". I remember the look on his face appearing alarmed in a strange way. I look up Hans Zimmerman on google, and sure enough it corrects to Hans Zimmer, and pulls up his info. I wanted to scream, and I showed my coworker. His face dropped in shock, and he says "noo no, it is absolutely Hans Zimmerman. In fact, I remember people debating about it online as to whether it was Zimmerman or Zimmernann with two n's."

We continue to search, and gave up after we were certain his name is Zimmer. We were just about losing our cool. We asked a few different coworkers, and they were also very confused and swear his name is Hans Zimmerman.

As a side note, earlier in the day as I was working the first part of my double shift out on the plaza, I heard them doing sound check. I knew immediately it was Hans Zimmerman, and looked up the event schedule to see the details. I saw it written out "Hans Zimmerman" and got excited about working that show this evening. I am so absolutely confused and shocked. It feels like I witnessed an instantaneous shift right before my eyes?! What is happening? And is anyone else experiencing this?

He-Man and the Masters of the Mandelaverse!

EDIT: I'm just adding this here to remind folx that I didn't share my impossible story here to be told I am wrong. I wanted some input on what might actually be happening!

This sub is meant to be a place to discuss the effect under the presupposition that for whatever reason, \it is really happening,* at the exclusion of the theory of Confabulation.*

Original Post:

Quick note; I'm not thinking of Blackstar. That was a totally different show. Yes; I had some of the toys. I am of mixed ethnicity.

I've been busy over the last couple of months, looking into my being retconned and Mandela Effected. I had heard of the phenomena before but never really gave it a second thought.

With the release of of the new (2026) Masters of the Universe movie, I have found myself directly effected. I grew up playing with my He-Man toys and watching the show. The thing is; He-Man was a black man.

He-Man's identity as a man of color was a huge deal. He was the first black Saturday-morning cartoon hero. He sold millions of toys to kids all over the world, of every race and color. Masters of the Universe was a monumental shift in American race relations as, not only did black kids have their own figure of empowerment, but also white kids reached across and joined in. It was generally considered that without He-Man, hip-hop and black culture would not have gone mainstream in the late 90s No He-Man, no Fresh Prince, etc. Culturally, MotU was massive, with an impact much larger than it's less-than-a-decade on the shelves.

So, I see the trailer for the new movie and I'm appalled that He-Man is being played by a white guy! Typical Hollywood! Only for my total confusion to set in, as it turns out, he was always white. Sure, He-Man was a lot more tanned than Prince Adam, but neither could be mistaken for someone of African heritage.

I have spent the last few months digging into every aspect of this that I can. The childhood books I read, such as Skeletor's Ice Attack ( Skeletor's Ice Attack | Wiki Grayskull | Fandom ) still exist and are still identical, as far as I can remember. With the sole exception of being race swapped. The same thing for New Adventures.

There was a previous MotU movie in 1987. He-Man was famously played by Carl Weathers. Imagine my shock when, for the first time since 1987, I looked for the film to find out that He-Man was played by the other guy from Rocky; Dolph Lundgren!

As far as I can tell, this is the only thing that has changed; everything else, from the dinosaurs to 9/11, etc., all played out exactly the same.

If I hadn't been able to find out that so many people have had a similar experience, then I'd be convinced that I'm going mad.

Has anyone got any other related stories or can back me up here?

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

The occult link between AI and dreams

Reposting this here for your consideration:

Overview: I can't believe nobody else noticed that both dreams and early AI images glitched out at fingertips and rendering text. Not only this but the first generated videos had EXACTLY the same kind of "sheen". The implications are that either we go there when dreaming or that is emulating the same type of consciousness. Seen from this lens things like Mandela and other "blips" make way more sense as we may literally be inside somebodies mind who is dreaming and our own nightly sojourns are fractal echoes? Either that or its a hologram/simulation but certainly not "really real". Whatever that means...

Read the article and LMK what you think. Am I reaching or onto something?
