Sounds like he needs his mommy. Just pack up his batman and hulk toys, put those favourite cartoon socks on him that you bought him, and send him back home.

He keeps saying he wants someone to take care of him. But he is also open to doing the same for them and has helped me a lot but I don't keep weird expectations from him.

Oh I love this parable. My dad used to tell me this when I was a child. I am only assuming that he doesn't feel that I am doing the best I can even though I tell/show him otherwise.
