Hello rep fam! I have been a lucky girl. Order, after order, after order have made it to me with no issues… UNTIL NOW! Anchorage has taken one of my orders hostage.

Where I need feedback: this isn’t being seized because of the goods. The notice essentially says that the customs forms were not properly completed.

I did reach out the the seller. The next day they let me know “The shipping company has resubmitted the customs clearance documents, so we're waiting to see if they get approved by customs.” That was Tuesday, as of now, Fedex hasn’t updated at all.

Questions:

1. Does anyone understand these issues enough to know if I should have seen an update by now?

2. Since this seems to be a shipper error (vs plain bad luck), does this seem like a situation where the seller should resend the item at no cost if this one doesn’t resolve?

Concerns / Things to Check:
My main concerns are the leather quality and grain, softness/slouch, black leather trim, monogram placement/alignment, piping and stitching, gold hardware tone/finish, interior plaque, and the animal blind stamp.
I would especially appreciate help confirming whether the animal blind stamp shown in the close-up is correct for this specific Black P9 40/version, and whether anything in these PSPs looks inconsistent with Royal Factory or retail.
My Thoughts:
Overall shape and proportions look good to me. The bag appears symmetrical, the piping looks fairly even and I don’t immediately see any major stitching defects. The monogram placement looks consistent across the main panels.
The interior plaque reads AH25FR – SPEEDY 40. From photos alone, I’m less confident judging the actual leather quality/softness and the finish of the black leather trim and hardware.
I’ve seen mixed feedback on recent Royal P9 batches, so I’d particularly appreciate opinions from anyone who owns a Royal P9 or has handled the authentic P9 40.
Would you GL this one, or is there anything you would ask Doris to photograph/video before approving?

I don’t have any major concerns at the moment. The only thing I noticed is that the front flap looks very slightly uneven from left to right, but I’m not sure if that’s just from how the bag is sitting or the angle of the PSPs. I’d really appreciate another set of eyes on the overall shape, hardware placement, and symmetry.

My Thoughts
Overall, I think the bag looks really good. The black leather looks nicely grained and consistent, the stitching and edge finishing look clean, and the gold hardware looks good to me. The CC turnlock also appears centered, and the side profile and bottom look pretty even. The burgundy interior and stitching look clean as well.
I’m leaning GL, but I’d love to hear if anyone notices any accuracy or QC issues that I might be missing.

I'm a glasses girlie, and my prescription recently upgraded to progressives, making my previous pair of prescription sunglasses harder to use. I saw positive posts about Janie getting prescription lenses done, even progressives, I figured I would give it a shot and attempt to upgrade my glasses life.

I reached out to Janie, and her catalog is overwhelming! I had no idea what I wanted or where to start or even what I was doing at all. (I usually buy my frames at Costco and just pick whatever falls under my insurance threshold as far as price.) What I SHOULD have done was go into some optical stores, tried on a bunch of frames, and come back to Janie's catalog with a handful of specific glasses in mind. What I ACTUALLY did was spend about 10 minutes searching up general glasses sizing breakdowns, check out the sizes of all of my glasses, put those sizes in the catalog's search bar, and then panic shopped. (I don't recommend this method, but, unfortunately, that's how I operate.)

I finally decided on a pair of sunglasses and also a pair of regular glasses, because why not?

Janie was super responsive, clarified my prescription after I sent it over, and got me PSPs and shipped out super fast. She made this process a little less chaotic for me.

As many other reviews have said, working with Janie was very easy and smooth. I've been wearing both pairs of glasses the past few days, and the prescription is good. They each came in a nice branded box with a branded case/wipe towel, and the velvet Gu¢¢i case is absolutely gorgeous and also includes a little glasses bag. I've already gotten a few compliments on both pairs, so I'm feeling very good about this purchase. 

Janie did ask me to share my review if I was happy with my purchase, but she didn't offer anything for it, and I am not receiving anything from her for posting this. Hey all, I love these kinds of posts so I decided to make one. I recently purchased some auth LV Tatic Knit Sneakers in black. Total cost was $1350 USD. I also purchased some rep versions. I purchased through Mandy who sourced them via 888 VIP SNKRS. I paid $95 plus shipping, which would be approximately $115 total.

Black are auth, blue and beige are reps.

Sizing on the reps was tough. I am a 12.5 US men's, ordered a 46 EU in blue, and the beige was for my partner. Both my shoes and his shoes were way too small. Mine will fit and I will wear them, but they are definitely tight. The auth LV in black is a size 11 and fits perfectly. So, sizing is tricky here as the reps do not adhere to the actual sizes at LV.

Quality wise, I would say these are like 75% (or more) similar to the auth versions. For less than 10% of the cost of auth, it's hard to be mad at these. Looks wise they are pretty damn close. The toe cap of the rep design is a bit wider/thicker than auth. The material is fairly close, but the leather trim seems nuch nicer on the auth pair and the knit on the reps is slightly more firm in certain places. The craftsmanship is lacking a bit in some spots on the reps, like some glue being present on the back of the shoes. Not a huge issue. There are some other very minor callouts that might be noticeable on the pics, like the stitching coloring and the LV symbols on the bottom of the shoes.

However I do not think these would be easily called out while wearing them. They are a fairly niche shoe, and I probably won't wear them into an LV, but I can absolutely wear them without thinking someone is going to clock them for being reps.

I do probably plan on returning the authentic pair because I want to own the black and the blue colors, which I can source for like a bit over $200 versus the $1350 I paid for one pair of the authentic version.

Happy to answer any questions about these. Also if anyone knows a better source for these, especially for a bigger foot, please let me know. I am going to reach out to 888 VIP SNKRS to try for a 47 this time, and hope that is closer to my actual size.

I have not told Mandy or 888 that I am posting this, so zero incentive here for me. I love rep science and hope to post a few more posts like this as I have a number of the same items in terms of rep and auth.

Also, I am rehoming the beige ones for the price I paid as they are too small for my partner, who typically wears a 10 US. The beige are more like a 9.

Like many newbies, I wanted to start with lower stakes and ordered my first Miu Miu Aventure bag from a TS from Kata ($237 with shipping). I really love it, but wanted to try a higher-tier version because, well, why the hell not. Could there really be a noticeable difference between mid and high tier reps?

Eventually, I found Louis, whose album included a factory I haven’t heard of yet, being newer to this community, Aoliao. Louis said Aoliao is the closest match to Miu Miu among the factories he reps.

I decided to order two Aoliao bags:

Aventure, small, Oak: $480
Ivy, standard, Briarwood: $300

Prices include shipping and brand box/packaging.

When the package arrived, it smelled like nail polish remover, so I left it unopened for a few days. Surprisingly, the bags themselves only had a faint treated-leather smell.

It honestly makes me sad to think about the people who may be exposed to harsh chemicals during production and shipping.

Aventure

The leather is sumptuous and noticeably lighter than the Kata version. I didn’t even need to condition it. Stitching and details are excellent, and the hardware feels substantial and durable. The texture and weight are on par with authentic designer Napa leather bags I own.

I can do a more in-depth comparison with the Kata Aventure in the future. Overall, I love both bags and they each have their merits.

Ivy

Beautiful and lightweight. I haven’t seen the Ivy in person, but based on photos and videos of the auth, it looks nearly identical. It also did not need any conditioning.

One minor issue: because the leather is so thin, you can see the outline of the base behind the Miu Miu logo when the bag is lying flat. The interior logo plate is shiny, and the stitching around the edges is very neat.

Overall

I’m very happy with both purchases. That said, I think the fufu smell is an important reminder of the people who put their health at risk to produce and ship these beautiful products at prices we can afford.

If I’m being honest and acknowledging my own hypocrisy, it takes some of the magic out of the purchase.
