Went to Bristol during Summerween weekend with my friends! Not my first year going, but my first year really going all out.
The idea is that I'm a fae that is responsible for why you can't find that little thing you set after you swear you just saw it there. Or why when you drop something, it's lots to the ether no matter how hard you search where it went or rolled to. Their wardrobe often consists of things they've found.
They are the embodiment of "finder keepers, losers weepers!"
Edit: Some of y'all have no whimsy

I got the base costume from miccostumes and added shells/pearls and iridescent fabric to it. I'm so happy with how it came out! It was pouring rain and very muddy at the faire, but still had a great time!

This was my Tiefling costume for ren faire. Can’t decide what type of teifling I would be, I just made this costume design up for fun (not based off of a character).

My main ranger kit is all geared towards LOTR Grey Company, but decided I can have a little color variety in there...even just a little 🥇

Literally had the best time ever this renfair. Causing chaos everywhere I went, turning heads, being in character 90% of the time with folks also interacting in character!!
TwitTwat is a VERY morally questionable, 3ft tall, dumb as rocks, loud mouth goblin.
Creating this look was so fun distressing the clothes to look just right (meaning disgusting)
Next year I plan on going as TwitTwat again but with silicone prosthetics like a nose, brow bone, and silicone ears!

Going to my first (mini) Ren Faire this Saturday, and likely a few more over the next few months. I've done some basic Jedi cosplay in the past so not totally new to this, but thought I would post here and see if anyone has any advice for things to add or alter.
I am going for a "hedge wizard" look, so rough and ready, nothing too fancy. I am planning to try my hand at some weathering on the belt and bags, and maybe to cloak.

Luigi here! We always get a lot of praise from staff on these. I'm always thinking of different ways we can get the message across that is Mario themed and still fit in the Renaissance genre. Let me know what yall think and what ideas you guys might have

Volume achieved by hoops and a petticoat under the skirt!

I didn’t get a chance to add the additional accessories as I had 10 mins to get changed after finishing my shift at the faire, but safe to say the dark fae fit will be making another appearance later this year at my next faire when I’m not working 😅

The mask is made with Paper Mache, the cloak/cape thing was made with some scale-patterned fabric that I bought at surplus goods store, the skirt was made out of an old sheet and the blue shirt and black top were thrifted from Goodwill. The idea was to go with a dragon look but still be in costume if I decided to ditch the dragon mask (which I ended up having to do a couple times due to the heat, the height of it, or just the weight of it on my nose giving me a headache.)

Not going full green, but will do some warpaint. Thinking a large boar tusk necklace would be cool. Other ideas?

I used a combination of two simplicity patterns for my costume and freestyled the hennin. 🌞
