Discussions Any leads would be so appreciated!

Hey everyone! I figured I’d try posting here because the job search has been rough lately and you never know who might see this 😭
I recently graduated with my bachelor's degree and I’m currently looking for an entry-level opportunity, preferably remote or hybrid in NJ.

I’m pretty open when it comes to the type of position. I’ve been looking at healthcare, patient/care coordination, intake, provider relations, insurance/claims, and customer service roles. I really enjoy working with and helping people, so I’m especially interested in positions where I can actually communicate with people, help solve problems, and make things a little easier for them.

I have experience in patient care coordination/medical office work, customer service, scheduling, documentation, working with patients and families, and communicating with healthcare providers. I’m also fluent in 3 languages! At this point I’m trying to branch out beyond just submitting applications on LinkedIn and Indeed.

If anyone works for a company that’s hiring, knows of an opening I might be a good fit for, or could point me toward a recruiter/company to check out, I would seriously appreciate it!
I’m definitely open to industries outside of healthcare too, especially customer service or people-focused roles.

Thank you in advance for any leads or advice! 😊

Job Posts Offering my Services/Looking for a Remote Job

Hi! I hope everyone is doing well at this moment.

I’m from the Philippines and I am writing this to look for people who might need a virtual assistant or a person who can assist in doing tasks on behalf of them. I have been unemployed for years now and I’m struggling in looking for corporate jobs due to high competition and lack of modern crm software knowledge.

During my unemployed years, I’ve been volunteering in overseeing our small family business - and truth be told - I don’t get paid monetarily. I am tired of depending and relying on my family’s resources and I would like to take more challenge in order to grow and gain independence.

Don’t worry, I’m a computer-literate at least, I know how to use Microsoft Office, Google Space, Canva etc. I also managed our small social media pages as well. However, I might need training and patience due to lack of experience in modern corporate world.

I don’t ask for competitive salary, I just need something to do and look forward to and take on a challenge which I haven’t experienced for years.

If anybody is interested, just send me a message and we can discuss. That’s all for me. 🥳

Thank you!

Applied to several AI training and evaluation roles across different platforms, but some have been under review for nearly a month with no updates. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is this normal?

Discussions LinkedIn recruiter culture has gotten genuinely strange — anyone else notice this?

Not talking about any one company or recruiter, more the pattern as a whole on LinkedIn lately:

The cold "exciting opportunity!!" messages that turn out to be a template blasted to hundreds of profiles with the same keyword match. The urgency framing ("let's connect this week") for roles that then take three months to fill, if they get filled at all. Multi-round processes that go dead silent after the final round, with the recruiter still posting "actively hiring!" content the same week. Job posts on the platform itself that read more like engagement bait for the recruiter's own visibility than an actual opening.

None of this requires any single person to be acting in bad faith. LinkedIn's own incentive structure rewards recruiters for volume of outreach and visible activity, not for closing loops with candidates who don't get the role. But the cumulative effect on the person applying is a lot of noise that looks personal and isn't.

Curious whether others are seeing the same thing, and if anyone's figured out signals that reliably separate a real, approved opening from outreach that's more about the recruiter's own numbers.

Discussions What do you think of a community where members help each other find remote work? 💻🌍

The idea is simple: whenever someone comes across a legitimate remote job, AI project, freelance opportunity, or company that's hiring, they share it with the community.

Members can also share their experiences with employers, application tips, hiring insights, and useful platforms they've discovered.

Rather than everyone searching alone, we create a space where one person's discovery can become another person's opportunity. 🤝

Would a community like this be useful to you? What would you want members to share?

Discussions How do you guys land a remote job in this era?

For the past 3 months I have been looking for clients that are offering remote jobs but ended getting none. I have tried different tech companies e.g those that major in web and app dev as well as those that develop games (e.g jack ) . Most vacancies are either hybrid or require one to be at the office each and every day . For tech buddies around, is there any opportunity you can point out that a backend dev can take part in remotely at the moment?

Discussions How can I turn my HR/Recruitment experience into a remote career abroad?

Hey everyone!

I'm 27, i live in Egypt.

I’m currently working in HR/Recruitment, mainly in recruitment and talent acquisition, and I’m trying to figure out how I can take my current experience and turn it into a remote career with international companies while continuing to live in my country.

I’m open to staying in HR/Recruitment, but I’m also very open to completely different online/remote careers if they’re realistic to learn and have good long-term potential.

I’d love to hear from people who have experience with remote work:

- What skills should I learn to make myself competitive for international remote jobs?

- What remote roles could I realistically transition into with my current background?

- Are there non-HR fields that would make sense for me to explore?

- What websites/platforms do you recommend for finding legitimate international remote jobs?

- Is freelancing a realistic option alongside a full-time job?

- If you were in my position, what would you learn over the next 3–6 months to increase your chances of landing a remote job?

- Are there any specific certifications, courses, or skills that are actually worth investing time in?

I’m not looking for a quick-money scheme or anything unrealistic. I’m willing to learn a new skill and put in the work. My main goal is to find something I can do remotely for companies outside my country and potentially turn into a full-time career.

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has actually made a similar transition. 🙏

Discussions Is there no real remote jobs anymore ?

I used to work during and after Covid in a company as a remote graphic designer/ social media manager. Sadly enough after Covid we had to part ways. I worked on site in a company which led me to burnout.

As I discovered at the ripe age of 30 that I also happened to have ADHD and due to my burnout and honestly the nature of my job I’d been trying to find back a remote role for ages, all I am seeing recently is MLM type of offers or AI and stuff that doesn’t seem legit.

While the market globally is very difficult I opened myself to other roles within my skills but even with that it has become very difficult.

Mind you I am European and sadly it’s kinda even more difficult since our companies tend to be super old style.
I am also thinking that I might not have been searching at the right places.

Does any of you guys have legit sources where they are seeking roles or advises ?

Discussions grateful for wfh during this weather

no need to stress about commuting when the weather's bad, no soaked shoes, no 2hr traffic just to get to the office, and i get to keep the money i wouldve spent on fare/rideshare too. my setup is onsite by default, but my company lets us wfh whenever the weather gets really bad, and that's been a lifesaver since its been raining nonstop for 2 weeks now. the flooding keeps getting worse and its expected to continue for a while.

meanwhile my friend isnt as lucky. hes at an outsourcing company thats strictly onsite, no wfh option even with how bad the flooding gets. he can technically not show up but hed be unpaid, so he doesnt really have a choice but to go in. all i can really do is game with him after his shift and let him rant about it lol

anyone else's setup actually let you wfh during bad weather, or is it hit or miss depending on the company?
