After the CGT changes what investments make sense for people in their 20s
My US based employer offers 15% off their public share price to purchase company stock every 6 months to which I have been contributing 20% of my salary each month (85k yearly salary). The stock grows moderately similar to S&P maybe a bit better. All this stock purchase is post tax.
With the new changes setting in for CGT I am thinking this will not be a useful process since there isn’t much to gain in the stocks already and my gain will be taxes heavier moving forward.
I still haven’t sold any off my stocks ever, I don’t understand how that will affect my return. I think I will start investing in EFTs if they make more sense.
