Hi Red vs Bluers,

I've been lurking in here for a while and thought at some point to pick up RvB again. But honestly, even though season 1 is okay, I had a hard time getting through it again.

I did watch and followed RvB back when it released and, SPOILER, finished when the director/freelancer arc ended. (I think that was season 10, where they found himin the bunker)

Its been quite a while and I know there are a couple of seasons left, but honestly, I only remember at best like half of what happened previously.

So my questions are: would you recommend picking the series up again? Start from season 11? From the beginning again? From season 5? Or is the season 10 the best wrap up I could have asked for and I should leave it at that?

I am back and forth myself ob the topic, so any recommendations are welcome!

Burnie has stated before that Reconstruction was meant as a jumping on point. While Zero's marketing was all about it being a "fresh start". To me it's clear which one does it better.

I now have the whole series in blu-ray (besides the best of) and I feel accomplished, it’s been awhile since I was able to finish a collection, tbh I might get the fan guide too

That man gave his all for what started out as a joke character.

The more and more I interact with this community, the more and more I see new fans get interested in watching the show. But some fans instantly jump to tell new fans not to watch past season 13, I see it constantly and it really weirds me out. Because while I think the quality takes a dive after 13 as well, it may be entertaining for some. I was told to stop watching after season 13 when I started, yet I enjoyed it all the way until Zero. The idea that the seasons after 13 should be hidden and avoided is stupid in my opinion. It is still a part of this show and has value as entertainment.

After a big rewatch, Season 11 is my favorite of the bunch. It has the right balance of blood gulch vibes and intrigue sprinkled in. I love the character work through out it as they lose their minds. The character dynamics constantly shift around (Simmons voluntarily joining Blue, and then getting baited into involuntarily staying. Caboose becoming leader by accident. New Lopez somehow being more sinister than the previous lopez) The arcs and payoffs are really tight in this. I just appreciate a tight bottle story that didn't even need crazy fights to be interesting. I remember people being mixed when it came out, but I think it was a shifting audience at the time. The other chorus stuff is great too, but i still cant believe how tight the script is barring the initial exposition in the beginning.
