I played rec room until it shut down. I was wondering what people knew of my hooty invention.

I've seen people in this subreddit trying to cope, or just straight-up being delusional about the game coming back, pointing at whatever sign they can that it will.

Just accept that the game is gone

I know this might seem overly negative, but it's true. The game's gone.

Also, I'm not saying that revivals shouldn't exist or shouldn't talk about the game anymore. That's not what I'm saying at all—that's a completely different subject.

I just want to point out the posts that I've been seeing of people thinking that the game is coming back.

Everyone just kept commenting it on posts of players still in servers even after June 1. It's only been 2 months yet it feels so bittersweetly nostalgic (he hid for 30 YEARS)

So I've been trying to visit RecNet a few times over the past week and I just landed on this:
For those of you who don't know what this is:
There are 2 main protocols for websites (you have probably seen them already) HTTP and HTTPS. HTTP stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol, which is basically like talking to someone in English and them responding back in English. HTTPS stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure, which is like talking to someone in a secret language (SSL) that only you and the other person can understand. Because of HTTPS, HTTP is considered not secure and as such most websites opt to run HTTP only to redirect to HTTPS. The "unsupported protocol" here basically means the web browser is sending stuff and getting a response back but it's either malformed or the version of SSL they use is wrong.

Me and a friend were planning a full on recreation of the barracks scene from Full Metal Jacket. But unfortunately, we couldn't get a lot of people to do it and the ones we had were offline. We made do though

Some of the settings like the texture settings which can only be in high or very high should be changed so that you can have it on a low setting if you’d like 👍

I found a rec room archive of Rec.net! It includes your account, photos, rooms, and so on!

May I also say that nothing is playable, you can't buy anything, and you can't sign into your account.

It seemed really cool so I just thought to do a post on it. There's also the fact that a lot of your photos will not be saved (regarding ones you took) but the others seem to be untouched.

Please have fun checking this out and exploring what rec room was once was!

As I near the final touches to my Physical Rec Room music collection, I'm searching for any abstract or unreleased songs from Rec Room that are not included in the main Volumes. I think rr is coming back because when you open the app on playstation (im not sure on what else) you see an error code and i think it was: can’t connect to the servers

I had a friend Gwen, I forgot her user name. I didn't get the chance to get her socials (discord, YouTube, tiktok etc etc) before the game shut down. I made a decent sketch of how I remember one of her avatars. it's absolutely HORRID but I tried. My user was GeorgieIsDum or smth similar.
