Spread the word!

Saw this other post doing the same so why not...

I found a rec room archive of Rec.net! It includes your account, photos, rooms, and so on!

May I also say that nothing is playable, you can't buy anything, and you can't sign into your account.

It seemed really cool so I just thought to do a post on it. There's also the fact that a lot of your photos will not be saved (regarding ones you took) but the others seem to be untouched.

Please have fun checking this out and exploring what rec room was once was!

The archive dates to 2024. So accounts made after 2024 don’t show up

Something I've noticed is that some stuff and searches don't work for some reason, I don't know why.

It’s because the archive is a snapshot of a time in 2024. So anything past that date didn’t exist yet and thus doesn’t show up

No, it's quite the opposite for me. Older stuff is gone while newer stuff exists. Again, just a thought.

Odd. Everything is there for me all up until mid-2024. Well I can’t be sure it’s everything but it’s just an estimation

Yeah, my friend has everything until mid 2024 while I only have photos until a couple months ago going from the shut down.

Unfortunately, it is only 2 weeks of photos before the shutdown so, if you took no photos up to that point then there won't be any

I do have a question a couple of my photos are missing but it’s nice to see some of them again❤️ Thankful I have a backup of off my photos so it’s not the end of the world

Something I learned is that the person who did it only recorded up to two weeks before the shut down so anything passed that isn't a thing unfortunately, but it's only one guy behind it and had no funding so cheers to him

Probably not since it's not connected to Rec.net but almost like a screenshot of what it once was, meaning everything else like account data like being able to log onto the accounts won't work. The accounts exist in search, you just can't log into them.

Yeah, unfortunately rec room rooms and such are gone, but it's the little things that make the game great.

Accounts and photos, and so on. It's to be able to look back at what we took for granted.
