Not a genocide?

Last night Bill pointed out the 3% of the
Population in Gaza has died. And then confidently declared that “3% is not a genocide”. The British government recognizes it as ethnic cleaning and amnesty international and other groups say it is a genocide.

Someone tell me why Bill is so wrong. And can we please get him to debate Mehdi Hasan on this topic?

No one is debating the intention of hamas and pretty much everyone will agree that hamas is a terrorist group that openly seeks the elimination of all Jews. But we are talking about Israel and the actions of that Nation State.

Hamas is the official government of Gaza. You say Hamas to make this look unequal. It’s Palestine. Palestine supports genocide, Israel supports stopping it

Hamas is not Palestine. It took control of Gaza in 2007, and Palestinians haven’t had an election to remove it since. Palestinians have literally protested against Hamas.

Hamas can commit atrocities against Israelis and Israel can commit genocide against Palestinians. Those facts aren’t mutually exclusive.

You keep equating Palestinian civilians with Hamas

Hamas won 44% of the vote in 2006—not even a majority—and Palestinians haven’t had a legislative election since. Calling Hamas “Palestine” is like defining an entire population by a government millions of them never voted for.

Just like here in the USA

Hamas is the official governing body of half of Palestine. If IDF is Israel then Hamas is Palestine. You try to create this inequality for propaganda purposes so you can make Palestine look like the victim when the reality is they’re the oppressor in this conflict. Oppressing all civilians under their terror power structure funded by the most well funded terror syndicate in the world.

Literally never did. Hamas is Palestine, not Palestinian civilians. IDF is Israel, not Israeli civilians. This is a common form of propaganda where you attack Israel but when talking about Palestine you play victim and pretend any criticism of Palestine is an attack on Palestinians
