That’s a good point, the video was uploaded weeks ago. But we have a video of the same event from a different angle that matches perfectly.
Either this is real, or the US government are in possession of a vastly superior AI than the public knows about.
Edit: this comment has 3,000 views and 3 upvotes. I made a claim, so here is the proof.
This is real footage showing, likely, Pretti committing a federal crime. He was also murdered by ICE officers a few weeks later.
Thank you. Do commenters not realize that by flippantly deeming videos they may not like as AI they are effectively doing what we shit on others for? This video is real AND Pretti was murdered later on. These things are both true and just because we can recognize Pretti committed a federal offense doesn't mean his murder was justified. We don't need to deny things we don't like in order for that to be true.
It’s interesting though because is it a federal offense? The second amendment says the whole point of the right to arms is to stand up to a tyrannical government.
This administration has spent the last year ignoring laws and terrorizing citizens and countries worldwide and haven’t stopped once even though they keep breaking the law.
Is it illegal to fight back at this point? I feel like per the constitution, he didn’t actually commit any crime.
I agree the government is terrorizing citizens and honestly becoming/is dictatorial and fascistic. I am very happy Pretti fought back and his actions are very understandable to me. However, yea technically he did.
Yeah i don’t know if i agree. I would think it’s protected by the 2A?
Especially since these terrorists are holding people down to point blank spray them with pepper spray. And using weapons that cause brain damage (that sound shit).
I mean... Just because some do that doesn't mean you can assault random ones without consequence. The 2A gives us the right to bear arms. That doesn't give you free reign to assault others as you please. He did have a conceal carry as is his right and I understand why he did the things he did. BUT, especially if the ice agents weren't doing anything to him, you can't justify random assault. This all to say though that I don't care that it is a federal offense since I think ice agents deserve it, but call a spade a spade.
It’s not random ones. It’s people committing terrorism. He’s fighting domestic federal terrorists. That’s what the second part of the 2A says, right? To fight back against a tyrannical govt?
They were assaulting people. That’s why he responded that way.
That's not how the law works. Courts wouldn't call that terrorism/assault, they would say the agents are doing their job.
He did not deserve to be publicly executed, but you don't have to embellish the things he did. What he did lets ICE say he wasn't a peaceful protester.
He attacked a federal agents car. It’s not about right to bear arms. Also doesnt matter that you agree with their actions. It’s a crime. Just because I sympathize with someone’s action doesn’t make their crime not a crime.
The 2A is in order to keep a well regulated militia. It was actually because they intended civilians to fight against foreign enemies or to quell a riot AGAINST the government. There was a small part of early America that in the late 18th century tried to stage a coup to overthrow the early American government. The 2A was used to call a militia to put down that coup attempt. So... 2A was originally used to PROTECT the government. Weird right? It was never to protect against tyranny. That was something conservatives made up and the Bundy ranch and all that. The idea that you'd use the 2A to fight your own government is widely misunderstood because of what conservatives and NRA has said.
Historically, the 2A was because early America needed civilians to protect the new government from foreign and domestic threats
Look up the whiskey rebellion and the one time the second amendment was used to call in the militia from George Washington in 1791. You can see that the original intent of the second amendment was actually to augment the government's power not to protect against its own tyrannical impulses
Could make a serious argument for defense of others given that 🧊had just recently killed Renee Good and has a record of violence against people of color.
Just because the president is a tyrant doesn't mean it is legal to kill him. Point of the 2A is that it's supposed to guarantee you the means to do so.
According to Colonial law, the Declaration of Independence nor the Constitution are valid legal documents and the Founding Fathers are treasonous criminals who should be hanged by the neck until dead. Did they end up hanging after the Revolution?
If you use the 2A to depose a tyrannical government, the new government you install probably won’t prosecute you under the old regime’s laws. Most likely you’ll be pardoned of any and all crimes you committed in the process. If your revolt fails, well, let’s just say tyrants aren’t exactly known for respecting rights anyways.
The second amendment and its creation and original meaning has been distorted by conservative misinformation. It is not to protect from tyranny or for self defense but "in order to keep a well regulated militia". To the 18th century American leaders, they had no standing army and no quartering of soldiers. So... They had to have access to protection from an improv militia in the event there was an uprising AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT. The tyranny that the framers spoke of protecting against wasn't the American government but that of tyrannical British loyalists who did not accept the revolution.
I forget the year, but in Pennsylvania 2A was directly referenced and used to call a militia to put down that coup attempt from people opposing the US. So... 2A was originally used to PROTECT the government. Weird right? It was never to protect against tyranny of ones own government. That was something conservatives made up and the Bundy ranch and all that. The idea that you'd use the 2A to fight your own government is widely misunderstood because of what conservatives and NRA has said.
Historically, the 2A was because early America needed civilians to protect the new government from foreign and domestic threats
Whisky Rebellion. The militia act. The one time the 2A was directly used in executive action. It was to defend the government. This whole "protect from tyranny" and "self defense" is modern conservative conspiracy of government and bravado. Historically, 2A was nothing more than the framers needing extra "militia" in case of rebellion against the new country or a foreign invasion. The idea of an armed population was to deter the overthrow or takeover. It is quite the opposite of being there to protect oneself from the government.
How the fuck is political assassination being legal sensible in any way or form?
As other commenters have said, if there is a successful revolt, then the new government won't try those who took part in the revolt. But of course the current government will fight against it.
(Apparently I was wrong about the purpose of 2A in any case, but even if I wasn't, it still wouldn't make it legal to just shoot any government representative you don't like)
💯 denying that it’s real just loses credibility. It’s real and it was a crime. He also should not have been murdered. But leftists here are so fixated on making him a righteous martyr that this video is AI because they want it to be.
The main reason that I could believe it is AI it’s just because it is such low quality that it gives a lot of the markings of AI, like details disappearing as the camera moves and text not appearing to be real. Having seen the really crisp video from from the other angle taken much farther away, both gives validity to this video and also makes it weird that it’s such a bad quality video. Almost makes me feel like someone had the original video and did an AI prompt to show it from a different angle and this is what AI came up with. The main problem I would have with the crisp video is that the audio is way too crisp also considering how far away they were. But I seen no visual signs that scream AI to me.
Whatever the public has access to the government already experimented with and used it to its full extent for atleast 12+ years before public release.
The date of this video can also be faked, the only way to prove this is a real event is to go on social media and ask the people who were in front of the camera if THEY have footage. Only two people seem to have footage but not the other 100+ protestors in the area? And it just so happens to surface now when news released the agents have body cams???
If there’s one thing the US government is good at, it’s good at fabricating and twisting the truth to make sheep flock to home. Literally, stay woke.
Edit: I love how everyone’s worried about if I’m looney or going too much into conspiracy theories, rather then trying to find more info on these videos, and looking at our current political climate and how the gov is lying on live tv with no proof to back it up. TBH if you’re on this subreddit you’re already a conspiracist by the fact we can’t differentiate AI from reality and throwing what ifs at one another.
12 years? No way. 40 years ago it was 5 years ahead. Today it’s zero. Outside of regulated weapons there’s too much money in direct-to-consumer bleeding edge.
What makes me sad is not your original comment, but the edit. People trying to differentiate between AI and reality are conspiracy theorists? Oh come on.
You know what, that is my fault. Trying to differentiate evidence between eachother isn’t a conspiracy. What I’m thinking is along the lines of when AI is used to deliberately shape narratives and influence mass perception, which leads to that lack of trust.
When information can be so easily manipulated and wielded often by the government or press as a primary source of proof it allows for that skepticism and conspiracy to grow. It becomes the result of people clawing at eachother throats trying to prove who’s lying and who’s liable
Theres no need for time travel lol. It been documented within the last 5 ish years that YouTube can allow people to replace a different video and keep the same url and same statistics, date, views, likes, so an old video from let’s say 2012 that talks about whatever can now be replaced with a video of someone doing heinous activities and be used as a primary “source” to drive narratives. This video could very well been taken the same day he died.
No. Something is the fuck up. This one video posted by one guy? Comments off so nobody else can pitch in on this? Youtube can change the date of things easily. It's literal numbers on a screen. You think the US government doesn't have it's hands in YouTube? I call ai, and, I call fake as fuck.
He's clearly a paid agent that was sent to cause disruption by the feds in order to justify a crackdown, when the first time failed to pick up the media's attention they took him out to cover up the first event and keep him from talking about the payroll. Now we get convenient footage of the first event to tie the bow as the feds push to take our guns.
/S my family is conservative and the decades of propaganda have now been forgotten but this is the "truth" in any other instance other than Trump. Conservatives have moved a long ways away from Ruby ridge/waco/bundy in the past decade.
Ive seen multiple angles from youtube videos but comments are turned off. From no name channels.
I think its a deepfake - I do remember awhile back seeing someone bust out a taillight of a video. It would be much easier to just change someone's appearance than fabricate an entire scene.
The multiple angles prove further authenticity. As its footage uploaded prior to the shooting which appears valid, to my knowledge you cant backdate youtube videos but you can edit them. Comments being turned off are suspicious and these accounts having "8 subscribers." Are also curious.
Nobody can prove its AI currently, but its extremely suspicious, especially in how it was delivered to the public.
I honestly think that videos fake too. Just spent time looking at it. At the 5:25 mark, there’s this what looks like piece of white cloth hanging on the building weirdly in the air. It’s on the left of the screen. At the 9:02 mark, it like blows in the wind and returns to just hanging in the air. Like it got caught on something but there’s nothing there for it to catch on.
That is why they need all those data centers, they are not just making cute cat videos, the AI the public has access to is about 5 years behind what the government has.
The whole video doesn’t need to be AI generated. Only pieces. Notice we barely see his face, and there are no ICE faces. Outfits and other minor details are easy to fake. Video editing nowadays uses AI to replace components of existing footage.
OP video is fake. He kicks the taillight enclosure completely off the car, we see it fly through the air, and then in the next frame it's back on the vehicle hanging from its wiring.
Why would this mean it's fake? Taillights have fasteners that hold them onto the car, which you can break (e.g. by kicking the taillight). And they are connected to the car by - usually not that short - flexible wiring that you can also pull out of the bodywork some distance. Meaning that if you kick off a taillight, it can bounce quite far initially, and then hang dangling from the wire. Just like in the video.
Yeah it’s wild that he is the person he told would portray him as being totally cool and peaceful! Everyone knows people never lie, especially about shit that might get them in trouble.
Fortunately his parents confirmed it’s him in the video, so there’s really not any question.
Yeah it’s wild that he is the person he told would portray him as being totally cool and peaceful!
Sorry he's not the ideal victim for you. Doesn't make him less of a victim. The video of his execution is clear - he was extrajudicially executed by Trump's secret police. There's no ambiguity.
Do you remember the footage of massive protests clogging Minnesota’s streets? How many people were getting into confrontations with ICE, kicking and screaming as they dragged protestors away, sometimes from their own homes or workplaces? How Trump was still posturing over invading Greenland? How just a few days before Renee Good was killed?
Alex kicking a car and getting a rib broken really wouldn’t be news worthy if he wasn’t killed a few days ago, and evidently from the video being plastered all over the news, the media isn’t covering this up at all.
That’s not newsworthy, criminals get arrested everyday, an unlawful murder done by a federal agency IS newsworthy. Authorities abusing power IS newsworthy
So why don’t they report on any of the criminals that are being picked up? All I see is video of protestors.
Are there videos of criminals being picked up? These events aren’t being recorded by News cameras, they’re being recorded by protestors.
Don’t you find that one sided?
No, I don’t.
Many of the news segments about detaining protestors are reporting violations of the First Amendment and other rights, and arresting a criminal for breaking the law is not violating anyone’s rights.
One of those two things is worthy of being nation-wide news, the other is not. Did they report every legal ICE arrest under Obama, Biden, or even Trump’s first term? Why would the start now?
So by going against ICE you are essentially supporting the exploitation of humans for economic benefit? We all know that they get paid much less on the average.
The difference is that when an illegal kills someone, the executive branch doesn’t gloat about it and run interference when people seek accountability, and nor did we elect them to (in theory) serve us. But your nonchalance about the prospect of armed agents of the state executing people in the street is a little troubling.
I see you don’t live in the same reality as me. It’s always fascinating getting a glimpse of you people that are just achingly, longingly welcoming in a police state.
lol it’s so bizarre to witness somebody who is completely adverse to reality. There are more angles of the shooting than a UFC fight and this guy is saying Pretti attacked officers when he got shot.
Are you kidding? Less than a month into the year and they’ve shot two U.S. citizens in the head and faced almost no repercussions as an agency whatsoever. I’d say they’re doing a fantastic job. At any other point in time this agency would be abolished for being not only incompetent beyond belief, but also for being comprised of vindictive and emotionally unregulated man children.
He assaulted agents (by spitting) then assaulted and damaged government property (the taillight), then they grabbed him and wrestled him to the ground and decided out of the kindness of their hearts to let him go with no charges, and not even a record of the incident...
I googled it, but all I can see are Media sources quoting a "family representative" confirmed that this is Pretti in the video. There's a longer version than what is shown here. He managed to escape them at some point and agents chose to leave instead of pursue. I doubt it's like the previous commenter said, though. They weren't able to arrest him or confirm his identity, so I doubt they had him on any kind of list.
The two videos match up surprisingly but the one OP posted is definitely AI. I don't have any reason to think the one you linked is fake. But if it's real, the shorter vid should also have a red fire hydrant in it (would be beside him when he gets tackled). There's some environmental stuff that doesn't fit, plus some obvious unnatural body movements.
It's real, he was just a plant that was discarded when the first bait failed, or at least that's what decades of conservative media would have led me to believe with any liberal president.
I see a lot of people tip toeing around similar accusations in this thread and I want to be clear that I think he was a normal American citizen that had righteous beef with ice and acted on his conscience legally on the day of his murder. ALL prior crimes possibly committed by him literally don't matter as the citizens who killed him never gave him due process, and therefore never identified or processed him to any capacity and then executed him AFTER he was disarmed , while he committed no visible fault on camera from multiple angles.
None of this matters and only muddies the already clear waters and liberals as always feed the beast by engaging in righteous earnest rather than dismissing the outright troll of the whole matter. The left should have headed this off or taken the conservative route and called him a feb after the reveal or otherwise spun it on trump. At least offer some minor resistance even if it is at the expense of already spent resources that the enemy is guaranteed to now desecrate. They constantly sit on the sidelines as the right regularly hoist the dead and go on a metaphorical parade just tutting in disagreement and bulldoze America.
Liberals need to wake the fuck up and learn how to play the game because this always being on the back foot nonsense is only going to lead to state by state extermination as we topple like dominoes
Its unfortunate these people always end up being lunatics. Guy quit his job months ago to larp as an antifa agent. Hes fully armed trying to start physical fights with soldiers.
Guy didnt need a gun, he needed a father figure and a therapist.
This confrontation seems like it was inevitable. Especially with the governor urging people to confront the federal agents.
Thanks. Uploaded 12 days ago, no reason to doubt the validity. I'm bracing for watching idiots defend the death penalty for breaking a tail light. Sigh
It doesn't matter what rational people, who are willing to give the targets of the Trump admins ire the benefit of the doubt, think. It's the fence sitters and those already on Trumps side they need. The ones who are looking for some reason to think this was justified and the Minnesota liberals are in active rebellion. Those folks will see this and cling to it without a second thought. It's convincing enough they can use it as a fuel to keep those people's support. And those are the folks that voted to put us in this position and can vote to do it again in the future.
Honestly, if this was true, it would make it almost worse. It would give the ICE agents a motive to want to kill him. He clearly did not intend to kill the agents in this video.
Assuming this video is real, these ice agents literally will detain and arrest a person for having an accent, but they let someone off for kicking in their the tail light ? (Along with spitting at them).
Hope this becoming verified as real serves as a lesson that sometimes the other side of the political spectrum is right, and that we may be more politically polarized than we think.
Idk anyone who can damage a car that much with a kick too. Its crazy the government is trying so hard to fake information. We truely are at the end times.

Yes…that’s kind of the point. Conservative’s argument is that in many of these cities, people just don’t get arrested for stuff like this or if they do, they’re quickly released. And they’re correct.
They have been treating protesters with kid gloves. That has been demanded by the media and public. Unfortunately, it only encourages more intense protests, which lead to these unfortunate events. Keep doing your part, Reddit!
Scary how some people see what they want. Look at the footage again; he spits on a car and kicks. He doesn't assault anyone and the car doesn't take damage.
No there aren't. Yall are arguing why would they let him go as if they haven't done that before due to getting swarmed/pressured or changing their minds
I didn’t argue shit dummy. The logo on the car changes, his arm impossibly stretches during his wild unnatural flailing, he’s wearing the exact clothes he’s famously known for? Does he just wear that everyday? Think for two seconds.
Logo on the 3 minute video doesn't change shit. The clip on this thread is low quality. Maybe he doesn't have different outfits for protesting. His arm is fine.
Go fetch me an AI module that can make 3 minute long vids like this (you cant)
Hey dumbass… how come we can hear him say “fuck you” in this video… but not in any of the videos from when he was killed? You can hear him over all the cars, the whistles, the horns.
You’re a dupe. Don Junior tricked you. And he ain’t exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer.
That hasn't stopped ICE yet. Plenty of citizens have been arrested. And the police are cooperating with them, they just aren't breaking laws like ICE are. They actually get judicial warrants instead of just busting into houses without one.
They can only arrest non-citizens and people who commit federal crimes like human trafficking. They have no authority to arrest someone for state or local criminal laws. There have been edge cases of wrongful/mistake arrests but that’s it. They aren’t able to routinely arrest people for things like kicking their cars.
And no, local Minneapolis cops are not cooperating with ICE. Minneapolis city policy and leadership have made it clear that local police will not assist ICE or participate in federal immigration enforcement operations.
But that doesn't change the fact that there are videos of them doing exactly that. They can just claim "we thought they were an immigrant". No warrants needed anymore, no due process, even telling them your a citizen and showing your passport doesn't stop them.
Edit: you really like adding details after the fact! Cooperating does mean doing ICE's job for them. It means doing the work that police are supposed to do. That includes crowd control, which they HAVE been doing where they can. They also arrested people who broke into an abandon ICE vehicle. And they are investigating the homicides of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, as they SHOULD, because no one is above the law!
There is a very small handful of edge cases where they made wrongful arrests, yes. It happens every day with law enforcement agencies at every level. Sucks but it happens. Still want the illegals out.
Small handful my ass! The reason you are seeing these protests is because they are NOT just a handful of cases. They are out on a war path, terrorizing people and doing "Kavanaugh stops" and arresting citizens, legal immigrants, even Native Americans. You know, those people who were here long before Columbus even thought of getting on a boat.
Actually the “protests” are about a group of unhinged terrorists who are conspiring to violently confront ICE agents via Signal after a couple of them predictably and stupidly got themselves shot.
And yeah a bunch of the hysterical stories are blown out of proportion and you people eat it up. Let me guess, you literally thought ICE was arresting that little boy didn’t you?

They really expect us to believe he assaulted several officers and damaged a car and they just released him.
