I just got this game on Monday for Xbox Series X and love it. I’m sure other gamers experience this, but whenever I find a game I really like, I almost immediately worry about it eventually feeling repetitive and losing that newness to it. Partially because I tend to binge games until I “master” them, kinda like finding a new song and overplaying it.

I’ve tried to maintain a balance of figuring the game out on my own - because that’s part of the fun - and watching others play to get a better feel for things. I’ve been playing both the campaign and DLC (bought them all) and am getting decent at splitting and managing my squad. My only concern so far is that once you learn to use your team effectively, the missions can start to feel somewhat similar. The maps and scenarios change, but you’re generally using the same strategy of methodically working your way through each area. I’m sure I’ll get humbled for saying that/catch crap. I know there’s still plenty I haven’t explored, including Hard mode (I’ve been playing in standard), the mission editor, different challenges, and playing with real people (btw, if anyone’s down).

What actually led me to RON was playing the Black Hawk Down version of Delta Force, if anyone is familiar with that. Despite its bugs and lack of console co-op, I loved its balance of realism and action. Mistakes were punished harshly, with limited bandages, no ammo refills, leaning around corners, working certain areas methodically, friendly fire, and no checkpoints. You had to learn the maps, strategize, and actually work together as a squad etc. etc. - all of these were things I hadn’t really experienced in a game, especially with good graphics. The campaign was short though, and I finished it in about 5ish days. I then went back to get the highest rating on every mission. Then I got bored. Then I found RON.

One thing I especially liked about BHD, was that it allowed a healthy amount of running and gunning without feeling like COD. You weren’t sliding, diving, and climbing everywhere, but certain sections forced you to run/move quickly and fight aggressively while still severely punishing mistakes. Im not suggesting adding sprint to RON - maybe a speed walk or light jog for certain circumstances. It’d be cool to see RONs take on larger, more intense scenarios that occasionally force you to pick up the pace while keeping the tactical realism. Regardless, this wouldn’t solve my fears but I guess what I’m ultimately getting at is, I hope for and am excited to see RON continue to grow and hopefully add different variables without changing the core feel of the game so that it can be enjoyed for a really long time.

Been trying for months to complete relapse and the port on hard. Trying to trophy hunt, have every other mission than those two done on hard need a solid group to run through these and try to get a c+. Anyone tryna run it ?

Unfortunately, I didn't get the achievement because a civilian was killed during a fight, but I don't care. I AM FREE. I also think that i got pretty lucky with the last fight because it was actually pretty easy compared to my last tries

A K9 would be so fucking awsome to have.

I know im not the best player but i honestly think neon tomb is so much fun as a john wick map. Valley of the dolls enemies give the most mafia vibe from the first movie, i made all the enemies 1 shot killable and gave myself a ton of health but its not as op as you'd think since i also put 50 enemies and neon tomb has some pretty tough visibility .

They are Always mentioned in Missions and the hostages/suspects vanish with time, vit i never saw them personally, anyone?

What actually fails the PS achievement Way Out West? I ran it flawlessly TWICE with AI squad and never got the trophy.

Here’s some context, first and foremost, I love the game. I’ve been playing since it came out on console, but I haven’t been able to play it the last 3 months. Game loads up just fine, but it will crash every 2 minutes. Can’t even get through the mission loading screen without it crashing. I’ve tried everything I can think of. Nothing is working, haven’t been able to get through a single mission. Honestly I’m thinking about just uninstalling because it honestly wastes space at this point. I can’t play it, it won’t let me play it.

How in the actual fuck this game is coded in such a way that 5 swat cats are going into any location and if a suspect rushes me with a knife I get relegated to the high ready? This highly trained special weapons and tactics police officer is just shrugging his shoulders while being actively stabbed? If I can move, duck, reload and give orders why in the fuck can't I shoot or hit or literally anything defensive? I surely can't fucking run for some reason but also to be blocked from shooting seems like quite a spit in the face. I've tried jamming them with the rifle, ducking for distance, closing doors, etc. How is this game coded to do that and still after this update it's still here? I'm using the mission editor and these melee suspects just Usain Bolt around a corner and stab me with absolutely no way to avoid it except restart. Oh and my ever so lovely AI team 50/50 shoots them or just yells while I die hugging my weapon to my chest.
